Good plan. Would love to hear how the motion analysis turns out. Not a big fan of the insteon and zwave motions I have now. I wish they offered a motion with humidity sensor too. I have these zWave in bathrooms now. So far yolink has been rock solid on the temp sensors in fridge and freezer and water leak detection. Integration with eISY has been perfect too. I will really look at going Yolink before zwave devices going forward. Only drawback is Yolink does not have a local hub yet. Everything goes to cloud. Has not been a problem yet but connection with Eisy would stop working if internet was down. Not an issue with me as I run a dual wan at the house since I need always on internet as I work from home. Their new hub is supposed to offer it but still not released.

Nice. I still have a zwave outlet strip from Zooz for a few years that works really good. May look at yolink if it goes poof. Be interested in how the motions do. They make an outside version that I will need to try. Right now I have motion floodlights on zwave switches. I find motion floodlights to have alot of false alarms no matter how much I adjust the sensitivity. I wonder if Yolink will be more concise. It would also enable me to point the motion more strategically vs just where the floodlight is. Also want to try inside motions too as my zwave battery motions are just ok.

I would think that it would change the resistance of the cable skewing results. Does it offer a temp offset in the sensor where you can calibrate it so it would be accurate with the longer cable? I had to offset the temp of a Yolink temp sensor in my fridge as it was off a little. Was able to do it in Yolink app.

So far so good. just wanted to give the forum my perspective. Isy user since 2016 with over 70 insteon, zwave and matter (Smartthings) devices controlling/ detecting leaks, hot water recirc, lights, motion, Temp, humidity, fans, humidifiers, mailbox, shades, LEDs, alarms and AV. You can say I am hooked... Now adding Yolink. Bought the speaker hub, 3 leak detectors, two temp Humidity sensors for the fridge and freezer, two outdoor contact switches(1 for Luba robot mower to ensure still in dock at night and 1 for my hot tub cover to ensure its closed when Im not home. Got them all on Amazon for less than Yolink site and 1 day delivery. Bought the PG3 Yolink node. Install was very cut and dry on Eisy with PG3. Works great. Have been running insteon leak detectors for years but get bad intermittent reception on a couple of them. Full strength signal with Yolink. Nice that they have a siren on the actual device as it makes it easy to determine where the link is quickly. I still have quite a few Insteon leaks but will only replace if they go bad. Nice to have full strength signal in the fridge and freezer too. Alerts setup in case fridge breaks or other outage. Will continue to monitor but I have high hopes for Yolink due to increased signal strength and distance. Not to mention uses regular AA batteries with some devices getting 2 to 3 year battery intervals. I will definitely look to see Yolink options going forward vs zwave for any new devices.

I've been using this for over 4 years. Heavy duty. Had a Dome but it wasnt strong enough to turn valve over time and stopped working. Recommend a mount on type over a built into the valve model. Much easier to replace if there is an issue. Bulldog Valve Robot (econetshop.com)

@Michel Kohanim Actually I am. Are they not required anymore? Had this setup from a few years ago. Do I just delete the port forwards now on the router? Do I need any port forwards for eisy to work? I use UD mobile.

@Michel Kohanim Ticket number is 21458. I did a test. I cleared error log at 121PM. Top part is while I am still logged into Admin. I only have level: 1. Status/Operational events in event log selected. I then log out of admin console at 137PM I get the IoX service errors while logged into admin at 121PM and then when I log back in at 252PM. I didnt get them when I was not logged into Admin. What can cause this? In between those times, I got random Authorization errors. How do I tell what device is throwing the Auth errors to fix this? Dont know how I pulled this off. Somehow there is a top level folder shown below, that I dont want to be there. How can I remove it?

Is there any way to have Eisy control Roller Shades I have setup on a Smartthings Station hub?

Thanks @tazman@Geddy This looks like it will do what I need. I just need the Matter and Thread based router functionality. Narrowed down to Smartthings station and Echo 4th gen. I dont see an easy way to connect smartthings station to Eisy, unless you know of one. If not Ill just go with the echo. Then when Eisy is working with Matter Thread, I'll move the shades over to the Eisy.

@tazman So you are saying there are two options I could use to control Alexa connected devices with the Eisy? The first requires a virtual nod server? Which PG3 node server is that? On the second option, I create an Alexa routine to control the Alexa connected shade, then I can use Eisy program to open and close shade connected to Alexa? Bit of a noob on Alexa so just verifying. Since eisy is not ready yet for matter, I want to install two Matter thread shades to an Amazon Echo 4th gen. It has Matter and Thread capability and acts as a thread border router. I know you can use Alexa with eisy to turn on lights for devices connected to EISY, but can I write a program in Eisy to control shades installed into Alexa? If not, the only hubs with Thread border routers are Apple Home (Home Pod), Smartthings station or the Aeotec smartthing hub, and the Google Home Nest hubs. Would any of these hubs allow me to have my Eisy control the shades connected to those hubs. If the answer is no, I may just need to go with a Smartthings station and not have it integrated with Eisy. Then when Eisy gets Matter working switch the shades back.

Hopefully I dont jinx myself, but when I run these upgrade packages once a week I do the following and it has worked like a charm. Turn on log screen so I can see what happens: Open Windows CMD prompt 1) ssh admin@YourIPHere 2) pw. Admin if you never changed it. 3) sudo tail -f /var/udx/logs/log In Admin console, run Upgrade Packages. Watch the activity in the log. At the end, in the log, it will say reboot. I dont reboot when Admin screen says reboot as there is still activity in the log. Go into Java console and Delete all temporary internet files. Download the lastest IoX Start Java download. Open Admin console. open Log again, step 1 above. Run the Upgrade packages. Sometimes additional items get installed that were not upgraded the first time. Reboot when Log says to reboot At this point, on the eisy box, i hit the power button 5 times. This shutsdown the eisy box. When power button is red, I pull the power plug out for 30 sec then plug back in. Once powered back up, I go into Pg3 console and reinstall all node servers. Its worked every time for me. No issues on this Upgrade.

I have 10 smartwings Zwave plus shades I bought off Amazon Super inexpensive and work great. They sound like they function same as yours. 0=fully closed to lower stop limit 100 = fully open to upper stop limit In between is varying stated of openess.

Just upgraded eisy and pg3. No issues.

Agree with @Techman. Although it would be better to start clean and install all nodes fresh. If you have alot of nodes this is very time consuming. If you just have a few, then I would just start fresh. If you migrate, just fix the ones that didnt migrate properly, most likely wireless devices.

I assume you need a weatherproof motion detector, unless you have racoons running around the inside of your house 😉. Or you have maybe an eave where weather cant get to it. I dont think the Aeotec is an outdoor rated sensor but I may be wrong. I have motions inside the house. I have motions in my outdoor floodlights. But no standalone motions on the exterior. There isnt alot out there classified as a zwave outdoor motion. If I were to consider buying one though I would look at the Zooz Outdoor motion sensor. There may be some options on the Zigbee side to look at but you would need to ensure supported by eisy. I know Hue has one as well.

@MMAltairI have an elk alarm and used with ISY. At high level here is what I did going to eisy As stated above, copy your programs. I copy to Word doc. Migrate to eisy Install ELK node in PG3. it will show as two nodes in eisy. Each node has elements that you now use to update your programs. Update your programs with elk attributes to point to new PG# elk nodes.
