ISY994

So I've got a fanlinc that I recently installed and I think there is an issue. I'm controlling the fan speeds through a 6 button keypad. The keypad seems to be setup correctly. I am using a ISY-99i to control everything. Each button is set up to control the speeds via a scene. The issue is I think the fanlinc isn't switching from low to med to high speeds. It all seems to be high. Any suggestions? Thanks A separate issue is that my fan has no manual direction switch. I can only switch it using their remote and their IR receiver. Since Fanlinc doesn't have the direction control built in, has anyone figured out a way to get around this?

Thanks for your patience ahead of time with this one... My insteon switchlinc is failing and Smart home sent out a new one. Now I have the task of removing the old and putting in the new. But I seem to recall that if you pull out a device without deleting links things go bad... And I do not want to delete all those relationships between the current switch and my programs. I am intrigued by the "Replace With" function but it presumes the both are on the power line, which is not true since I have to take one out to put the new one in. I just realized the 5 Amp filterlincs I bought are for X10...do they also work with INSTEON?

I know people have been over this but I can't find a good easy link to follow.....I had a power outage and I cannot use my Mobilinc Iphone app over cellular communications. I have my router internal and external port set to 443. My ISY http port is set to 80 and https port set to 443. My mobilinc local port is set to 80. How do I link 2 Remotelincs? ie. I want to create a scene for my garage light. The Garge light will be a responder and 2 remotelincs will be the controllers. When I turn one on I want it reflected on the other two devices.

I need help as I'm having major trouble adding 2 new switchlinc 2-wire dimmers (RF only) - model 2474DWH (v1.0) to my ISY 99i. I tried everything I can think of, but cannot get ISY to finish adding them. The switchlincs are controlling the loads (ceiling lights) fine so the install is good. I tried adding them both with "new insteon device" and "start linking", but every time the progress bar quits abruptly after "writing 0 bytes to devices" and my ISY no longer sees any traffic come through so I have to cut the power to both the ISY and PLM (2413S) to get them working again. Hi, I have the ISY-99i and I'm wondering if there are any touchscreen controllers for it. I know I can use an iPad/iPhone or Android device/tablet in a wall-hanger add-on, but I'm specifically looking for a permanent wall-mounted panel that wouldn't have a plug and wire sticking out of the side of it with a cable running down the wall to the plug. I would like something with a constant source of power that would not need to be taken down and recharged once a week or twice a month. Something similar to the IES wall mounted touch panel (http://www.iescorp-usa.com/?p=ies-insteon) but that works with the ISY. Does anyone make such a device? Thanks!

KeyLincs using 2.7.15 This does not seem well described, or I've missed it. A couple questions ... 1) What is the "default" initial setting for the LED ON and OFF (background) levels? I understand that ON can vary 0 to 15, and the OFF from 0 to 7. 2) When you send an ISY program command for LED brightness, it has you select a specific keylinc button, I presume that that will still affect each of the device's buttons equally, that is only on preset brightness? * Orest

I have front and backyard landscape and coach lights set on a timer via a program that has since been failsafe and ran 99% of the time reliably. I've lately been updating and adding to my vast array of insteon devices. I've noticed twice now that my outside lights never turned on via the program. Is there any way for me to find out why? The programs are all enabled and were even listed as "True" in the summary screen, telling me the times they were to turn off under the "Next time to run" column. TIA

I recently bought a D-link dir-655 router after setting up my isy-99. I thought this would automate the process of connecting to my isy remotely. When I am logged into my isy, no matter what I try I cannot get my isy to allow me to enable internet access. I continue to get an error message stating "Failed Enabling Internet Access." What am I missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. --Brian

Hello all, I just recently purchased a ISY 994i/IR Pro/PowerLinc Modem Combo to help control lighting and garage. I been searching and googling but could not get an answer on how SOMFY RTS wireless motor would work on this setup... I'm planning to get my blinds motorized and found SOMFY RTS to be a good item. However, to get it to communicate with my ISY 994i/IR Pro, is there any other interfaces I would need to puchase to get it working? Also, by doing this, this would allow me to control my blind setup on my iphone as well? Any help is appreciated. I'm really excited on my new purchase. Thank you.

I really hope I'm not going to waste anybody's time with a really stupid question here, but I've been attempting over the course of the past several nights to link buttons on my IRLinc ((2411R) IRLinc Receiver v.00) credit card remote to ISY scenes in what I understand to be "toggle" mode (I want the first button press to turn the scene on, the next to turn it off). A forum search turned up a few folks who seemed to be struggling with linking these buttons in "non-toggle" mode, but not in "toggle" mode I am using the Scene Activation buttons (I - L) to do this, linking them according to the "toggle mode" instructions on the "Add Button To IRLinc Receiver" dialog. …

I've been trying to get my isy-99i to send me a page to USA Mobility pager (numeric, receive-only), and from the dialog box in the Notifications page of my ISY, I've been able to send text messages to my phone, but unfortunately, I can't carry my phone at work. Is there a way to request that USA Mobility pager support be added? There is a web-page interface via USA Mobility's site, but it's not clear to me how I'd be able to utilize that in an automated way. Does it need to be added via some business relationship with UD or is there a generic pager capability in the Notifications pop-up menu that I'm just missing?

I wanted to set a delay between two HVAC units starting up, so I added a wait command in the program. Everything beyond the wait statement never fires. I've read that a wait allows the IF to be re-evaluated, but I don't understand why this stops. It never gets to the flag reset, so shouldn't it read true and continue the rest of the way through? Without that line, the program runs as expected.

I'm getting some weird characters when I send an alert using the device status from several of my Insteon modules. I had a program that triggered on a keypad button being turned on. That button activated a bunch of items that are turned off for power/security reasons when I am not at the guest house. Recently I had a friend visit and realized his attempt to turn the button 'on' was read a 'bright' (guess he held the button too long). So I change my logic from 'if control KEYPAD.E is ON' to 'if control KEYPAD.E is not off' I thought this would trigger on any physical interaction with the button other than off. I have a KPL8 in the kitchen. Main controls the kitchen overhead lights. I have a scene on that same KPL-D to make the kitchen overhead lights dim to 35% when "KPL-D" is on. I want to have it where if the lights are on at 35% and if "Main" is pressed, the kitchen overhead lights turn on full blast. If the "MAIN" button is pressed again, the lights will return to 35%. Instead what's happening is if the lights are dim to 35% and "main" is pressed, the lights shut off, and then turn on full blast. Hey all, I have a lake house that has an insteon thermostat. I'd like to have a program that I can run manually by using my phone and MobiLinc to slowly raise the temperature in the winter. I set it back when we are gone and I will have internet access this winter so I thought it would be nice to let the temp come up while driving down. I want to do it slowly because it is a heat pump and if I just raise the temp to what I want, the electric backup could come on to get it there quicker. Unless the temp outside is pretty cold, I would rather just the heat pump do the work. Can anybody help me come up with a program? I really have no idea where to start on this on…

after I upgraded to pro, my isy can no longer work with my morninglinc. some programs are starting to act weird also. I have a program that checks the status of lights, then turns on a scene if any of them are on. this is working about 20% of the time. any ideas?

What does it mean when the error light and memory light blink on the ISY? Seems like it blinks about every other time I have to power it up. BTW, I entered the IP and MAC address manually to set the DHCP. I have "IP-MAC Bind" checked. Thanks!
