KPL non toggle button as a trigger

Featured Replies

In 2.3 I've set up a KPL button as non-toggle (sending 'on') and I can add this to a scene and have it work as expected. I created a trigger saying when this button is on turn on another device and it never fires.

The KPL button is in no scenes.

I also tried saying 'when button is off'.

evarsanyi,

The issue with triggers in 2.3 is that they work based on "state change" and not "button press". As such, if you have a non-toggle button, the state never changes (always off) and therefore the trigger is not run. Our new enhanced trigger/scheduler functionality rectifies this issue (2.4).

With kind regards,

Michel
