Home assistant integration with Nodelink for a DSC panel
pyrorobert replied to pyrorobert's topic in Home Assistant
Oh okay, just a few follow up questions. Is the Nodeserver a cloud based service? If we lose the internet, will it still function locally with the eisy? Especially with the Envisalink? I have my eisy set up to turn on lights in case of alarm activation including smoke detectors. If I lose a internet connection, then it will not function. How is the Envisalink version implemented into HA? Thanks -
Home assistant integration with Nodelink for a DSC panel
pyrorobert replied to pyrorobert's topic in Home Assistant
Yes, I'm running an eISY with a Raspberry Pi running Nodelink at this time. This set up works great with no issues. But with more apps and other hubs being added, I really need to migrate into Home Assistant. Plus I have had these Nest thermostats for years now and since the Nodeserver is no longer compatible, I have moved the controls over to Home Assistant also. -
Home assistant integration with Nodelink for a DSC panel

So I am starting to use Home Assistant but I have had a fun time trying to get my security system to function properly. I can see all of my points including status of the security system on Home assistant but I am not able to Arm or disarm it. I have also tried to use the Envisalink integration but it constantly gives me errors. I was hoping there may be another way to get this to work. Thanks -
Instead directly connecting to each camera and opening ports for access, I'd rather go through Blue Iris. Sent from my SM-F946U1 using Tapatalk

Has anyone used UD Mobile to connect to your cameras through Blue Iris? I would prefer this route as all of my cameras are isolated from being reached through an exterior connection.

Okay sounds good. Thank you for the info. Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk

Thank you for the response. So my plan was to add these around the kitchen countertops to replace my regular white LEDs. I was able to include it in my Eisy, but when I turn it on, it does not do anything. I will try to mess with it more to see why it is not working correctly. Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk

Just wondering if anyone has used one of these controllers? How do you control the different colors? Thanks Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk

They are mostly all Insteon and the few Z-Wave devices are not having issues. They are not all the same devices either. From IOLincs, Micro On/Off, 8 button keypads, and a few Switches. I have noticed that some of them show red led lights when pressed. I have even deleted them and reinstalled them but no change. I do have about 65 devices throughout, so it is not all of them reacting this way. The motion sensors are working fine too. Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk

I did follow the procedures as what was mentioned in the migration of the Eisy. But like everyone else, I did run through some issues and I finally had it working. I have tried quite a few times to do a restore on those devices with no change. From UD Mobile, I am still able to control them but it is not automatically updating those devices. Hello everyone, Ever since I upgraded to the Eisy, I have noticed that a lot of my devices are not updating their status. Once I run a query, it then will update the status of that device. I'm trying to confirm if it is my PLM or just the Eisy. I also seem to have a few that will lose communication but then reconnect on it's own. Any thoughts are appreciated. It's on Android. I tried a fresh install and it continues to crash. Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk

So I am not sure why UD Mobile keeps crashing. It was working fine up until I began changing statuses, colors, and icons in my favorites about two weeks ago. Now it will not stop crashing when I open the app. I tried removing the app and to start it new, but it is still crashing every time I try to open it. Any suggestions, please? Okay thank you. What a bummer!

When the first version of the Polyglot came out, I was able to connect my Nest thermostats to my ISY. Is there another way to connect them to the Eisy that others are using? Thanks

So I just found the serial to rj45 cable that came with one of the PLMs that I had as an extra and used that to connect to the Eisy. It is now up and running. I used a usb A to serial db9 adapter to the Serial cable to rj45 to a RJ45 coupler to the Ethernet cable to the PLM. Kind of a mess but it worked.

PLM was plugged in and connected to the Eisy before I turned it on. Still having comm issues. I am making my own cable as I found out that the db9 to rj45 adapter was wired different as this was typically used to connect to other fire alarm panels. Now just trying to make my own at least until UD has them in stock again. I did try to factory reset the PLM but i still have the 0.0.0 v0/ not connected for my PLM status.

So I just received the Eisy this afternoon. I am trying to set it up as it is replacing my Isy-994i. I was able to restore the backup, migrate everything. But it will not see my PLM. When I check the PLM info/status, it shows not connected. I am using a usb to Serial / Serial to DB9 adapter. I also tried to factory reset the PLM, but it did not help. Any other ideas? PLM Status 0.0.0 v0 / not connected

I have 9 battery operated devices. I just would go around and grab each one and bring them near my PLM. That is when I would run a restore to all of the devices. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Thank you to all that responded. So this is what I have found so far. I went ahead and did a restore on my PLM. That did seem to fix all of my motion sensors and programs that weren't working properly. The IOLinc that I had, only picked up the sensor portion and would not recognize the relay. I did have an older IOLinc that I swapped out with the new one that was still in the box. Fortunately, that old one worked just fine. Now let see how long it stays working. Thank you again for the assistance. Robert Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

I have a replaced my PLM a few times now. I believe the one I have is a newer one and is close to 3 years now. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

My system is based on an ISY-994i with a PLM. I have about 66 insteon devices throughout my home. I have updated the firmware to 5.30.0. I have had my system up and running for 8 years now. The concern is quite a few of my programs are no longer responding to device inputs. I also have 4 motion II's that are no longer activating lights. Yesterday, I was adding two new devices, an IOLinc and a 8 button Keypad. When I added the IOLinc, the sensor portion was the only part that was added and the relay portion was not added. I also added the Keypad into my devices, but it added it as if it was only a single switch. These issues have started within the last year and seems to becoming worse. Has anyone else had any similar issues? Could this be a start of a corrupt ISY? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks Robert

I will give that a shot. Thank you
