The 1st 3 letters of my station is "mid". It still says 0.24 in of rain. It should say 0.01 in. It's adding yesterday's rain for some reason. Thanks!
-
Sure it's, E1583/EW1583. I forget the letters I added to make it work since its aPWS. I'm not at home to check but whatever the 3 letters are just add them and that's my PWS ID. Thanks!

My weather module claims I've had 0.24 in of rain today. In reality I've had 0.01 in rain today and 0.23 in of rain yesterday. How can I fix this? Thanks! Btw, you can see my rain totals for yesterday and today here... http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KSCAIKEN13#history

Can someone please confirm the previous method (before 4.2.x) of not keeping the irrigation system from going several days after a rain. Was it, If Module 'Climate' Irrigation Requirement <= 0 inches Then Irrigation - Reset Variables Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') or If Irrigation Requirement is Negative Then Set State_Negative_Irrigation_Requirment = 1 Else Set State_Negative_Irrigation_Requirment = 0 If State_Negative_Irrigation_Requirment = 1 Then Wait 72 Hours Reset Irrigation Variables Thanks!

hmmm....madbomber posted that. Oh well.

Look through this thread. Michel said to do what Micheal suggested but I don't see a Micheal. Not sure what Michel meant or who he was referring to.
-
So before 4.2.x the irrigation req never went negative? Anyone?
-
Sorry...who is Michael? Anyone?
-
Thanks for the info...it has been helpful! BTW, are you the Micheal that Michel was referring too?

Thanks for all your time Lee!

"Now your button B toggles Scene 1; D,F,H do nothing" Correct. "does C,E,G toggle Scene 2,3,4" No they do not toggle any scenes. The only button that toggles a scene is button B and it toggles scene 1. In 8 scene mode it works perfectly. All buttons toggle there respective scenes correctly in 8 scene mode.

I updated the ISY to 4.2.5. My mini remote is a V1.5 and the ISY says it's an "8 scene v.37". It says 8 scene even though I have it set as 4 scene. I did a factory reset and now only button b changes the status of "A-B" but d, f, and h do not change the status of "C-D", "E-F, and "G-H".
-
Also my mini remote is a 2342-2 v1.5.

Thanks for testing yours Lee. I'm running 4.2.4.

I bought the 8 scene version of this mini remote... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LIH2Y8/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Once I received it I realized I would rather use it as a 4 scene and should have bought this one instead... http://www.amazon.com/INSTEON-Mini-Remote-4-Scene/dp/B005LIH2QG/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1403981913&sr=1-1&keywords=insteon+mini+remote+4+scene So I then linked the mini remote using "Link Remotelinc 2" as a 4 scene remote hoping this would make it just like the one I should have bought. It didn't. In 4 scene mode, only buttons b, d, f, and h change status on the admin console. They alternate between on and off and the color of the LED alternates. Ie. If I press button "b", the LED blinks green and changes the status of "A-B" to "On". If I press button "b" again, the LED blinks red and changes the status of "A-B" to "off". Buttons a, c, e, and g do not change the status of anything in the admin console. Ie. if I press button "a", the LED blinks green but the status of "A-B" does not change. If I press button "a" again, the LED blinks red and the status of "A-B" does not change. Can I make this 8 scene mini remote a true 4 scene mini remote? If so, How? I'm I lining it corectly by linking it as a "Remotelinc 2"? Thanks for your help!

I'm not exactly sure what it was doing before 4.2.4 but I wish there was a way to set it to do what it did before. Otherwise we will have to manually water our lawns a couple days after each rain. Thanks!
-
Does the right side only blink green and the left side only blink red?
-
Shouldn't, "And Module 'Climate' 24h Rain <= 0.25" be greater than instead of less than? Edit* Never mind...I see what you did. Thanks agian!
-
What was the cap before? Simply resetting isn't the answer. If I get 1" of rain I don't want the irr req to be 0. I want it to be something like -0.25". Wouldn't that be better than resetting to 0"?

I bought an 8 scene toggle mini remote from Insteon. Can I change it to a 4 scene toggle? ie. I would like the A button to turn a light on and only blink green and the B button to turn it off and only blink red. How can this be done? Thanks!

SO how do we resolve the issue taking it away creates? ie. my irrigation system wont run for ~13 days...that isn't good. Is there a way to add the cap in via a program? If so what was the cap? Thanks!

Thanks - that's great info for those of us just getting started with this! I do have one question... How are you folks figuring out how much water your system is putting down? My system, for example, covers about 13500 sq. ft. using 27 heads distributed across 7 zones. Each head is currently configured to flow between 1 - 2 gpm depending on my "guess" of the relative requirements at its location, and each zone is currently run between 16 - 22 minutes depending on the amount of sun / shade it sees. Add to all of these variables the fact that all zones have varying degrees of overlap (all "points" are affected by at least two heads, but some see 3 - 4), and it seems that estimating a system-wide output with any accuracy would be nearly impossible... I used something similar to this... http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-26250-Sprinkler-Catch-Cups/dp/B00CBZB8U8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403810205&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=irrigation+peasuring+cups

Seems like pre 4.2.4 the irrigation requirement had a negative cap on it. So if I got 1" inch of rain it didn't go -1.0". In 4.2.4 this isn't the case. For example, a couple days ago we got about 1" of rain. My current evapo is about 0.1" per day. My current irrigation requirement is -0.7". This means in about 10 days my irrigation system will be activated through programs which require the irrigation req to be 0.3". That 1 inch of rain was great but my lawn will be very dry if I count on that 1" to keep my lawn watered for ~13 days. Am I missing something here or did the irrigation req negative cap go away in 4.2.4? Thanks!
