Simple routine to turn on and off switch LEDs works about half the time
I doubt 2 plms together would cause any issues since the one being used would be processing any commands at any given moment. If anything, i could see the software's causing conflict since both can run commands concurrently causing collisions. With him using the Isy, I would take @MrBilladvice, get rid of houselinc, and move everything to the Isy

Post your programs. Also firmware and UI of your Isy

Buying the Z-Wave module
The process has changed. That's the new process. Creating a portal account is free, quick and simple

Should I Upgrade Z-Wave Firmware
You'd need to upgrade your Isy firmware to 5.0.16c to use that device. Make sure you read the full instructions should you decide to upgrade before starting to avoid any issues
-
Backup solution
No there is not. Zwave doesn't work like that. Even if there was, you'd be spending more time trying to avoid the issue than it would take making a back up and restoring

New Nokia Insteon Devices
They have an ID and qr code that can be scanned

New Nokia Insteon Devices
There's a whole debate/discussion on another thread about this and the path they are taking at this time. It's not a lack of brains but a decision to take a different path

New Nokia Insteon Devices
You will have to use their hub. I explained in an earlier post what happens with the Isy

I don't think he realizes it's more of a licensing thing than actual ownership

New Nokia Insteon Devices
Who says they can? Additionally, larger companies typically have more buying power than smaller companies. It's why you'll see Amazon carrying stuff that your local dealer may not be able to get right now.

Alexa will not control scenes but isy will
Post pictures of your programming. No one can tell you definitively with so little information.

New Nokia Insteon Devices
None of them are supported by the Isy. While they will add as an unsupported device, you will not receive device status from them or change modes ie: the dimmer will not be able to become a relay and the relay will not be able to become a dimmer. You can send basic commands from the Isy but that would be it. Your suspicion would be incorrect. UDI has already stated their stance in regards to these devices and no, they will not be supporting them AT ALL without full documentation and support from smartlabs which will not happen anytime soon. There is a much bigger divide between these devices and standard insteon devices than you realize. The only similarity between these and standard devices is how they communicate. UDI could reverse engineer the protocol for basic support. However without the API and access to insteon servers, most of the differentiating features would be left out

Shade Support - Google Home
I think syntax. Wanting to say open or close instead of on/off

No. At least not in the near future

Alexa will not control scenes but isy will
Is your portal account still active? If you haven't changed anything then i suspect a bug with Amazon.

Leak Detectors sending false alarms
The PLM would have nothing to do with his leak detectors reporting false status. Especially in absence of poor communication
-
Leak Detectors sending false alarms
I've never seen that happen like that. If replace the batteries factory reset then, and restore then into your isy

Turn lights on/off with motion sensor with manual override
Ditto for me too. I've found the more complicated you make things, the less efficient things become which makes automation an inconvenience. With all the variables the op wants, real world use will cause more problems than it solves
-
I/O Linc Problems
Remove from the Isy, factory reset, and then manually turn on. If they don't turn off, re-add them to the isy, turn them on from the Isy, and see if they turn off.

Polyglot errors
Can you log into your isy

KPL Insteon Engine Not Recognized....
I'd cut up an extension cord and make a pigtail out of it for hot/neutral. Connect the Kpl to that and plug it in near the PLM. Once added to the Isy, i would install it in its final place and see what happens

KPL Insteon Engine Not Recognized....
Probably none, especially since it worked for the past year. You can confirm by manually linking it with something else. If it links then it's not bad. Once linked, factory reset both devices and then restore the device you used in the Isy

KPL Insteon Engine Not Recognized....
Your link brings you back to this subject. However, i found your post. I use magnitude with insteon devices without any issues. The one you have can work with them. You didn't state how you were trying to add the device to the Isy. If there is noise from the driver, disconnecting it can work. I'd try factory resetting the device again, choosing start linking, and then press and hold the set button on the insertion device until you hear the chirp

ISY994i ZW+/IR PRO & Insteon 2413U - How to connect?
Yes it will. How long it lasts depends on stock levels. Hopefully it'll last until they start making them again

KPL Insteon Engine Not Recognized....
If the kpl was part of your backup, it shouldn't need to be added. You simply need to restore the device to the Isy. How are you trying to add the device. Try start linking and then press and hold the set button until you hear a chirp. Who said you're using the wrong driver and what made them feel it's the wrong type for your dimmer?
