  1. I made sure the caches were clear. I cleared them and rebooted the computer. I have reverted back to 2.7.15 for now. I will gladly upgrade and allow remote access in if you would like to see what might be wrong. I have about 100+ Insteon devices; maybe that is a factor. Anyway; it is bedtime for me. until tomorrow.
  2. A downgrade to 2.8.1 has not solved any issues for me. I am now moving to downgrade to the original code 2.7.15.
  3. I tried to disable all of my programs. The act of disable is either delayed or not working. The event viewer does not come up when requested; it may also be delayed; I will check in a few minutes.
  4. Will do. Just in case it matters the PLM Info/Status is F.9C.23 v92 / Connected. It took a long time for the ISY to spit that out.
  5. I know that I can always revert back to the older version but i do not mind assisting the development.
  6. When I try to switch a light on and off there seems to be about a 30 second delay. It still does not report the status. I ran the last version that you gave me; no changes. If i was a betting man I believe there is some issue communicating with the PLM. Maybe a serial communications issue?
  7. Now I can access the ISY but is does not have any status of my lighting. It does not know if a light is on or off. It also takes a minute to send a command. I decided to restore the ISY with my saved configuration. It does not seem to help. Any ideas?
  8. I just upgraded from 2.7.15 to 2.8.3. I cleared the java cache and then attempted to log in using safari on my Mac. I go the error "XML Parse Error http://10.0.1.2/desc". I will attempt to exit and log back in now.
  9. I was trying to set up a Controlinc in my ISY-99i and suddenly when I logged in to it, it does not display any of my lighting and looks to be continuously busy. I have about 100 devices attached to the ISY. Does anyone have any ideas how I can log in and access my lighting?
  10. That is exactly what I have. I will remove the query program. Thank You
  11. I have a two ISY-99i's on one of them I run a program to query the thermostat on the other I do not. They both seem to get their information as it changes. Do I still need to run the query program for the Venstar thermostat?
  12. Both CFLs and especially LED lights last much longer then incandescent bulbs; so you do not need a ramp rate to preserve the bulbs. LCD bulbs should last 10 to 20 years and maybe even longer; no one really knows. LED lights also gives you their full brightness instantly. They also use about 10% of the power of an incandescent bulb and much less if you are using air conditioning. The heat of an incandescent bulb makes the air conditioner work harder. The problem is a 60 Watt equivalent LED bulb will cost you $20. Most of the bulbs sold in the stores today are only 20 Watt equivalents or even less. That is why CFLs are quite popular in the areas where incandescent bulbs are being banned (Canada/California). CFLs will save you money but LED are much better. Unfortunately; LED bulbs will take several years to pay for themselves. My conclusion; I will buy the relay switches unless I really need to dim something because we must all face the future which will be an incandescent free environment.
  13. I tried following the instructions but i have not succeeded. I have set up an SSL port 443 forwarded to the ISY-99i. I can get there with a web browser but the browser warns be about security. When I try to enable the Internet it fails, from the file menu. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
  14. I personally use the Switchlinc Relay unless I really need to dim something. They work great and they are quiet. They seem to work with every type of bulb. In my X10 days I used to use the X10 Pro 20 AMP relay switches. They worked good but did not work with LED bulbs or low wattage CFLs. Another benefit to using Switchlinc Relays is that they are cooler. I do not worry about heat inside the boxes. Most people do not dim lights and do not care too.
