jsp Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Hi, I am looking into automating the thermostat and was wondering if the new Venstar Skyport Wifi adapter for the T5800 would be controllable with the ISY... I have not seen any information about an available API or any other application than the mobile one. Anyone knows or have controlled this model using network resources, or is there any plan to support the device has a thermostat in ISY? I need a thermostat that can control humidity(HRV)/dehumidifier so my list is quite limited... Any input is welcome!!
ISYhbsh01 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 The Venstar T1800 & T1900 both support humidity & dehumidifier control and are Insteon controllable so they would be natively supported by the ISY. For the T1800 you would need to buy an additional humidity module for about $30 while the T1900 has the humidity module built in.
Autoplt Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Hi, I am pretty new to HA but am looking seriously into the skyport to add a thermostat to my system. I have looked all around but can't seem to find anything explaining how/if you can actually add a wifi communicating thermostat to the isy controller. Any help or a point in direction would be much appeciated!
Michel Kohanim Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Hello Autoplt, Unfortunately ISY does not yet support any WiFi communicating thermostats. With kind regards, Michel
Issacsim Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hello Autoplt, Unfortunately ISY does not yet support any WiFi communicating thermostats. With kind regards, Michel Will ISY support it eventually?
Michel Kohanim Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hello Issacsim, Unfortunately we do not have any such plans yet unless the demand gets high. With kind regards, Michel
