Two Electrical meters one ISY
The most reliable way to couple the two circuits would be with plug in dual band modules. Unlike the in the wall modules which have their antennas located at the back of the device, the plug in modules have external antennas which will give you much better RF coverage.

Insteon Open/Close Sensor 2843 Heartbeat missing
In answer to PeteF as I recall some of the sensors sent an off heartbeat signal and some sent an on heartbeat signal so you have to cover all the bases. If you include those options in your programs the heartbeat signal should be detected. The problem with Smartlabs is that they have a propensity to change their firmware without providing the release notes. The earlier sensors were called triggerlincs and the current sensors are called open/close sensors. Basically the same product with a few minor hardware and firmware modifications.

Insteon Open/Close Sensor 2843 Heartbeat missing
If the ISY reboots then the IF clause will run, and evaluate as true, which starts the timer. When you first create the program you have to manually run the IF clause to start the timer loop. I used this programming approach to avoid multiple programs. .

Insteon Open/Close Sensor 2843 Heartbeat missing
If the device is NOT switched on or if it's NOT switched off then the IF clause becomes TRUE which then starts the 27 hour timer. If the heartbeat signal is received then the IF clause becomes FALSE. When my batteries fail I always get the email.

Insteon Open/Close Sensor 2843 Heartbeat missing
This is the program I use to monitor the heartbeat signals. If it doesn't detect a heartbeat within 27 hours then it runs a program that sends me an email. Note that this program is enabled at Startup. ---------------------------------------------------------- Sensor Heartbeat Fail Monitor - [ID 0094][Parent 0092][Run At Startup] If Control 'Screen Door Opened / Screen Door Heartbeat' is not switched On Or Control 'Screen Door Opened / Screen Door Heartbeat' is not switched Off Then Wait 27 hours Run Program 'Screen Door Sensor Heartbeat Fail' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Is the Polisy standalone and is it an ISY replacement?
Here's the answer https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/little-and-big-endian-mystery/

Is the Polisy standalone and is it an ISY replacement?
What type of interface will be available to access Polisy? Will there be an option to xfer existing ISY data to the Polisy or will the Polisy database need to be reconstructed from scratch?

Motorized blinds--if you were starting from scratch
Somfy can interface with the ISY via Zwave. The Somfy motors have hardwired, replaceable batteries, and rechargeable battery options. Not sure about Hunter Douglas as some manufactures use a proprietary protocol.

Printing list of Insteon Devices
In addition to the file opening on your desktop a copy is also saved in the folder where you keep your ISY backups.

Somfy integration - URTSii or ZRTSi ?
I'm using the ZRTSI which integrates well with the ISY and easy to set up., The ZRTSI requires that you have the ISY Zwave module.

2843-222 installation
There are numerous options available from either Home Depot or hardware stores. The tapes are rated by the weight they can hold. The higher the rated weight capacity the better the adhesive. Yes, there are also thin tape options available.

Battery status on Insteon Motion Sensor, old version
I also swapped out some of the older motion sensors for the later version of the "old" sensor, and also replaced some of the motion sensors with the multisensor 6. I haven't experienced an all on event since then. The following is from the UDI Wiki: Random All On events are related to INSTEON commands being sent to the PLM from ISY and, on the other hand, one (or more) INSTEON devices sending events to the PLM at the same time and thus causing packet collision. RF/dual band devices increase the likelihood of this event since they send two packets for each signal. The combination of the following technique will dramatically reduce the likelihood of All On events: You don't have any programs that use Control for a device and then send a Scene command to a scene which includes the same physical device. So different buttons from the same KPL are considered one device Don't Use a Control for a device which is already a Controller for some Scene and then have the program send other INSTEON commands to other devices/scenes. This basically causes two or more events arrive at the PLM at the same time In addition, motion sensors with low battery, sometimes go crazy and start sending sequences of on/off every second or so. As such: Check Tools | Log for sequences of motion sensor on/off every few seconds and in succession If you do have those, change the motion sensor battery

