Hello all,

I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.2.3 release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post.

This is a minor release which fixes outstanding bugs and device compatibility issues

Know Issues

None

Things to test:

- MorningLinc

- SynchorLinc

- EZxx

- SwitchLinc Timer

-- You might have to remove devices and then add them back to ISY

Important Information

1. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade.

2. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari.

3. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion

4. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly

5. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum.

Instructions:

1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK

2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip

ISY 99i Series

ISY 994i Series

3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system]

4. Choose the file saved in step 2

5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache

6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console:

a. 99/994i - http://isy/admin - applet (Windows only)

b. 99/994i - http://isy/admin.jnlp - Java application (Windows only)

c. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet

d. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application

e. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.3 - applet

f. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.3/admin.jnlp - Java application

Dashboard - not fully supported

- http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp

8. Please backup your system again

Thanks and with kind regards,

Michel

Update went fine with out incident. However, the SwitchLinc Timer still does not function as it did before. I have appended a screen shot of the error message here. Performing the Query Insteon Engine does not restore the devices timer values.

This *Ceiling Light* during install functioned just fine, and the 15 minute timer would operate as one would expect and also blink one minute prior to turning off. After some iteration of the 3.X.X this value changed to an insane value of 255 minutes which could not be changed.

Now, with the 3.2.3 firmware release this device is locked at 0 minutes. :?:

This will not upload to my ISY.

The first time i received an error, and afterwards nothing happens when i try upgrading ( no dialog box or error message).

For the sake of trying I decided to perform a manual enrollment of the device. I used both Switchlinc Timers that were in the drop down list.

There was no change in the over all behavior but I did note that using one over the other required 10 times the amount of time to complete the same task. For what ever its worth this was the pop up error after completing the add device manually.

FWIW, I updated two ISY99s both running 2.8.16, one on my local lan the other remote, to 3.2.2 early this morning without a problem and I just updated them both to 3.2.3 again no problem.

Thanks,

Tom

Hello Teken,

Please do be kind enough to submit a ticket (link below). At this point, the best thing to do would be to log in to your system and see what's going on. From the event viewer entries, everything seems to be OK and it should work.

CMartin, what was the first error? You might want to try https://your.isy.ip.address ... I suspect your firewall is blocking the Admin Console from communicating with your ISY.

With kind regards,

Michel

Hello Michel,

When ever the UDI team is ready is fine. I will await for the release via this forum so all can benefit from the updates.

As always I thank you, and the UDI developmental team.

Is it just me? Am I going stupid in my old age? I suddenly find I can't delete a folder in the "Main" tab. The right click does nothing on a folder. It works fine on a folder under the "Programs" tab, but not under the "Main" tab.

Running 3.2.3. Both lines show in Help/About.

Upgraded to 3.2.3 from 3.2.2 no problem. But I continue to get the same "Request Failed" when setting options on my timer switch (2476ST), same as Teken.

I've never used Folders in the Main tab but did create one. A right click on the Folder name does nothing.

I had created a temporary folder to use my RemoteLinc as a sprinkler zone controller while I was having some heads fixed. Now I can't delete the folder. Used to work.

Anyway, thanks for confirming. Did you manage to delete the folder you created? Is there another way to do it?

Not that I can find. I guess I could go to a backup but that seems a little extreme. I’ll wait until the UI is fixed in some later beta release.

Hello CMartin, are you sure the file is zipped? Please do NOT unzip the file. If you are on MAC, then the problem is that MAC automatically unzips the files. You may want to press the Ctrl button while downloading so that the file stays zipped.

andyfo, that's a bug and thanks so very much for finding it. It is fixed in 3.2.4 to be released on Monday or Tuesday.

All, we are still trying to figure out the issue with SWL Timer and thus the delay in our 3.2.4 release. Has anyone been able to ever set the timeout values on this device? If so, can you tell me which firmware version?

With kind regards,

Michel

Run Help | About. Does the Firmware line and the UI line both show 3.2.3? If not clear the Java cache and be sure to use the URL for accessing the 3.2.3 Admin Console.

Are there multiple Motion Sensors installed. There has to be more than one for the Replace option to work.

Cannot set locally-applied ramp rate or level on v.27 SWL Dimmer (2476D) through ISY.

The Single/Double-click set button method at the switch works though.

I was having problems with a v.27 SWL Dimmer turning on randomly. All of the device links seemed correct so I tried factory reset followed by restore without success. I then tried completely removing the device from ISY and then re-adding it. After adding the unit to the appropriate scenes, I noticed that although ISY thought the unit's local ramp rate was 2.0 sec, it behaved as if it was 0.1 sec.

I tried through ISY to change the ramp rate to several different values. There were no errors and ISY seemed to think that the change was successfully accomplished but when checked at the switch, I found the ramp rate was still 0.1sec.

I used the double-click of the units set button and WAS able to successfully set the ramp rate. Perhaps ISY is not writing to the correct EPROM location for this version of SWL or do I have a bad SWL that hears link addresses but not other commands???

Right click SwitchLinc node, select Diagnostics | Query Insteon Engine.

Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer with Level 3-Device communications events selected (most important). Set the Ramp Rate (applied locally) slider on the SwitchLinc node display and post the event trace. Be sure a Progress Bar displays when the slider has been dropped to a new location.

Is the Sensor node being right clicked? That is the primary node which has the Replace option. The other nodes do not have the Replace option.

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your response. Below is the event viewer data taken while attempting to change the ramp rate to 6.5sec. After this was executed, the ramp rate remained at the previous manually-set 2sec:
