Update- You forgot one step. Go out and run errands, vote, etc. It has been well over an hour and when I left it said 40 minutes. Now at 3:30 it randomly just connected. I was not even here. More like 90 minutes. Strange but working!!!!

I did this twice. Waited 30 min the last time and no go. I will have to file a support ticket if you are sure its working.

MAC USERS- BACKUP YOUR POLISY with OS and Restore I used this on my SD for my Pi and works great. Going to try it this week on the Polisy SD. I had to order the reader for it. https://www.tweaking4all.com/software/macosx-software/applepi-baker-v2/#DownloadApplePiBaker I am running the beta which works on latest mac OS. The cool thing here is you can image your Polisy after you set up. That way you have a clean OS backup. I will report results. I know it works on Pi.

Its been well over an hour but I will try again and install the logs. I just rebooted again but that was an hour later after I did the install Upgrade Packages/install Dev Packages Ok just deleted the nodeserver.....reinstalled. Waited for it to say successfully installed and it did. Check and not connected. Keeps saying No Module Named Kasa Switched logs to DEBUG and restarted nodeserver Logs attached Kasa_11-6-2023_74242-PM.zip

This did nothing for me. I even tried another slot. I had to do a restore of PG3x after a bad SD and this is only nodeserver that did not reinstall.

You will find that Pg3x is a lot more efficient than using nodelink was. Make sure to backup with Pg3x everytime you update Pg3x.

I am on Poilisy and it stopped working a long time ago. With that said, every nodeserver I ran on there now works with Pg3x. So you should be able to just use a nodeserver and dump nodelink.

Guess they changed their auth. I can share my login in PM but the log package is attached. I did a clean install and tried. Others having same issue. I have had issue for a while and reported to Michel but realized I never reported here. My example was just an example, and I have actually multiple reasons I need this But think of an anniversary. Even if you said this is your third year you still have to say RD You wouldn’t say it is your three of your work here it just doesn’t sound right. but I appreciate the suggestion and any other suggestions people send

That’s what I did for now. The problem is I have to go all the way up to 100 so it means a lot of ifs. I was thinking if someone could help me is a program to split the number and check the right most digit so for instance, 43 would be split and a new variable would be 3 So now you could check just the new variable. But then there’s English problems. For example 13 and in a three, but it’s 13th. Not 13 RD. This isn’t easy… Lol

So I have a program that sends an email. The email contains a variable. Its all working fine. But here is the issue. The variable counts years. So for now the email says something like. Its the 3 year now. Well of course I want it to say 3rd. But then you have 1rst, 2nd, and the rest end in th. So is there an easy way to do that without a program that says if its 1, 21, 31, 41 then use ST. If 2, 22, 33, 44 then use nd. and so on. This may be easier than I think,. My mind is just all over the place thinking about this. thanks in adavnce!!!

1. Ring Nodeserver- I have reported this issue with a few nodeservers and working with them to figure it out. 2. Restart message- I get that every time I restart the polisy. I think its a Cache issue. Yesterday I went to browser and deleted all site data. Then I opened site- no message!!!. Still looking into it as I dont want to reboot over and over to test. LOL

I missed spoke- Crashed PG3x not Polisy. Everything else worked but no login to Pg3x even with waiting

I tried a test the other day and it crashed Polisy one out of 4 times. Michel said restarting it crashed UDX but restarting UDX would not work either. ISY worked fine,.Just polisy would not let me login. It would load but no login. Waited an hour and then finally restarted Polisy. After looking at crash info he said never restart but your right it "should" work. And 25% of the time it does. Its not too much more to just reboot everything so I will stick with that.

Warning though I tried this a few times. Sometimes it works and sometimes it crashes Polisy. So then you have to reboot anyways so I find it just as easy to reboot.

I use Notification nodeserver and at this point I dont think you can add custom sounds there but I asked (sorry this is off topic).

Another option is wireless tag but you MUST get the Pro model. The normal tags only work left and right and most mailboxes open and close up and down. I used that method but found the batteries due to high heat or low winter temps did not last long and the range was bad. I have had very good results with the Ring Mailbox Sensor but until now I did not use it with the ISY.

Just yesterday I said Alexa turn on kitchen lights and it was one of the 10% of the time she heard me wrong. My son then flipped the switch and said DAD you are literally 2 feet from the switch. How lazy can you be. Honestly I forgot how to use a light switch and when the power goes off or internet goes down thats why I am in a panic. LOL

Ring has a mailbox sensor. If you dont have one it also requires their smart bridge. I like it because my mailbox is at the end of a long driveway and it lets me know when mail is received. Because Amazon owns Ring it works with Amazon Alexa. Problem is its not supported by the API and in addition to that the bridge wont even respond to pings which Amazon says is for security (yet all the doorbells and Alexa devices do. LOL) But I have a hack to get it into the ISY. 1. Setup your Ring Mailbox Sensor 2. Load Nodeserver called Virtual 3. Setup Virtual device called Mailbox Status or something like that. Dont name the same as your actual Mailbox Sensor!!! 4. Expose that to Alexa as an open/close sensor in the ISY Portal 5. Discover Devices IN ALEXA 1. Write a routine that says if open set Mailbox Status (your virtual device) to On 2. Write a second routing for closed. This is a little difference. You say If NO MOTION is detected for how many minutes (I put 5 which may be too long but make sure its at least a minute to give you time to get the mail out and close it) then set the Mailbox Status (your virtual device) to Off IN ISY Now when the Ring mailbox open and closes the Virtual Device will change also allowing you to trigger things off it in ISY programs like Notiifications. Good to know. I am a mac user so maybe its a mac thing but you confirmed its a browser cache issue. Maybe I should update the post and add that in. Hopefully people will read and see this!!! But thanks for the thumbs up on my steps!!!

The only thing I left out was the browser cache issue If you get a message that pg3 not running in red after the reboot try another browser that you have not used with PG3 and if it works then you can clear your browser cache on the original and it should work. One trick that works most of the time is if you add a ? To the end of any URL it forces it to reload without cache 99% of the time Jeff

also see sunroom here. This is Ecobee 2. My others are a 3 and a 4. The two have two nodes that are empty. If I delete them they come back. That unit does not support sensors so no idea what those could be.

Trying to save on nodes since approaching the 1024 limit!!!. Any way to NOT show weather and what about sensors? Maybe some config option would be great.
