  1. I live in Canada, does the upgrade from the ISY99i/IR PRO to ISY994i/IR PRO offer apply here as well? If so, how do I go about this?
  2. Thanks for the reply. I am at 3.2.6 on the ISY and it is a new motion sensor. I unchecked the On Only Mode but nothing seems to happen when there is motion! The current state of the Motion Sensor-Sensor remains at OFF; the current state of Motion Sensor-Dusk.Dawn remains at ON. Is this what I should be seeing?
  3. I just bought a Motion Sensor (2420M) and set it up so that it is recognized by my ISY99i. Under My Lighting I now see the 3 parts of the unit (Sensor, Dusk.Dawn, Low Bat). I also set the parameters as Timeout = 1 minute; Led Brightness = 10; Darkness Sensitivity = 35. I also checked all 3 boxes (As Motion is Sensed; ON/Off Commands; and Always). My question is, now that it is setup, shouldn't the state of the Motion Sensor-Sensor change to "ON" when there is motion in front of the unit? I have been trying to test it by waving my hand right in front of it and yet I see no change in status!
  4. LeeG, I'm using Windows Internet Explorer and the zipped file remained zipped. Any other ideas?
  5. I have tried several times to upgrade from 3.1.17 to 3.2.2 and run into the following errors: Upgrade process went to 8%, then failed with the following two errors: 1 - Upgrade falled: failed uploading file (reported written size is invalid) 2 - Socket timeout error Downloaded the file 3 times, but upgrade generated the same error each time. Environment: Windows XP Pro SP3 Java SE 6 1.6.0_31-b05 ISY 99i/IR Pro Networking and Mobilinc modules Any ideas on how to resolve this?
  6. Interesting!! When I was trying to figure out the how to parse the output I was using my PC with the following command in explorer: http://192.168.1.198/rest/vars/get/2/13 Here was the output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> - 6 6 20120323 06:19:54 Note the extra space in ="UTF-8" ? When I used the same command on the iMac in Safari here is what I got: 6620120323 06:19:54 Now I just tried the curl command in terminal and I see the correct output, without that space! Now the cut command makes more sense (I also realized that I was using it incorrectly!). Thanks again...
  7. oceanman93, Thanks for this post... I was trying to follow your other post "ISY has a Voice!" and in trying to better understand the REST commands I stumbed onto this one. This is really helpful. You mention that you compiled a ... would you consider sharing the doc file? A couple of points: - In your post you have I think that the correct syntax should be http://192.168.15.152:5052/rest/vars/definitions/2 - In the section where you show examples like this: I believe that there should be a space between the "8" and the "?" in . I raise this only because when parsing this if one is using the spaces as the delimiter there is one missing. This post has really helped my understanding... thanks again.
  8. I have seen on a few posts that the ISY can send a text message notification, yet I cannot seem to find any details on how I would set this up. Can someone please clarify. Edit: Ok I now understand how it is supposed to work. Now I just have to get it to work!
