All better. Solution was to un-check "Automatically Open Downloads" in Safari to get the jnlp file downloaded, then add the ISY's IP address to the exclusion list in the Java security tab. -Xathros

Yes. All of your stuff is still in the ISY. You haven't lost anything. We just need to get you back into the admin. -Xathros
  3. Xathros replied to smokegrub's topic in ISY994
Yes. The app was cleared from the cache. What happens if you go to: http://your.isy.ip.address/admin/admin.jnlp ? -Xathros

That may fix the problem *if* your running less than 4.1.2 firmware on the ISY. Otherwise that should make no difference. Did you look at that other thread about Safari? Do you get any error messages when you attempt to open the console? -Xathros

smokegrub- Others here have had the same issue (both with backup and console access) and reported that Firefox works where Safari doesn't. The link to another thread that I posted above may resolve your Safari issue - I haven't tested it myself since Firefox is my primary browser and it works for me. Chrome also has proven to work for me. Try the fix from the other thread first with your Safari and see if that gets you going. If not, try either Firefox or Chrome. Hope this helps and keep us posted. -Xathros
  6. There are no "Insteon" cameras in that none of them speak Insteon. You can however have your ISY control some aspects of many cams via the network module. I do this with my Foscam PTZ IP Cams to control where the cam is pointing based on other Insteon events. It's possible that some cams may be able to initiate events in the ISY using the rest interface but I have not seen any that are capable yet. There are some cameras that have dry contact IO that can be triggered by motion, those could be interfaced to Insteon through an IOLinc or similar Insteon IO module. -Xathros

I really think it might be worth giving Firefox or Chrome a try. You can always delete the app later if you don/t want to keep it. -Xathros EDIT: Also have a look at this thread. It may get you going again with Safari. http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12505&start=30

Can you try with Firefox or Chrome? I'm using Firefox 28 on Mavericks 10.9.2 and backups are working for me. -Xathros
  9. Anytime. Happy to help. Sorry about the omission on my first response. -Xathros
  10. Hehe - Yep. Sorry - Missed a step: If Status Dimmer is Off And Control Dimmer is not Switched Off Then Set Dimmer On Else
  11. Wireless should not be a problem from a communications standpoint as long as your chosen location is withing usable range of your WiFi. Battery powered may be a bit of an issue however. Newer cameras are fairly low power but short of having a car battery for the source, I think the draw would still be too high for smaller batteries to perform for more than a few hours. -Xathros
  12. Hi rrathke- Try something like this: If Status Dimmer is Off Then Set Dimmer On Else Hope this helps. -Xathros
  13. Then Repeat 3 times Notify Wait 1 Hour -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. No problem. Happy to help. -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Not sure about the LED. My 994 is a ZWave model not Zigbee. How many rows of pins were on the connector for the daughter board 1 or 2? If only 1 then the board needs to be installed into the bottom row of the 2 row socket in the ISY. If the daughter board has 2 rows of pins then it is installed so that both rows of pins are into both rows of the socket. It is possible that you need a Zigbee module installed into the ISY firmware similar to the Pro, Zwave, Weather etc modules. If that is the case, you will need to email support@universal-devices.com with the UUID of your ISY, a link to this thread and request that they enable the module for your ISY. -Xathros
  16. Did you clear the java cache after installing the ZS firmware? -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Not a genius, just an old timer... But thanks. Glad that got it working for you -Xathros
  18. I have a few of these that have been problematic especially when there have been power outages. Usually, pulling the air gap switch for 10 seconds then returning to the normal position gets them working again. When pushing the air gap switch back in, be careful not to push it past flush as that may cause a factory reset. -Xathros
  19. In my 5 years with the ISY, I have not had any major issues with beta firmwares and I have run almost every one of them since the 2.x days. That said, part of the upgrade process is making a backup of the ISY before the upgrade is installed. In the event you find an issue that you can't live with in the newer firmware, you simply downgrade the firmware to your previous version and restore your backup. -Xathros
  20. Can be multiple controllers in a scene. A controller is also a responder. -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That is the node number. Many devices such as a dimmer or on/off switch only have one node. Others like Keypads and Motion Sensors have multiple nodes (Motion, Dusk/Dawn, Low Batt for MS or Keys 1-8 for a keypad). That last digit identifies the node within the device. -Xathros
  22. The idea is to catch the random event in the log and hopefully see the cause. -Xathros
  23. Hi ferdies- Can you run your event viewer at level 3 and attempt to catch one of these events. Post the relevant sections of the event trace after an event occurs. -Xathros
  24. I'm thinking the digital IO on a CAI Webcontrol board or Raspberry Pi might be more cost effective and easier to implement here. Do you really need relay contacts to drive the TTL decoders? Use the ISY network module to talk to the controller. -Xathros
  25. Venstar with Insteon integrated/external Insteon adapter or a ZWave TStat. The latter requires the ISY ZWave dongle and module. I would avoid the Smartlabs native Insteon TStat for the time being as it appears to have some issues that have proven to be a challenge for many here. -Xathros
