ISY99i- ...uploading file (reported written size is invalid)

I have tried everything on the forums when trying to upgrade to 3.1.17:

AV off

Firewall off

same switch

PC harddrive is SSD

cleared cache + cookies

cleared java certs

file save with xxx extension instead of zip

on the ISY99i... removed all devices, disabled all programs

have tried to upgrade about 50 times.

Any other advice?

"file save with xxx extension instead of zip"

That will fail for sure. Must remain a Zip in a Zip.

What browser is being used? One of the browsers automatically unzips during download. Since the image is a Zip in a Zip it appears to still be a Zip file but is wrong. Right click the download link and select option that does not unzip.

I tried right click and save as zip, as well as right click and save as 123.xxx.

Both had the same result.

When doing the upgrade it fails at different parts .. sometimes 2%, 15%, and I event got to 55% once.

So I do not think it is related to the file extension.

I also tried to apply 2.8.16, but that failed.

I think I upgraded to Windows 7 on all my machines since I last upgraded the ISY.

Is there something specific about Win 7 ... some service I should stop?

Hello dlandrum,

As long as you have a zip file, then the possible problems could be:

1. Your firewall software. You might want to try https instead of http as some firewalls do not consider https a threat

2. If you are still having problems, please do contact our tech support team and we'll be delighted to help you upgrade

With kind regards,

Michel

As close-out, this was resolved by re-imaging my SD card.

I am now fully upgraded.

Thanks for the help!
