Niccolo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I just upgraded and now my iPhone and iPad will no longer get me to the admin console to check Elk security. I was able to download the admin console on my Mac, but iPhone and iPad won't open a Java file. Any solutions?
Michel Kohanim Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hi Niccolo, Neither iPhone/iPad support Java. Can you tell me what URL you are using? With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Thank you Niccolo, So, is the problem the fact that you can no longer arm/disarm ELK from our HTML page? Unfortunately we had to disable that feature for security reasons. Or, you cannot even arm/disarm ELK from the Admin Console (on a regular computer/browser)? With kind regards, Michel

With kind regards, Michel Prior to the upgrade, I could go to the URL and be able to arm or disarm from my iPhone or iPad. I cn do it from a reguar computer, but obviously being able to do it - and check status -- from the iPhone is a major benefit. Is it possible to undo the upgrade?
Michel Kohanim Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hello Niccolo, I am so very sorry ... yes, you can undo the upgrade but you will have to restore your backup from 2.8.16. With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Hi Niccolo, As you may have noticed, we have changed our basic HTML page with a little nicer UI which uses Javascript. As long as your mobile phone supports Javascript, then yes ... this should be fixed after the upgrade. With kind regards, Michel

With kind regards, Michel Michel: I have downloaded the upgrade and have set ELK to show in setting. But when I click on Elk, I get the message: "ELK Rest comment failed, checking Elk status." I have tried reset and refresh, but nothing further. What do I need to do? Thanks. Niccolo

Niccolo Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 Hi Niccolo, This is another firmware revision 3.2.6 which you will have to install. With kind regards, Michel Thanks! Michel: I am having a weird issue with 3.2.6 and iPhone. When I link to the site I get the blue UD screen and "Load config," but no panel asking for user ID and password, so it never actually connects. This does not happen on computers or iPad. Just on iPhone. Any ideas? Thanks. Niccolo
Xathros Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Niccolo, I just tested this with 3.2.6 and my iPhone 4s without issue using both Safari and Perfect Browser. -Xathros

I have it working intermittently. Is there a recommended "off" or "exit" procedure that I am not following that is perhaps hanging it up? Niccolo
