How to find programs containing a certain device
andrew77 replied to andrew77's topic in IoX Support
I used it once solely to check another switch. I didn't have it programmed for any scenes etc. Heres the screen of the Links table. I'm not sure what I'm looking for -
How to find programs containing a certain device
andrew77 replied to andrew77's topic in IoX Support
The new device didn't replace an old device, just a manual dimmer. I looked at the programs that triggered in the middle of the night and deleted some old ones. I'll see if that solves it. If not, I'll post back. -
Not a great title to my post so apologies. I grabbed a SWL and replaced a regular switch for our bedroom closet. When I 'discovered and added' it I selected add device and remove all previous links. But every morning we find the closet light on. I looked but I'm not able to see why its turning on. Is there a way to find all programs/timers that contain a certain device? SWL works but doesn’t light the light

I’ll post back here when I replace it probably tomorrow. -
SWL works but doesn’t light the light
andrew77 replied to andrew77's topic in INSTEON Communications Issues
It’s hooked directly to four ceiling LEDs. I’m assuming all four LEDs wouldn’t have burned out. -
I had the power out for an extended amount of time. When the power came back in a light controlled by a SWL was illuminated. I shut it off and when I turned it back on the light didn’t come on. the LEDs on the swl ramp up and down, I can control it from the UD mobile, and communication seems fine. But no light. I also tried airgapping it. I have another SWL so I’ll switch it out this weekend. Just wondering if I need to reset it or if someone else had this issue and has a fix. or if it’s done.

That makes sense. Thank you for the quick reply.

This is awesome. Is there a repository (I just wanted to use the word repository) for simplified Alexa phrases?

Just adding some new scenes and I noticed theres no check box that used to say "Apply to all devices" (something like that) where I could select all devices in a new scene and change their percentage all at once. Maybe its moved?

I'm assuming these are programs that now that I've updated have orphaned devices (replaced but still a ghost in the machine somewhere) "Not Specified" is usually a device that I've replaced with the same type but for some reason they don't recognize it? Not a big deal as there are no working issues. I'm just cleaning up the ISY before my next back up Drew

Programs don't work after power failure
andrew77 replied to andrew77's topic in INSTEON Communications Issues
I don't think I should have said flag. They had the green arrow on them that appears when you've made changes but haven't saved them yet. I have the latest version (5.3.4 I believe as I just updated yesterday) I don't believe I have the Query at restart checked or maybe I do. I'll check and if not then I'll make sure its on. -
I'll do this from now on. Some devices will respond to "Turn On" but all devices seem to respond to "set" Thank you

Programs don't work after power failure

I just went to my programs page in the GUI and all the programs had green flags on them. I clicked save changes and it seems the programs are functional again. Any idea how that could have happened? -
Programs don't work after power failure

I tried Restoring one device (a SWL) I know is affected. The GUI said It cant communicate with the device -
This has happened to me before. My programs arent working. I don't know about timers as none scheduled should have triggered yet but I assume they are affected too. Do I Restore ISY or Restore Devices?
-
Never mind. I left it for 30 minutes and it seems to be working now. Not sure why it didn't. Maybe it needed to finish or reboot itself. Now I have the UD Mobile up and running. Keep up the great work guys.

I've backed up my ISY and when I click on the ISY994Admin Console icon I get the two screens. When I try to click on the old IoX launcher the ISY doesn't load at all in the first drop down screen Any help would be great. Drew

This works, thank you. I'm uncertain why I used to be able to tell the SWL Turn on to __% and now I cant. I have SWL that currently react to the "Turn On ___%" command with no problem.

I just replaced a SWL using LeeG's directions Everything seems to be good. I deleted the old address in the Portal and in the Amazon Alexa Smart Home browser page. I've added the new device as a light etc. All good I can tell her to turn the device on and off no problem. But when I tell her to turn it on 10% or example she says "Hmm, I don't know that" have I missed a step? Drew

I posted my question there. Thanks for the tip. They aren't as active or as helpful on that forum I find but it does sound like an Alexa/Amazon issue

Hi guys, I have Alexa able to trigger my projector, apple tv, etc with a voice command. Its worked fine until yesterday. Now when I give the voice command she says "Oaky" as usual but only sets the lights. The hub has the green light on the front so I assume(?) it's working fine. I also have everything hooked up to an IR system and when I use the voice command I don't see any of the IR blasters flash red (sending on and off signals) I've disabled and enabled the Harmony Skill. I can turn on the gear with the Harmony remote but not with the voice control. Any help would be great. Drew

This is great news. I hadn’t heard that. I’ll check out their website I’m assuming?

Hi guys, With Insteon maybe coming back (I'm not sure if they'll resume making their KPLs and SWLSs) I'm unclear what to do next. I have an ISY994i and all my devices are Insteon. I just had a SWL go down. I'm not sure what the best replacement is for it (I've read about Z-Wave etc but I have no experience with it) Also I don't believe I can run Z-Wave 700 series? And I don't think I could purchase 500 series devices. Just looking for some thoughts and guidance as to where all this is headed now. I assume I'm not the only one in this dilemma. Any thoughts would be great. (If this isnt the proper forum for this question I apologize) Drew

Programs not working after ISY issues
andrew77 replied to andrew77's topic in INSTEON Communications Issues
I did the troubled one to start. Still no luck. Do I have to airgap them?
