Motions can write then active to update (include battey powered devices to automatic writes)... Leak/door sensors you'll need to put into linking mode. If comms aren't good enough they'll fail to write. Jon...

Well good to hear you're up and running again.. I wouldn't think this to take over a half hour or so... Jon...

My understanding is ISY doesn't have any direct integration with Nest due to Google's requirements for use of API. A possible way to accomplish this is to sense when the fan is running using a device as the In-LineLinc Relay. Jon...

Is your 2476D added to the scene as a controller? Jon...

LeeG was the one who turned you onto that but what I'm curious about is why pulling the air gap on the device sent ISY into such a tizzy. Jon...

My take on it is those settings are for ISY control and not device control. Edit: oops.. just tried a switch and adjusting UI settings applies locally. Jon...

With Insteon it's hard to gauge RF reliability seeing it's dual band but I have On/Off modules installed behind UPS that are hence RF only and require remotes to be 10 feet for operation; so it seems Z-Wave is a little more robust vs Insteon in that regards. Also, I'm interested in the Z-Wave Siren in that it has 5 tones but 106dB seems a bit loud Jon...

To adjust the levels you need to have the device in a scene which can be created with only the one device but needs to be added as a controller. Then write a program to adjust the levels as described in post #2. Jon...

They claim Z-Wave has a range of 25-30 meters indoors but I've heard of locks installed that require repeaters for reliability. Thanks, Jon...

From the wiki... Reset Userid/Password to admin/admin Use a sharp object to push in the Reset Button till the RX, TX, Mem, Error lights start blinking (every second) Hold for 5 seconds till the RX, TX, Mem, Error lights turn on/off consecutively (RX -> Tx -> Mem -> Error) Release You can also use Telnet to reset password... Z-Wave has a number of unique devices I'm interested in and I'm curious as to how many devices are need to adequately mesh the network? I have a two story home and the garage is about 25 feet from the ISY (downstairs.) Jon...

Does it show you as online in the UI (Config > Portal?) Jon...

Until the portal gets straightened out for this you could use the portal for one and ddns on the other? scratch that... I had thought you could set up profiles in mobilinc but apparently not. Edit: apparently so Jon...

The options on that page are for 1. Reboot 2. Reset Userid/Password to admin/admin 3. Factory Reset Of course factory reset requires a fresh backup Jon...

I replaced my PLM a little over a year ago and don't remember a wait? Jon...

To summarize then... If UDI had the Honeywell API there is the possibility of localized control using ISY (goes for any networked device having the API thus avoiding the cloud?) Jon...
-
Understanding this is a little above my grade but I had thought Polyglot allowed communication directly with networked devices? Jon...

I do know UDI has had difficulty obtaining developer API's from a number of manufacturers... Honeywell is probably one of them. Jon...

Vroom much appreciated. Jon...

I typically see 1-3 second wait after I finish command to activation... which seems pretty good to me Edit: however, I've narrowed down my enrollment to 31 devices (scenes, programs, devices.) Jon...