Battery status on Insteon Motion Sensor, old version
- ISY Launcher failure
Take a look at this link https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page This contain just about everything you'll need to know moving forward. Enjoy- Battery status on Insteon Motion Sensor, old version
In order to reset the low battery node in the ISY all you need to do is query the node from the ISY after you replace the battery. Right click on the low battery node, the click on query. No need to reset or restore the sensor.- ISY Launcher failure
What's the state of the LEDS on the front of the ISY? TRY these steps: Unplug the PLM, wait for 30 seconds Press and hold the set button on the PLM while unplugged for 10 seconds … continue holding the set button on the PLM and then plug the PLM back in and while continuing to hold the set button on the PLM wait for another 10 seconds Reboot ISY and login to the Admin Console If you still get the Safe Mode dialog, then try pushing up the pins inside the RJ45 on the PLM (perhaps they are not making good contact), plug the cable back, reboot ISY, and then login to the Admin Console- Light turning on and I am not sure why
The following is from the user's manual. Try disabling LOAD SENSING. I would also try a factory reset / restore device. (disable the load sensing after the factory reset). It's possible that one or more of your lights is drawing enough current to trigger the load sensing. Load Sensing Load Sensing allows you to control the load plugged into On/Off Outdoor Module from its local switch in addition to any linked controllers. Load Sensing is disabled on On/Off Outdoor Module by default, but you can enable it by following these steps. Enable Load Sensing 1) Press and hold On/Off Outdoor Module set button until it beeps (3 seconds) On/Off Outdoor Module Status LED will begin blinking green 2) Triple-tap On/Off Outdoor Module set button. (Be sure to quickly press the set button like clicking a computer mouse.) On/Off Outdoor Module Status LED will stop blinking and turn on solid green if the load is on or solid red if it is off 3) Test by turning the load on and off from its built-in switch Load will turn on and off Disable Load Sensing 1) Press and hold On/Off Outdoor Module set button until it beeps (3 seconds) On/Off Outdoor Module Status LED will begin blinking green 2) Double-tap On/Off Outdoor Module set button. (Be sure to quickly press the set button like clicking a computer mouse.) On/Off Outdoor Module Status LED will stop blinking and turn on solid green if the load is on or solid red if it is off 3) Test by turning the load on and off from its built-in switch Load will not respond- Light turning on and I am not sure why
- Light turning on and I am not sure why
The log only shows when the status of a device changes. What type of device is it, it appears to be an older model. What programs, if any, control the device How often does the device turn on, is it random? What type of load is connected to the device- Smarthome won't replaced failed 2.4 PLM under warranty
Is your PLM plugged directly into an outlet? Is the PLM in a well ventilated area, i.e. not in an enclosure. Do you have any other electronics plugged in close proximity to the PLM? It's unusual to have the issues you're having with the newer PLM models Do you experience a lot of powerline fluctuations in your area?- New Noise problem
You might want to do a factory reset / restore device on the chandelier switch. If it's an older switch it's also possible that it has some failing components. What's the 4 digit date code on the switch?- So what is with this Insteon CEO letter?
It's been my understanding that they were going to focus on the Insteon Hub and the Android and IOS apps. His letter somewhat confirms that. Sadly he didn't mention anything about new product development or improvements in the Insteon product line. The ISY is the only product that uses their PLM so I doubt they will be doing much in the way of R&D on it. The current PLM seems to be stable and reliable. I've had no issues with it.- New Noise problem
Here's a link to troubleshooting tips https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors- New Noise problem
CFL's can be problematic, a bad ballast can cause noise on the power line. Are all your devices, including the PLM dual band? Run a diagnostic / compare line tables on the problem devices. that will show if you have poor communications or corrupted links. It's also possible that if a device is going bad it can create noise on the power line which would interfere with the Insteon signal. You can also try doing a factory reset on a problem device followed by a restore device. Lastly you may just have a marginal Insteon mesh network. Dual band plug in devices, such as a lamp module or an on/off module, one on each side of the power line might improve your communications. - ISY Launcher failure
