I assume that the lights turning on and the UBI followup response are happening nearly simultaneously. -Xathros

This is entirely an UBI portal issue. It is the NLP routines in the portal taking for ever to process your voice request. This comes and goes. My normal response time when things are working is 2 seconds from request to action. When its bad, up to 30 seconds like you are seeing now. If I was home, I would try one of my commands to see the response time. I bet mine is slow today too. -Xathros

Also, if UBI is still not working on voice command, try: "OK UBI... Update" This will force UBI to update with the latest changes you have made in the portal just in case it missed something earlier. -Xathros

Good. Your on your way. Next, add a followup utterance to the UBI recipe after the url call that says "Turning on kitchen lights." This way you will know if UBI understood your request. Then another recipe to turn the lights off using: http://XXX:XXX@10.0.1.91:8181/rest/nodes/20 7D 6 1/cmd/DOF There is a helpful document called "ISY-WS-SDK-Manual" that will help you with all of this /rest stuff at: http://www.universal-devices.com/developers/wsdk/4.2.18/ISY-WSDK-4.2.18.zip Hope this helps. -Xathros

    Drop leading 0's in the addresses: http://XXX:XXX@10.0.1.91:8181/rest/nodes/20 7D 6 1/cmd/DON -Xathros

OK. Copy the URL as used in the UBI and paste it into a browser. Does it work there? Paste your url here (with your user/pass obscured) -Xathros

    1) Make sure that the request is coming from the UBI locally and not via the portal. 2) I find it helpful to follow the /REST call with an UBI Utterance "Turning On the kitchen lights." This way, I know that UBI understood my request. -Xathros
  8. Because you restarted your MAC. Happens to me too. The Console preferences are stored in a temporary location that gets lost with a restart. As long as you only sleep/resume it will keep the stored addresses and other preferences like color scheme and window positions etc. -Xathros
  9. Hi Bert- The Trends chart allows you to graph device activities over time. This allows you to visualize on/off cycles of the selected device over a time frame. The Floor plan used to allow you to place your devices on a map of your house. This is obsolete and unsupported now. Generate Topology generates a report of all of your devices and scenes. A very useful piece of documentation on your installation. I run these after every few changes to the system and keep a PDF copy on my laptop for reference. Hope this helps. -Xathros
  10. I tend to see Smarthome and Smartlabs as one in the same but I believe you are correct about Smartlabs being Insteon only. My gut tells me they are two divisions of a single entity. -Xathros
  11. I would rather see UDI buy Insteon. Smarthome can run themselves into the ground selling random junk for more than its worth and let UDI take Insteon into the future. -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. NOOOOOO!!! UDI should keep the ISY and continue development. There is nobody better for that task. -Xathros
  13. Carl- You can purchase the ZWave hardware from UDI and the ZWave firmware module via the menus in the ISY-994. This is a public beta - all are welcome. In all likelihood, unless you have multi channel zwave devices, your existing devices will be usable now with the ISY-994 with ZWave module. With multichannel devices, you can likely add the first or primary node now but the remaining channels will be inaccessible until UDI adds multi channel support next year. The ZWave hardware is a daughter board that gets installed inside the ISY-994. I believe the cost for that is $99. It can be purchased from the UDI website along with an external antenna if so desired. The Firmware module is $1. Hope this helps. -Xathros
  14. If in plain text, then a simply use a return in the text of the body. If HTML formatted, then use <br> -Xathros

This is likely because they have not yet reported status since the ISY restarted after the upgrade. The status will remain blank until the sensor reports. For it to report, the light level needs to change and remain above/below the threshold for 3.5 minutes. -Xathros
  16. This sounds like the OL is being spiked by the fan motor when the OL turns off. This is a fairly common problem with inductive loads. Sounds like you may need a snubber across the load to soften the spike. As Teken suggested above, unplugging the fan from the OL and testing should prove this theory. -Xathros
  17. Right click on the program in the program tree, select "Copy to Clipboard" and then paste it into a reply here so that we may see what the program is trying to do. It would also be helpful to know what the lights and motion sensor device addresses are to help make sense of your event log. -Xathros
  18. The fact that it WAS functional for some time says to me that something has changed. More than likely there is something either injecting noise onto your powerline or attenuating the insteon signal and interfering with comms to the OL. Look for things like surge protectors, UPSs, electronics like computers, chargers, AV Systems that may have been moved or added. Such things can be placed behind a Filterlinc to isolate them from the powerline and improve communications. For testing purposes, simply unplugging such things should show a difference if they are affecting your comms. -Xathros
  19. Yes. Commands from Mobilinc show as Web in the log. -Xathros

The Network module is needed to control other networked devices from the ISY. Control of the ISY from the network requires no additional modules. AddOn modules can be purchased from the menu inside the ISY Admin console. The Network module I believe is $50 Hope this helps. -Xathros
  21. From your original post: 2 Door Garage Door Open On 100 Tue 2014/10/28 02:09:18 AM Web Log The Web at the end indicates to me that this command was issued based on a network request and not as a result of a program or other insteon traffic on the wire. Food for thought... -Xathros

  23. Check the wiring between the IOLink and the Opener as well as between the manual button and the opener. I had one door that was acting up on humid days. Turned out a staple had worked it way through the insulation and was shorting the wires simulating a button press under the right conditions. -Xathros
  24. Unless the tablet runs Java, the only way is via RDC/VNC to a PC running java. I do this with my iPad or iPhone back to my Mac when working on things around the house. Easier than carrying the laptop everywhere. -Xathros
  25. And yet another trick is to pick an already installed device like a switchlink, display the device links table and make note of the ID's in the list then manually link the device with an unknown ID to the switchlink and display the switchlinc's links table again, the new extra link record will contain the unknown ID. Once recorded, simply 'Restore Device' on the switchlinc to remove the extra unwanted link. -Xathros
