since blackberry doesnt and most likely will never have a mobilinc (or other) app it would be handy that when going to the web console it would detect that it is a mobile browser and give a more friendly interface.

Hello flemingmike,

What firmware version do you have? All releases after 3.1.x have a Javascript interface for all mobile devices. It has been tested on BlackBerry as well though Bold makes it really difficult to list devices and still be able to read things.

With kind regards,

Michel

I have 3.1.17. It does work, just doesn't flow well on a blackberry. It loads the same page as when on a pc. I find I have to scroll left and right a lot, the icons are on top of the labels for controling devices. I use a blacberry torch.

Was wondering if there was ever any resolution on this. I'm running 3.2.6 and have the same issue with my Blackberry.

Is there any way to use the previous interface that didn't have the red and green buttons? That version, though not as pretty, formatted properly on the Blackberry. Thanks!

Hi Michel,

Thanks for the prompt response. I will send you a screenshot as soon as I can. I'm not sure how to do a screen grab on a Blackberry and ironically the only camera I have right now is the phone itself, so I'll need to get a friend to take a photo.

Regards and thanks for the continued awesome support.

ChrisNYC,

What phone do you have or what resolution is it running?

As of 3.2.0 and later the web interface should shrink down to as small as 320px wide. And even smaller resolutions shouldn't have the label overlapping problem the original poster did (but will have scrolling).

Is blackberry adding an always visible scroll bar or anything else to either side that might make it narrower?

There is no question that there are problems with the mobile web page.

I'm using a windows mobile phone with version 3.2.6 and as before it's still quite strange.

All of the pages load ok, but they contain a bunch of white boxes below them full of what appears to be javascript. This is really annoying and makes the page quite confusing. This is in IE mobile as well as Opera mobile. It would seem like this would be something very easy to fix.

The web application that was spoken of earlier does not appear to work on Windows Mobile (v 6.5). The admin.jnlp file downloads fine, but there is no means to install it that I'm aware of once it's downloaded.
