best slim potlight for outdoor porch
I apologize for the double post (I posted over on ISY994 by accident) I need to get ten puck style potlights for a front porch reno. I have used the Votatec slim pots inside and they work well. I've had electricians come in with other brands of LED slim pots and they flash constantly. I know a bit of flickering at certain percentages will happen regardless but the others just pulse constantly until theyre 100%. Any brands I can try here in Canada?

i3 dimmer question
I have the EISY. so essentially the i3 is the new 2477D? Are they getting rid of the 2477d ?

i3 dimmer question
This sounds great. I may pick a few up to check them out. What do you mean 'immune to ALL ONs?

i3 dimmer question
Apologies if this is the wrong forum but the Insteon forum mentioned communication issues. I see the i3 dimmer is on sale up here in Canada. Is it the new version of the 2477D? Are there pros and cons? Drew

Is the portal down?
I switched out the old Ethernet switch with the new one and the problem persists. I know it’s not the EISY because I can plug the EISY (or one of the affected devices plugged into the switch) directly in the router and it works fine. No need for an EISY ticket to be opened. now I get to state at a pile of gear and try to figure out what failed. thanks for the responses guys. Andrew

Is the portal down?
For some odd reason I got this message Connection Type: AuthPortal. 503 Controller not online or not communicating with Universal Devices Portal. Verify your System is connected to network. Try reboot I’ve tried to unplug, wait, then reboot but no luck. as an a side (maybe not related) my Apple TV 4 works but won’t access web stuff (Netflix YouTube) even though it shows it’s still connected to wifi. (just adding extra info in case it helps) both are plugged into the same Ethernet switch. I’m not sure how to check to see if that burned out (if that’s even the right word or possible)

KPL light doesn't respond (illuminate when scene)
That would be the piece I’m missing. I’ll try that and post back.

KPL light doesn't respond (illuminate when scene)
I tried the remove and replace and no luck. When I get back I'll a Factory reset and restore device and post back with the results. Thanks

KPL light doesn't respond (illuminate when scene)
It's a simple scene. I have KPL button H triggering the lights in a hutch I have the button as a controller and as a responder I assumed when the light is on (triggered from another scene) the LED should be on but it isnt. I'm not sure what I've done wrong

Portal license renewal
Thanks for this. My renewal is in a few weeks. If I renew early does it just auto renew on my expiry date or at the time of renewal?

Portal license renewal
Hi guys Every time I renew I sign up for two years (solely for convenience) I just received my alert to renew and I only see one year options. Am I missing something or is the two year option no longer available? Andrew

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
Hi Paul, Thanks, this worked. I factory reset both affected devices and its all good.

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
I’m not sure. How would I look for that?

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
I cleared and factory reset the remote. I just added it back in to the EISY and it still behaves the same as before. What's the next step?

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
I figured. I’ll try that and post back tomorrow.

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
Hi Techman Thanks for the reply. I've resolved all writes and the problem seems to persist. As an aside, I programmed the B button on the remote and the GUI says the device is changing but the device doesn't react either. Should I delete the remote from my EISY and rediscover it?

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
Just wanted to add that another device (a SWL upstairs) also shuts off when I click the remote button. The devices don't turn back on when I repeat click but the intended device works as it should. Both devices that are affected (and shouldn't be) don't show any percentage or on/off change in the EISY GUI (apologizes for the spamming, just want to get all the info I have typed out here.)

Mini remote shuts off device its not linked to
Sorry for the vague title. I have a very simple scene where a SWL and a button on the mini remote control the SWL. When pressed, the mini remote controls the device as expected but it also shuts off my office downstairs (button A on a KPL) I've included screen grabs to the remote's button and the KPL button's Membership. I'm unclear what to do next

Cannot log into ISY Portal -- error 429
I had to relink but everything seems to be back. Thanks to whoever fixed it. and don’t scare us like that again

Cannot log into ISY Portal -- error 429
I’m not sure if this is just a system glitch (it seems coincidental as far as timing) or if it’s just me but when I ask Alexa to trigger an EISY lighting scene (or anything EISY) it tells me ”the skill linked with ____ is not enabled. Please enable the skill to control this device.’
