Latest version of PLM

I have a PLM that I purchased in January that shows Rev 2.6.

I just received a couple new PLM's and they are Rev 1.75.

Did Smarthome change their numbering? Which one is newer and does one of them have the new capacity, etc.?

My understanding is that Rev 2.7 and lower have the standard memory, while Rev 2.75 (and above) are extended memory.

I've never seen one labeled Rev 1.75 - I wonder if it's a type-o?

MikeB,

I think 1.75 is the correct version with extended memory.

With kind regards,

Michel

I think this as been discussed somewhere but could not find it.

Is there a way to tell other than the version number? Is there a way to poll the PLM to get the necessary information?

My extended memory PLM is version 2.75. It is possible that SH could have changed things recently.

Hello mohansen,

Unfortunately, at the moment, the only way to figure out the PLM version is to reboot ISY while connected to Hyperterminal; PLM ID and version are listed when ISY starts communicating with the PLM.

With kind regards,

Michel

Is it possible to connect Hyperterminal directly to the PLM and send some command to get the version or at least when the PLM boots it would send out something?

Thanks for sharing. I used that tool and it shows firmware version 62 for the PLM that has Rev 2.6 printed on the back.

It shows version 63 for the one that has Rev 1.75 printed on the back.

So it appears that version 1.75 is newer than Rev 2.6.

I have a unit coming in tomorrow, I'll post back with what it's labeled.

My previous extended memory PLM was labeled Rev 2.75, and firmware was v63.

What is the change from 2.75 you have and the new one coming?

???

Not sure I follow you. I don't know if it will be different. Like I posted above I'll report back what the rev label and firmware version is.

Why are you replacing the one you already have is what I meant. I thought stated you already have one with extended memory etc. that was 2.75 and V63. "Was" seemed to imply something happened to it or you were looking for one with upgraded features.

Got my PLM in today, it is labeled v2.75. I'd bet that the v1.75 label is a type-o.

I had 2 PLM's that came at the same time. Both labeled 1.75 and with firmware version 62.

It appears that others that have 2.75 have firmware version 63.

Still seems odd to me and not consistent.

I thought you checked and your v1.75 labeled PLM had v63 firmware?

Does seem odd... I'd give SmartHome a call to check what's up.

My memory is not what it used to be.

I reviewed what I posted before and it was accurate. My 1.75 labeled PLM is version 63.

Must be a typo on the sticker.

Thanks everyone for your help.
