I finally determined it was my DeWalt cordless drill battery charger. Of all things, I would have never guess it would be that battery charger. Anyone else surprised? The lesson to others reading this is never assume it cannot be something when looking for a device causing interference (noise or attenuation). The latest lithium chargers use some sort of capacitor in the charging device which is causing the absorption. The none lithium units do not experience this problem. Teken . . . jmed999 Posted August 16, 2012 Author Share Posted August 16, 2012 Mine is about a 6 year old NiCAD 18 Volt Dewalt cordless drill charger. I have tried it dozens of times and when it's plugged in (in my garage) it makes a huge difference. Plugged into a filter everything works flawlessly.
