  1. They do, but is only bundled with InlineLincs and the switch is an Icon with only one LED. 2-Wire-INSTEON-Dimmer-Kit
  2. Hello jimomo, We are still testing new firmware before we make it official so Autoupdate will not display it. Please see this post for the Beta firmware: Firmware 2.7.13 BETA is Now Available. We hope you will enjoy the new features. Rand
  3. Hi kingwr, That would be a great use for a folder.
  4. Yes, just cap the red wire. Sounds like the perfect use for a keypad.
  5. Hi Justin, things are well here, thank you. Removing a device from the ISY should remove all the links. To save some of the re-scening you could try using Replace. Remove #1 KPL and add it back. Replace #2 with #1 which will Remove #2. Add #2 back and Replace #1 with #2 so the links are back in #2. Replace #3 with #1, etc. Then you will have to re-link #1 at the end. Of course they will have to have the same number of buttons to do this. Rand

  7. hello johnmsch, There seems to be more than one version of Kaspersky. Would you be kind enough to peruse these threads and see if any of the information applies? Kaspersky 2010 Exclusions Kaspersky 2009 Internet Security Kaspersky Thank you, Rand
  8. We hope the owner's manual is only a beginning and users will refer to the Wiki for the most up-to-date information and more information. You could include in your sunrise program a Run Else to turn the program False if you do not want to check the conditions using a Run (If) True enough. You may need to create Programs to specifically be Flag programs. Programs can be Run(If), True/False depending on the Conditions; Run(Then) for always True; and Run (Else), always False. So you can steer programs to use the conditions or to be true or false. Rand
  9. Hello kingwr, Thank you very much for your suggestions. If you are willing to use From to Times Folders are an excellent way of implementing these conditions. Every program is triggered on the change of any of it's conditions unless it is in a disabled folder. Program contained in the folder will only be enabled during the specified conditions and so several programs of the same conditions can be written to only be enabled when specific conditions are true, such as a schedule, KPL button B is On, etc. I think this may emulate the nesting you are describing. Everything in the ISY conditions are Boolean. Conditions can be Anded / Ored and nested using folders and parenthesis. I hope this helps. Rand
  10. That was my mistake. If a program has only one condition it will remain True or False until that condition changes. In this case: If Time is 11:45:00PM And Status 'AMP' is On When the status of 'AMP' changes the program is reevaluated. It will not be True if the time is not exactly 11:45:00PM. If an Or was used it would be true whenever the 'AMP' is changed to on Or when the time is 11:45:00PM. It will use the status as listed on the Program Summary page.

It should be fine to leave switches that are not failing. Yes, a problem switch can interfere with other switches. Pulling the set button will eliminate it from the circuit. Rand
  12. Can you test from another location? If that fails you may want to call AT&T for a signal check. DSL should not need a change in the timeout.
  13. Hello Chris, Unfortunately the OutletLinc does not send a message when controlled locally. Your only options are to poll the device every so often or use a different controller such as a RemoteLinc, ControLinc, a keypad button, etc. Rand
  14. Hello Justin, If you change the local level/rate can you say this is what the light comes on to when controlled by a button on the same device? Rand
  15. Who is your Internet Service Provider? What is the brand/model# of your modem and router?
  16. I think Michel said you should use CWT from the shell to increase the timeout. ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Advanced_Configuration_Guide

Holy Cow! Yes, those are very much the symptoms of v35 failures. Scenes are not always responded to no matter the sender; ISY or another switch, button, etc. Because you can point to particular devices I would suggest that you call Smarthome and ask for replacements, no matter what the firmware version is. As for the recent increase in noise, I have seen devices that worked perfectly for 6 months or more and then suddenly exhibited such behavior. They can be really hard to find, pulling set buttons is the best way I have found. Smarthome has been good about replacing these devices so you should phone them. Rand
  18. Hello John, If by ethical you mean secure then, yes, the ISY uses SSL to encrypt messages. Insteon, compared to X10, is a million times better at having a unique address for each device so it becomes unlikely that your neighbor can control your devices. Oh, not a million. There are 1677216 address available for Insteon and 256 for X10. Divided out it comes to 65536/1. Seems like a million. The ISY serves web pages to interface with it from any browser. You have to make a port available to the internet on your router. Then steer that port to the ISY. There are several independent applications that interface with the ISY optimized for specific devices. Most Insteon devices do not report a load failure. The ISY can send emails and texts dependent on other conditions. There is a module for the ISY that reads the Brultech Energy Monitors. Rand

There are a few reports of some relays and some keypads being 'flakey'. The firmware versions are different. And there always is the chance that any device can fail in a manner which exhibits the same symptoms. By "flakey' I mean it seems that don't always responding to scene commands correctly. I am interested in JP's response, we can learn more. Rand

Hello JP, It is v35 SwitchLinc Dimmers. And only some of them. Are you experiencing problems? Rand
  21. Hi Paul, Have you physically removed devices that were linked to the keypads? It may be the ISY is searching for them. If so it is probably best to reset the KPLs and add them back. Recreating the links you had should be easy with the ISY. Rand
  22. Can you use http://isy from the PCs?
  23. If you click on the beginning of the name (to the left) does the context menu open? Rand LOL - That's what I am doing now but I have over 100+ devices so there is always a bottom regardless of even the highest screen resolution of 2500x1600. Even the last device in the last scene is at the bottom. I think its a small BUG that needs to be noted and fixed in an upcoming release.
  24. That address is not an issue. It is a local address assigned by your router to devices connected to your router. Only someone connected to your local area network (LAN) can access the ISY using that address. When you use the desktop to access the ISY Administrative Console use the menu Help | About and view My URL. That is the address the laptop should use to connect to the ISY. It should be 192.168.x.x. Rand
  25. Hi Clarence, Is the SwitchLinc v.35?
