Mike Ippolito Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue and I ran across these errors in my log. The IP address' the ISY is using are not listed anywhere in my ISY setup. When I look to see what devices they are it's even more strange: 10.0.0.121 and ..120 - DirectTV Receiver 10.0.0.10 is the macbook I'm running (I'm guessing it's the admin console) Any idea why the ISY is flooding my network with requests to my DirecTV boxes? Michel Kohanim Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Hi mikeiud, Actually, it's the other way around. It's DirecTV that indiscriminately floods the network with UPnP packets and then, again indiscriminately and without regards to type, contacts those devices that respond. In some cases, the problem is so severe that ISY might lock up. We have not been able to figure out what causes these burst from DirecTV. With kind regards, Michel
Mike Ippolito Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Turning off UPNP on the Netgear router stopped all the traffic. Thanks.
