HokiePerogi Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I'm trying to generate and install a new certificate. The domain I'm attempting to use is something like: xxxxx.dyndns.org When I my domain into the box, keep key strength at 512, check save, and click OK, I get an error stating: "Invalid SSL Certificate Please reinstall the certifiate" Click OK "Upgrade Failed: java.lang.NullPointerException" Why is this happening? Certifiate is spelled incorrectly in the popup. Thank you!
Michel Kohanim Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 HokiePerogi, First of all, thanks for finding the spelling mistake. Questions: 1. Are you local to your ISY? (you have to be) 2. Do you get asked to authenticate in the Config Utility? It seems that The Config utility cannot communicate with ISY; this has nothing to do with the domain name you choose. Please do let me know. With kind regards, Michel I'm trying to generate and install a new certificate. No, I was doing this at work coming through my Fios Router (Fios UPNP config worked automatically - great work!) 2. Yes, I am asked for the admin password when hitting the Config Utility via http://xxxxx.dyndns.org. I will retry generating the new CERT when I'm on the same LAN as the ISY tonight. Thank you.

Redrox Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Hello Michel, thank you for your response. I turned off all my firewalls but I am still getting the same error. After updating to the 2.6.2 Version it also tells me to disable my internet access which is already disabled in the ISY software. Redrox, Do you have any firewall software?
