I have been having an issue with my insteon system where all the lights in my house go on at random times. There is no pattern to when they come on and I cannot force it to happen. It happens once every two to three weeks and sometimes it won't happen for a month or more. It can happen any time of the day. What's disturbing also is that the app on my phone does not indicate that the lights are on when this happens so if I'm away from the house I have no way of knowing if this event has happened and my lights will be on all day or night. When attempting to link a Schlage Connect FE469NX door lock to my ISY 994iZw (firmware v4.3.3), I'm getting an error telling that "Cannot add nodes for new Z-Wave door lock 8 (too many nodes?)". My ISY controller manages approx. 100-110 Insteon devices. I was also able to successfully link 4 Z-Wave repeaters. I do not believe I exceeded the 256-device limitation on ISY. I already tried all common troubleshooting steps like factory resetting the Z-Wave dongle and door lock. Despite all attempts, this error consistently occurs . Here is the log. I tried to follow some screen shotted instructions to program the keypad. The buttons do what they are suppose to but for example now I turned the fan on via the motor icon in the console and my keypad off is still lit.

Having my ISY with Z-wave system controlling my HA - one of the products I would like to use is SmartSense Presence Sensor (http://www.amazon.com/SmartThings-STSS-PRES-001-SmartSense-Presence-Sensor/dp/B00GM7V8I8/ref=pd_sim_60_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=0JQAJCSXNGC92J336RD0). Hi again everyone, Been a busy few weeks and I've been away from experimenting with my ISY... Anyway, I had remote access working fine from my iPhone after some great help from the team in setting up port forwarding. It was very easy and he explained that the Cisco home routers are pretty straightforward. Literally took 3 minutes, if that. So... nothing has changed as far as I know, except I can't get in via the IP I was using before, and though I've been reading a bit, I'm stuck! I want the BuzzLinc to buzz 3 times when either of 3 hidden door sensors are open between sunset and sunrise the next day. The buzzer sounds whenever a door is opened, i.e., it is unrestricted as to the timeframe. What am I doing wrong? I cannot get to my admin console, it says "Certificate has been revoked. The application will not be executed." I have added the ip address of my ISY to the exception list in the java app. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not at home and I just woke up to a pushover notification on my phone from 5:47am it says Garage Door Open even though no one is home. When I check the ISY log though it seems weird almost like it restarted or something at the exact same time. I have a program that turns the garage light and backyard light on if the garage door opens and I see those statuses changing to on, just wondering if it looks like the door actually did open or not from this log. It shows system restart at the same time so seems like a weird coincidence? I'm looking at possibly purchasing the 2441TH SmartHome Insteon Thermostat... but wondered what kind of programming options the ISY has available for it? Does anyone have a screen capture? For example, could I have a RemoteLinc and press Bright to bump the temp up a degree, or tap dim 3 times to drop the temp 3 degrees? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using txt msg alerts to let me know when certain events happen. I seem to remember all of my msgs coming from an "alerts@..." source but regardless, they always came from the same source each time so that all of my alerts were in the same sender log on my cell phone. Now, every message comes from a different sender with the sender being of the form 9489, 9490, 9491, etc. I would like to get these back to being all from the same sender so they're all grouped together and I have a history of alerts in one place. I've looked for this on the forum but wasn't able to find a concise answer (sorry if this has been discussed before). I have a bunch of insteon devices and am concerned about hitting the limits of either the PLM or ISY with regards to number of devices if I add more. I recently switched my IOLINC from Momentary A to Momentary C in the ISY and have added 2 Scenes, one as a Garage Door Relay and one as a Garage Door Status scene. So I just jumped in to Insteon and the ISY994. First I found out that my ISY didn't ship with an microSD card so I found one from around the house and figured I've give it a go from scratch installing the firmware etc. WHen I try and connect, I get the following errors. XML Parse Error http://192.168.66.103:63335/0/d.xml Socket Open Failed java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information I get this on 2 different computers and nothing else I try allows me to connec to the ISY. The .103 IP address is the one that my router seems to have assigned to the ISY but that is as far as I get. Any ideas?

I have successfully added the garage I/O to the ISY, but am having trouble getting the garage door to open/close. When I send a signal nothing is happening....I tried to follow the wiki page to help setup scene for garage door sensor/relay but with no success. Hi, I use a saved web page favorite to login to ISY & a DDNS to keep track of the system. The other day it stopped working. I also use subsonic & port forwarding - same as my ISY. Now it wont work. If i type My.ip.com:4034 it used to work & now doesnt work. My subsonic is set to 4035 & works fine. If I change my port forwarding rules so the ISY has 4035, it doesnt work. If I swap back it does. If I put subsonic on 4034 it works fine. What may be the problem? The subsonic & ISY are on the same switch. It worked fine & now doesnt. Any suggestions would be welcome. I have two side gates with Outdoor Honeywell 5816OD Sensors on them. I want to receive a notification if the gates are left open for more than a minute (when unarmed) and need a bit of clarification how to do this. I was thinking I could do this easy as one program but I don't think it will work. Would this be best for a variable? Like a program that sets the variable to 1 and 0 based on the zone violation from the ELK (1=Opened/Violated and 0=Closed/Normal) - then program 2 sees variable 1 and waits then checks to see what the variable is after the time frame needed and sends a notification if its not back to 0? Hi, Is there a motion sensor (and not battery operated) that's compatible with ISY? I am tired of buying and changing batteries of my motion sensors regularly. I have 1 Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Multi-Sensor but it has to near ISY due I dont have z-wave extender. Any recommendations please? Thanks. PS. I placed a jumper across GND and N/O on an IOLinc (#2450) and a piezoelectric buzzer (21N30PQ) connected to 5V and COM. The IOLinc linked first try. Turning the device on produced an audible click but no buzzer. Not being familiar with the IOLinc, is there a potential polarity issue since the buzzer has positive and negative posts? Any suggestions?

This is for an 8 button KPL. I would like to define button G to be On and brighten when held down. I would like to define button H to be Off and dim when held down. I set button G and H to each be non-toggle. I put button G in a scene with the desk light. I clicked the red button under the scene name and set the on level of the light (listed on the lower half) to 30% and set a ramp rate. I put button H in a different scene with the desk light. I clicked on the red button G in the scene and set the light level to 0%. Button G works. Press and release and it goes to 30% as set in the scene. Press and hold, and it will brighten. I have two very similar programs which I created to turn my TV and sound bar on. They both use a variable set by a geofence. The first program turns my TV on/off when I come and go. The second program simply turns my TV on at 9:00AM every morning assuming I'm home. For some reason, the program which is set to trigger at 9:00 am always executes upon rebooting my ISY (assuming I'm within the geofence - 1 means home) or say after a power failure, yet the other launches only when the variable changes accordingly. I have attached screenshots of the programs, any ideas?
