  1. If you setup a local connection in UD Mobile or use the admin console (also local connection) it works fine. All programs also run. Alexa would be down for the ISY skill so it would require a switch or old fashion virtual switch.
  2. You made me think back to Y2k. I am in IT and the WEEKS, MONTHS we spent making everything y2k ready seems now like a waste of time.
  3. I sent them the same message. It always seems like these things pick the worst time to go down. It should be up now though!!! Happy New Year Everyone!!!
  4. I have confirmation it is being worked on. They will update later and apologize for the inconvenience.
  5. I have emailed them.
  6. went down for me almost exactly at midnight EST.
  7. Thats actually a new feature which I hate also. Those of us who have used mac for a while remember where you could allow all apps to open and then as you stated it was with open with. Now you have to go to privacy. Such a pain. I thought you were trying to get it into LOCAL NETWORK also under privacy. My fix will fix that but you figured out how to allow it. I never saw that with start, probably because I had it allowed for a while.
  8. Thats the bug in 15.1.1 and 15.2 (coming very soon). The work around I sent should work, You will see the _JAVAWS in the local network if fixed. Realized I forgot screenshot in previous post. Here it is
  9. I encourage you to report this to feedback.apple.com. They are telling me this is not an urgent bug but it is. When you cant use a device on your network thats URGENT to me. When you get START to run you will see the JAWS in the list, See my screenshot. Thats just some of mine. Another thing that makes me mad is when you go from 15.1.1 to 15.2 (in release candidate now so probably next week) it will delete most of the items and you have to re-add them. The same procedure worked for me. Oh...one more thing. After installing 15.2 when it comes out you can add all you want to add before the first reboot after update. (it reboots for update and that does not count). Once you reboot manually the issue comes back.
  10. I wrote up about this on the wiki, but 15.1.1 (And the 15.2 betas have a bug) Just last night, I reported this to Apple, and we have a workaround that worked for me. It's ANY program that uses a device on a local network, even a scanner or pg3x. I know you probably are aware of a lot of the instructions below. I am going to give you step-by-step instructions so others can do this also. 1. Go to system settings under Apple menu 2. go to Privacy and Security 3. Go to LOCAL NETWORK (only in Sequoia) now, here is where the workaround starts 4. if you have something in there, turn it off. If you don't we may have to find a different solution 5. Reboot the computer 6. Turn what you turned off in privacy back on 7. Run all the programs that might use the Internet, like start.jnlp, your scanner, all your browsers going to IP, any LAN scanners, FTP programs, and don't forget the IOX launcher. They should ask you to ALLOW the connection. Make sure you click Allow on each one. 8. Check the Privacy and Security of the local network. They should add it there. The bug is that when you reboot, the file gets locked, but the procedure above unlocks it. Unfortunately, there is no way to manually edit or delete the preferences, so until Apple fixaes the bug, every reboot will lock it. I have sent an email to UD saying if you put in a ticket, I can work with you directly since I also had this issue and got the workaround to work.
  11. First I would try to re-authorize. Go to pg3x interface and the ring nodeserver install. Then go to configure and authenticate. Then restart. If it does not work, try a delete and re-install of the nodeserver. As long as its in the same slot, it should not hurt programs. Mine works fine and I confirmed there are no changes in the new version other than some back end things.
  12. What does version 1.2 do? the last version mentioned in read me is 1.1.7. Its installed and working. Just want to know what it changed/fixed?
  13. any chance to support Nest Smoke Alarms?
  14. yes seems to be fixed. thanks
  15. Set to auto in admin console I did not restart but did update which did not hold so I set it again (expected not to hold until latest update) Then kept getting messages so I did a restart of nodeserver No message since which is good
  16. well it works but I keep getting the message that its set at 60 and as you can see in screenshot it is correct!!!!
  17. Confirmed fix and issues here. THANKS. will watch for a pg3x update
  18. Just checked. RESTART holds the setting. UPDATE loses it.
  19. I just tried agian and it still stayed on 1.2.2 (you may not have looked at that yet) BUT I left Admin Console open. On update the TRUE switches to FALSE and then the short poll goes to 60. Is it supposed to hold when doing update?
  20. 1. It was on but the short poll number changed which I assume is what it set to but I had already changed it. Fixed now and ok. 2. Let me know what you find and I will reinstall once you say to.
  21. 1. This has been an issue for a while. After any update my short poll goes back to 60. Why cant it save the 180 I sent it for due to all my devices? 2. This one is new. I can post a video or send you one PM if you cant reproduce but after I update from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 it shows 1.2.3 for about 5 seconds and then goes back to 1.2.3 The UPDATE button stays there so it thinks it needs an update but no update blue banner. I can also send a log package if you want

    Ring is down?

FYI- Ring is back online and working. If you did not touch it, it should just work. Worse case, restart the nodeserver (only the Ring nodeserver)

    Ring is down?

I sent you an email. I am in IT and had several reports today of all ring devices showing DISCONNECTED in the app. In all the years using ring (Since before Amazon bought them) I have never had a total outage. Mine was down too from about 5pm EDT until 7pm EDT but about the same time they came back the nodeserver went down so thats why I thought it was something else. So it most likely is some sort of Denial of Service attack or service crash. UPDATE they have updated their website. See the screenshot. Too bad I reinstalled. Now I have to set it all up again
