  1. Hi Rich, MutEx buttons are used when you desire only one of a group to be illuminated at any time. For example you may have four levels for the same set of devices (scene) and select one at a time. Non-toggle will always send an On or Off, they will not toggle between On/Off. Rand
  2. Hello MSM, I am sorry for your trouble. Are you using the blue ethernet cable between the PLM and ISY? The black cable included with the PLM will not work correctly. Rand
  3. Hi Rich, I don't know HomeSeer but I will tell you what I know. The PLC/PLM can control Insteon devices directly as long as it knows their address. The only need for links is for scenes. You could factory reset the PLC and it should still be able to directly control the Insteon devices that HS knows the addresses of. Rand
  4. Hello Mike, Thank you for the extensive testing. You know all readers appreciate it. I have two motion sensors since mid-Jan (6 months). I am pretty sure the high-use one is experiencing battery fatigue. I still haven't seen a Low-Battery message but reporting motion is becoming sporadic. I'll dig out the VOM and see what the voltage reads. Rand
  5. Sorry Dave, I didn't mean to mess you up. I was just wondering as some users have trouble configuring a static address Can you please phone us? 818.631.0333 Thank you, Rand
  6. Hi Dave, If you set a static IP in your ISY using Telnet you have to be sure the other settings are correct. Assign_a_Static_IP_Address Rand
  7. The easiest way would be to Restore the ISY from a backup. There are some bugs in the Floorplan and we are researching a replacement/update. I hope that doesn't inconvenience you terribly. Rand
  8. If you have set a static IP in the ISY you need to be sure the other parameters are correct. Assign_a_Static_IP_Address Rand
  9. Hello pdxcav, Remotely_Connect_to_Your_ISY If your ISY or your router have rebooted and you have not set a static address for the ISY then your router will not always know which device to forward the port to. With some routers you can specify a port to be assigned according to the MAC address of the device and not be concerned with a static IP. http://www.portforward.com/ has some of the best info available. Select your router and then the program HTTPS. If you can do this do not select Enable Internet Access. Otherwise you will have to set a static address for the ISY. See here: Assigning_ISY_a_Static_IP_Address. Rand

    Folder

Hi TJF, I would suggest using the Status in the folder Conditioons to activate/deactivate and the Control checks to trigger the programs. Folders can also be nested so a Status check could be inside a Scheduled folder, etc. Rand

    99i difference

No, it shouldn't be a conflict to run two programs, but I think I have a better idea. Trigger All Off If ( Status 'GAR KPL H' is Off Or Status 'MBR KPL H' is Off Or Status 'Occupied On/OFF APL' is Off ) Then Run Program 'All Off' (Then Path) Else Stop program 'All Off' All Off If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Repeat Every 1 hour Set Scene 'All OFF' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Rand

Hi Tim, good to see you again. A KPL button has to be in a scene in order to control it. There should not be a problem selecting it as a controller. Control: requires physical activation of a device and is momentary. Status: persists and can be changed in a variety of ways. I think that all you need to do is to add the KPL 'C' button to your all off scene as a Controller. Rand
  13. Ken, please plug an Access Point directly into the PLM and check again for signals from the RemoteLinc. Rand
  14. Hi James, You may find it easier to put your program in a folder with schedule conditions rather than including them in the program. Rand
  15. Hi Wayne, Sounds like your PLM has gone south. #1 Try a different Cat5 cable between the PLM and ISY #2 Factory reset the PLM #3 Ask SH for a replacement Rand
  16. Hi Joe, KPL buttons are controller/responders as are switches so links must be created for each of those. 3-4 minutes is about right for 6 devices. Opening the Event Viewer will allow you to monitor the power line traffic in real time. Rand
  17. Hello Frank, nice to see you again! I hope you are doing well. It is great that you have forgotten about your ISY, that is our goal I think you will be surprised by the features added in the ISY-99i compared to the ISY-26. Michel made one mistake in his response: To count the PLM links you need to use Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table, which can take some time, and then click on Count. See this Wiki page: Show_Links_Table_Database I hope you have changed your SignaLincs for AccessPoints, the SLs do not function with some of the new devices and not at all with the wireless. Rand
  18. Hello Joe, Yes, when adding a KPL button to the scene the RemoteLincs need to know or the button will not change state when the RLs are used to control the scene. However, it should not take forever to add another controller with only 6 responders. Are you having other communication issues? Rand
  19. Hello David, Thank you for the report. I will do more testing on this today. Your KPL should be new enough. Rand
  20. Hello David, Can you please see: Clearing_Your_Java_Cache Otherwise you have an older KPL or there could be a bug in the beta firmware. Rand
  21. That should certainly work. Would you please contact us at UDI Support? Thank you, Rand
  22. Hello Illusion, Since you want the button to turn Off when your scene is turned On the only way is to use a program. Buttons (and switches) can only be a controller of a single scene but can be responders to hundreds of scenes. Rand
  23. pdxcav, older KPLs do not allow you to set the level using a secondary button, they only use the local level/rate. How old is your KPL? Rand
  24. Hi Tim, Thanks for the Zip Code. I checked out several more stations in your area. 4, 5, and 6 have very frequent updates compared to the three closest ones. I don't know how critical these updates are to your programs. You will have to decide if these stations are close enough to be relative if you need more frequent updates. The WB module does have a money-back guarantee if your needs are not satisfied. The Log file is not appended when the WB data is updated but the Event Viewer displays the changes and can be saved. Rand
  25. Hi Tim, I would suggest you try another WB site, it sounds like you aren't getting all the info. E-Mail or PM me your zip code & site name and I'll have a look. Rand
