ISY-99i newbie question Need help

Featured Replies

I just purchased an ISY-99i and PLM, plugged them in and configured them. I logged into the ISY-99 no issues. I just installed my first switch, 2477D, but i cannot get it to show up in the ISY-99. I currently am an x10 user and I want to move to Insteon. I pushed the set button on the switch and clicked on the start linking buttonin the ISY-99 and nothing appears. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Linking order you describe is backwards...first put the isy into linking mode. Then put the rsponder device into linking mode. Hopefully, your device will now show up.

I have tried it both ways, and nothing shows up. I have looked at my ISY-99 and there are no lights flashing at all. Just the power light is on steady.

it's finally working, many reboots, now everything appears fine

Hello bdw72,

I am so very sorry to hear about all the problems you were having.

Based on what I read, I think the problem might be the firewall software on your computer blocking ISY from publishing events to the Admin Console. If you have a firewall software on your computer, it would be best to put ISY in the trusted zone/white list.

With kind regards,

Michel
