  1. MustangChris04 The contact should be CLOSED and the green status LED on the I/OLinc should be ON when the garage door is open, the LED should be off when the door is closed. If that's the case then you're properly wired. Make sure that you don't have trigger reverse enabled on the I/OLinc

  3. MustangChris04 The bulb is not connected to a switch or dimmer, it is being controlled directly by the ISY Brian H I have numerous LED bulbs connected to various Insteon controllers and none of them flicker when dimmed except the Insteon bulb. Smarthome said when the bulb is connected to a Insteon Hub it didn't flicker so it's possible I have a defective one.
  4. I just installed one of the 9 watt bulbs and noticed that when I dim or brighten it flickers during the process but is steady once it reaches the intended brightness. I spoke to Smarthome who said that when using the Insteon Hub they didn't experience any flicker. I'm wondering if I have a bad bulb or if the ISY algorithm is causing the flicker.

I just added the climate module and about two minutes after the ISY rebooted everyone of my devices turned on. The ISY didn't reflect the on status of the devices. Is this a coincidence and/or is my PLM on the way out? This is the first time I've experienced this.
  7. Here's the ISY994 LED troubleshooting info. Hope this helps

I originally had it that way and was getting SMTP errors from one of the ISP's so I divided them into two groups. I'll try combining them once again to see what happens.

I reversed them a while ago and the issue always seemed to be with email that was in second position. Do you have any idea how the outgoing emails are processed? I currently have email 1 in group id 1 and email 2 in group id 2. At one point I had them under the same group ID and still had an issue.

The following program is run if a door event is triggered. Email 1 is always received, however Email 2 is intermittent, sometimes it shows up sometimes it doesn't. The emails are sent to two different ISP's. There is nothing in the error log showing any mail server issues. How does the ISY process multiple emails sent at the same time? Do I need a longer wait time between notifications? Currently running 4.2.3, I also had this issue with the previous release If -No conditions Then Send Notification to 'Email 1' content 'Door Open' Wait 2 seconds Send Notification to 'Email 2' content 'Door Open' Else No action
  11. I'm using 8 button KPL dimmers v.41 and .43 and have had no issues with the CREE Led bulbs. Not sure if there were issues with the older KPLs. The CFL's can be somewhat problematic. I've also had issues with the Philips bulbs and no longer use them. It might be worth it to pick up one of the later KPL's on sale and see if that solves your problems, if it doesn't you'll probably need to try a different bulb.

LeeG, once again many thanks, it's now working.

Is it possible to adjust the load (button A) local on level on a 6 button KPL dimmer based on the time of day using a scene or a program? The KPL is showing as a 5 button KPL in the ISY, not sure why I was able to adjust the on level on a SwitchLinc dimmer but it doesn't seem to work on the KPL. Thank you.
  14. Hello Intellihome, After trying numerous led bulbs I found the CREE A19 led bulbs, which are sold at Home Depot stores and online, to work very well with the Insteon products. I'm able to dim them all the way down and up without any flicker or noise. They're currently available in 40w, 60w, and 100w equivalent. They come in both 2700k (soft white) and 5000k (bright white) color temperatures. The 2700k is most comparable to the color temperature of an incandescent bulb.
  15. I'm not familiar with the Honeywell panel but if you have a dry contact N/O and a Common lead coming from the panel and if the N/O contact closes when the panel is armed then all you need to do is hook up those two leads to the Sensor and Ground contacts on the I/O Linc.
  16. There's a documented issue with 4.2.2 and/or Java that causes the admin console to freeze up under certain conditions. This may be what's causing your issues. UDI said they will have a fix included in the next beta release.

I would like to change the state of an On/Off module each time an I/O Linc receives a momentary signal on the sensor input. Not sure the best way to proceed. UPDATE - think I figured it out. I set a state variable to change each time the sensor input receives a signal.

I've been seeing several 10011 messages in my error log lately. What triggers this error? 10011 - RSA REIMPORT KEYS FAILED
  19. It's possible that one of your CFL's has a bad ballast which would manifest itself after the CFL has been turned on and could interfere with the Insteon off command.
  20. I have numerous LED's, all dimmable, that I purchased at Costco and have had no issues with them, but I have had problems with CFL's generating noise on the powerline.
  21. I recently installed a Grace GDI-IRDT200 internet radio tuner into my home audio system and would like to control it via my ISY 994. They supposedly have an open API and was I wondering if anyone has the code or knows where I could find it. Thank you.

The following is from the UDI Wiki page. Hope this helps Reset Userid/Password to admin/admin 1. Use a sharp object to push in the Reset Button till the RX, TX, Mem, Error lights start blinking (every second) 2. Hold for 5 seconds till the RX, TX, Mem, Error lights turn on/off consecutively (RX -> Tx -> Mem -> Error) 3. Release

It would be that the circuit with the Insteon switch is improperly wired. The theory is that when the 3-way is switched there would be a momentary break in continuity, causing a voltage drop, to the circuit with the Insteon device. The problem could be worse at night when more lights, etc. are on causing more of a voltage drop at the Insteon switch which could explain why the problem is intermittent. If that isn't the culprit you might want to think about selling the house.
  24. Techman replied to ABLE1's topic in ISY994
Les, I think the circuit with the Insteon switch might somehow be in series with the offending 3-way switch as most of the other possibilities have been eliminated. If you disconnect the wires from the 3-way and the Insteon switch still works then that wouldn't be the case. If the Insteon switch fails to work with the wires disconnected then the circuit was incorrectly wired. You can remove any two of the three wires which will essentially remove the switch from the circuit.
  25. Techman replied to ABLE1's topic in ISY994
It sure sounds like the wiring for the offending 3-way switch could be the issue. either a bad connection or incorrectly wired. Have you tried removing at least 2 of the 3 wires on the offending 3-way switch, then checked to see if the Insteon light still works? This would eliminate the possibility of incorrect wiring. When the 3-way switch is tripped you could be getting a momentary voltage interruption in the Insteon circuit which may not register on the analog meter.
