Elecrick Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I am trying to upgrade from an ISY-26 to an ISY-99i Pro. I have not replaced my 2412S PLM. The cable from the PLM to the ISY-26 has a serial female connector to plug in the male jack on the ISY-26. My new ISY-99i Pro has a serial female jack which is not compatible with the female cable connector. I connected the PLM to the ISY-99i Pro with a cat5 cable. The unit powers up and I was able to restore my devices; however, the unit does not see status or communicate with the devices. I have swapped out cables, but the problem remains. I have also tried powering the unit separately. Is the ISY-99i compatible with the 2412S when using the RJ45 port? If so, any suggestions as to the cause of my problem?
LeeG Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Use Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status which should show PLM address, PLM firmware, and Connected. What was done to "restore devices"? Was a Restore ISY run to transfer the 26 configuration into the 99? Runs Tools | Diagnostics | Shoe PLM Links Table to verify PLM has the expected link records.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Hello Elecrick, In addition to Lee's questions, my questions is: what firewall software do you use? Is it possible that you had put exclusion rules for your ISY26 but now ISY99 has a new IP and thus not excluded from your firewall rules? With kind regards, Michel
