Smart Home / Insteon has 2 new devices. One light Bulb and a new Switchlinc for 2-wire installations (Old Homes).

When do you anticipate support for these?

The SwitchLinc should be supported in the next beta.

 

Light bulb, I really do not know as we have not been given any development information on it.

Thanks for the reply Michel. The New 2 wire Switchlinc is probably the most important item for now. I just found out about the light bulb and I still haven't decided its value to me. You need to have either a remotelinc or some other insteon device in order to take advantage of the light bulb. I would rather just use a dimming LED bulb with the same switchlinc or remotelinc.

Can you give us an idea of what is on the immediate, near and far term list of coming new tools for the ISY?

The most immediate release is mostly fixes to support I2CS devices.

 

We still haven't agreed upon the contents of the future releases.

Take a look at the maximum ramp rate that can be set. I can see users setting it to the longest delay and thinking it is dead.
