Constant Network Activty
What is the status of the LEDs on the front of the ISY? It's possible that you may have a program running in the ISY that's in a continuous loop. When you updated you ISY firmware did you also update your UI by clearing the JAVA cache and programs and down loading the new ISY launcher? Are you using a PC or a MAC?

Keypad LED lighting
If the load is a separate device, i.e. not physically connected to the keypad, then you need to create a scene and add both devices into the scene as CONTROLLERS. When any device in a scene is turned on or off it also triggers all devices in that scene.

Problem Linking a KPL
It's a common mistake. You're not the only one.

Problem Linking a KPL
The device does not have to be in the linking mode to add it to the ISY. Only battery operated devices need to be put into linking mode prior to adding them to the ISY. Are you getting any error messages when you try to add it? Are you sure you're entering the correct address for the device? Make sure you use the Zero not the letter O if the address has one. You should also do a factory reset on the device prior to adding it to the ISY

ISY994i freezing every couple of days
Check to make sure your not running out of ISY resources. Do you have programs or network resources that are always running? What model PLM are you using. Is your ISY the pro version? What ISY firmware and UI are you running? Your logs should still be intact after a reboot. A factory reset will probably wipe them out. Take a look at your error log.

Battery condition of Wireless Thermostat
Can you give me a program example on comparing values.

Battery condition of Wireless Thermostat
I think that with 4.7.3 I really don't have any options. My first thought, as smokegrub suggested, was to assign either the temperature or humidity to a variable. Guess I'll have to sit it out until I move up to 5.x.x.

Battery condition of Wireless Thermostat
I have several Insteon wireless thermostats that I use to monitor temperature and humidity in outside patio areas. When the batteries fail the ISY shows the last reported temperature and humidity and it could be days before I realize that the batteries have failed. Being that the thermostat doesn't have a battery node, has anyone come up with a clever program to determine if the thermostat's battery has failed? I'm currently running 4.7.3 firmware.

Future of Java and ISY
UDI plans to move away from Java dependency. When that happens the ISY will be fully supported without Java.

Replacing dead PLM for my 994iz - Procedure?
NEVER do a delete PLM. It's also a good ideal to do an ISY backup before you replace the PLM. Attached is the detailed PLM replacement guidelines. Replace ISY PLM.pdf

Have controllers button be in same state as responder
Correct. Be sure to add all the switches to your scenes as CONTROLLERS. All the devices in your scene will then be in sync
-
Have controllers button be in same state as responder
You never want to link the switches to one another before adding them to the ISY. What you need to do is uninstall them from the ISY, do a factory reset on each switch to remove the cross links, the add them to the ISY, one at a time. After adding to the ISY create scene and add both switches to the scene as controllers. The switches will then be in sync with one another and either switch will control the load.

DeShark, Can you post a screen shot of one of the scenes. Are all the lights connected to the load wire on the KPLs?

PLM forgetting all links \ ISY Restore PLM fixes \ bad PLM ??
Brian, this is from the Smarthome site. Looks like they increased the memory, added a piezo sounder, and a few other features. New features: Built-in Dual-Band with RF function, acts like an Access Point for phase bridging and RF to/from power line 2,000+ links (compared to around 1000+ links previously) Added a beep sounder Red/Green LED light Supports faster reading and writing of the PLM's database by another controller Much lighter weight No pass-through outlet

Major problem, is my plm dead
It never hurts to have a spare PLM TVs, power supplies, UPS, and some CFL bulbs are notorious for creating noise on the powerline that interferes with the Insteon signal. I always keep a few spare Filterlincs on hand just in case. Glad to hear you got your issue resolved Here's a few links to troubleshooting Insteon communication issues https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON_Signal_/_Noise_Troubleshooting

Major problem, is my plm dead
Do a factory reset then a restore device on the Chandelier switch. You should also do the same with the KPL. It's not unusual for the links to get corrupted in the KPLs, especially the older ones. If the problem continues you may have noise on the powerline and / or other issues.

Timed Dimmer setting in a scene
Your program looks correct. Not sure why it's not working. Try removing the Ramp Rate line. Are you sure you have good communications between the ISY and your switch.

Do I need a second ISY994?
Add a second Aeon siren or range extender in the workshop. The door locks have limited range.

Linking two 2334-222 keypads, Main button not working
That could be the root of your problem. Did the keypad that failed have the load connected to it, if so what type of load is it? It's also possible that you have some type of interference on the circuit that the problem keypad is on. I would also try another factory reset / restore device before you replace it. You should also take a look at this article https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors

Linking two 2334-222 keypads, Main button not working
If they show as red then they're controllers. Make sure that in your scene both of the buttons that control your light have their on level set at 100%, or the on level you want. In theory should work as expected. It's possible that the links in the keypad got corrupted. Try doing a restore device for each keypad. If that doesn't work then do a factory reset on each keypad then a restore device. Let me know if that resolved the problem.

Disabling KPL's when grand kids visit!
Apparently the scenes still are enabled when the keypad is disabled, I thought otherwise. . All the links for the scenes are stores in the devices themselves. I guess your only other option is to pull out the air gap switch on the keypad as there's no way to disable a scene.
-
Linking two 2334-222 keypads, Main button not working
All the keypad buttons need to be in the scene as Controllers. Once they're in the scene you can set the ON level and RAMP rate for each button in the scene. If you installed the button(s) as Responders then you'll need to remove them from the scene and add them back as controllers.
-
Have controllers button be in same state as responder
Both switches need to be in the scene as Controllers. Remove the switch from the scene that's a responder then add it back as a controller. The load wire on the switch that's not connected to the light should be capped off.
