My https site/password help

Featured Replies

Guys I have my https:/my.ip.address.com saved on my droid's homepage. It works great but even with the setting on my droid to not remember passwords it still doesn't ask for a password.

I can clear the cache, history, cookies, form data, location, access and passwords and restart and it will ask for my username and password. Then with "remember passwords unchecked" the next time I open the https site it does remember the password.

Since this also controls my Elk M1 Gold I'm worried that losing my phone could be a breach in security. How can I get this page to not remember my password every time I access it? Thoughts?

Thanks! 8)

Since this is done on my droid there is no check box to remember the password. I have cleared everything and it still remembers my password.

Hi jmed999,

Please try this:

While in the browser, push menu | more | settings and then scroll down to "Clear Passwords". Once you've cleared the passwords, login to your ISY and when it asks if you want it to remember your password select "Never".

Please note that this will delete all passwords and form information for all other websites as well.

With kind regards,

Michel

Thanks for the reply!

While in the browser I pushed menu, then settings, then privacy and security, then pressed clear passwords. I also made sure the box "remember passwords" was unchecked. I then went back to the ISY page in the browser and it didn't ask for the password.

So I went back into settings and did the same thing as above then restarted the phone. Once rebooted I went to the browser and the ISY page. It then asked for my username and password. 8) There was no box on that screen to check asking me if I wanted it to remember my password but I do have that box unchecked in the settings menu. So I entered my username and password and it went to the ISY page.

I then went to another website and back to the ISY page and it remembered my password and didn't ask for one.

So my issue still isn't solved. Not sure what else to do.

ANy ideas?

Thanks for the reply! I have installed task killer. When I enter my username and password then kill the browser by closing it or using task manager to kill it then restart the browser and go back to the ISY page it still remembers the username and password.

I still have "remember passwords" in settings unchecked.
