  1. Thank you for clarifying, I'll back up now
  2. So my version then is this? Which seems to say 14.1 *** OS *** FreeBSD eisy 14.1-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE-p6 #4 releng/14.1-n267727-74b6c983723c-dirty: Fri Nov 15 12:13:25 PST 2024 root@bsdev14.isy.io:/usr/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/eisy amd64 *** Package Information *** If this is correct then I can just go ahead and upgrade?
  3. I went to the page from this link ( https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt) in the announcement but I see many differing version numbers. This is at the top udx-3.9.0_9 Name : udx Version : 3.9.0_9 Installed on : Fri Apr 11 12:19:36 2025 EDT If the version is supposed to be above 13.2 I'm way behind? I read the part where my system could be bricked and want to tread lightly. This is the version number on the login window popup if that's what I'm supposed to be looking at.
  4. Worked great. Thank you for that.
  5. This makes sense why the eISY thinks it on. I should be clearer. If I turn the scene on with the iPhone it works. It doesn't work when I give Alexa the command to turn the scene on. Which is why I'm confused. (I'm confused on many levels FYI 🤣)
  6. At one point my Arctic Spa used to react to Alexa commands. I've reached out to them repeatedly and get the runaround of email this guy, email that guy. with zero response back Is this something that could be controlled by the EISY?
  7. I replaced a SWL dimmer and it works fine as far as alexa commands, timers, scenes, etc. But when I try to access it with the iPhone app I get this. Is it maybe looking of the old device? Is there a global refresh or something? Drew
  8. This happened before and I'm not sure how it happens. One light in a scene doesn't turn on but the GUI says it is. (I tried restoring device on this particular one and it didn't help) My Location changed from Toronto to NY Some timer programs arent firing every time. I believe I'm up to date. (5.9.1) I'm unclear what could be doing this. No new appliances or anything for line noise (if thats still a thing) Is there something I can do to check the whole EISY or refresh (apologizes for the lack of correct nomenclature) Drew
  9. I'll try that today and post back. Thank you
  10. Hi Paul, I just checked and yes the new device ID is in all the scenes Should I "Restore link between Bathroom Sconces and Controller" on each scene? Or is there a one and done click I should do?
  11. Actually now that I’m in the room with the new device I realize the gui is reacting properly but the device itself is t responding to the voice activated scenes but it does respond to being told to turn on. I just tried airgapping it but that did nothing.
  12. It seems they work now. I must have had internet connection issues at the time I tried it (not uncommon with rural internet) and didn’t think to blame my crap provider
  13. I didn’t check the scenes I just assumed it changed them with the replace function. It’s always worked fine. I’ll check today and post back.
  14. I had to replace a 2477D and it seemed to work fine. (Bathroom wall light) when I give Alexa the voice command turn on bathroom X% (scenes I’ve created) it doesn’t react. if I say bathroom wall it does respond. do I have to remove and replace the device in each scene or have I missed something?
  15. Everything seems to be working again. I'm unclear why it didn't and now why it does. I'm assuming bit by bit the gear of old will become obsolete and we'll buy new stuff. I'm really hoping the EISY will control all the lighting and A/V gear etc and other things (ceiling fans, other WIFI enabled stuff around the house) I'm not a big fan of having to have Alexa handle some thing and not the EISY
  16. I asked Alexa to turn on the blu ray scene (a/v gear and a lighting scene) and it just changed the lights but didn’t trigger any of the gear. I have the harmony hub and when I get back home I’ll see if the remote triggers everything correctly
  17. I should add timers and scenes work fine. (maybe not timers, I’ll have to check but a few lights that should have shut off this morning didn’t)
  18. I have two Apple TV set ups. When I ask Apple TV upstairs to start (this phrase triggers a bunch of a/v gear and changes the lights) it said apple tv is in a mode that doesn't accept requests when I ask the downstairs Apple TV to turn on it says ‘enjoy the movie’ as it should but then doesn’t trigger any gear is there an outage or something up with some AWS or the portal?
  19. I have not. I know where those tabs are but that's about it
  20. I've never used STATEs before. This doesn't look simple 🤣 I'm not sure where I'd start
  21. I have a handful of those Eightree/Teckin/whatever their name is this week round smart plugs you can buy on Amazon. I can control them through Alexa voice control but I'd love to control them with my Insteon mini remote. I have the EISY and was wondering if thats now possible? Andrew
  22. I apologize for the double post (I posted over on ISY994 by accident) I need to get ten puck style potlights for a front porch reno. I have used the Votatec slim pots inside and they work well. I've had electricians come in with other brands of LED slim pots and they flash constantly. I know a bit of flickering at certain percentages will happen regardless but the others just pulse constantly until theyre 100%. Any brands I can try here in Canada?
  23. I have the EISY. so essentially the i3 is the new 2477D? Are they getting rid of the 2477d ?
  24. This sounds great. I may pick a few up to check them out. What do you mean 'immune to ALL ONs?
  25. Apologies if this is the wrong forum but the Insteon forum mentioned communication issues. I see the i3 dimmer is on sale up here in Canada. Is it the new version of the 2477D? Are there pros and cons? Drew
