ISY Launcher Keeps Closing
Waketech replied to Waketech's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
Is this the same fix for the ISY launcher app on my PC ?. On a side note when I enter the IP in browser I can log into the device/dashboard but cannot get into the admin console either I just get a screen that shows "ISY Please keep this window open Java 2+ required" ? I also just got into the dashboard and the error that comes up and I think it's the same that quickly flashes in the admin console is "IO error proxy device" Also tried turning the AntiVirus on/off with no difference -
All, When I use the ISY launcher to get into the admin console I can successfully enter my credentials, everything comes up normal and then almost immediately a box is displayed in the center of the screen (to fast to read what it actually says) and then the screen closes. Any idea ?, using version 4.8

So I finally got around to deleting the device, however this time when I signed on the icons show a green arrow/triangle as per below... What do these mean ?
-
So I see that you can remove the device from the folder but is that actually deleting it ?
-
Tried the factory reset and then restore device and nothing
-
Ok so I tried the device links and got the error "failed reading device link (name) [-200000/-5]" And on the level 3 I got this Tue 06/26/2018 09:52:24 PM : [All ] Writing 0 bytes to devices
-
I looked at the device quickly when leaving and noticed the green LED was no longer on, does this mean it's NFG ?
-
All, I have an IOLinc that is not responding (as per message when I open the console and red acclimation mark), however I can still control it. Any ideas ?. I also tried to right click and restore the device but this did not work either.

Ok got it up and running

So on the WIKI it says that Please Note that your request will cause the Network Module to be Uninstalled and not accessible after the expiration of the ISY Portal Subscription I assume this means that the ISY Portal takes over all these functions and if something happens to the Portal then I can go back to using the network module as a stand-alone ?, secondly if I purchase the module do I need to email support to get it turned off ? Thanks

The I/O linc on the opener is currently used to tell me if the door is opened or closed and so I can shut it remotely if left open. I lost my opener so am looking for a replacement and additional functionality (example: disable alarm as well as open door).
-
I have a dual band switch linc about 10' from the IOLINC
-
This one 2342-232
-
All, Does anyone use one of these as their primary opener ?, if so are there any delays from when you get on your driveway to when the ISY recognizes that the remotlinc is in range and thus have the ability to open your door. TIA

Thank you for the help in working on this. I have determined that the unit will return to operation based upon the last switch position. My intent will be to turn on when needed and run for x amount of time to avoid cycling of the device. My worry is that too much power on/power off my damage the device or am I over worrying ?
-
Ok so here are the results.... Both green and yellow disconnected Result = Nothing happens to any function Green connected, yellow disconnected Result = Fan goes through it's three stages, no lights are illuminated Yellow connected, green disconnected Result = No fan function, two lights blink (not corresponding to switch position)

Stu, what am I measuring to/from ?
-
Ok, got you. I did that last night and there is no open/close like a normal relay
-
so the other ones (not under test) will be connected as normal ?, I am just trying to understand your caution note fully
-
So essentially I am bridge the gap between controller and unit with the ohm meter and at any point in time there will only be two connections (one on either side of the ohmmeter)
-
Yes it does, I only did one switch position, can do more if needed
-
Switch Off Black/Green = 4.00 Black/Red = 5.00 Black/Yellow = 0.00 Green/Red = 0.93 Green/Yellow = 4.00 Red / Yellow = 5.00 Switch ON Black/Green = 3.40 Black/Red = 4.92 Black/Yellow = 4.60 Green/Red = 1.563 Green/Yellow = 1.182 Red / Yellow = 0.382
-
Ok Red/Black was 5 volts
-
Will check and advise later tonight

That's what I was afraid of, so my options are.. 1) power the device on/off as needed (I assume this will wreck it over time ?) 2) Try to find something on the main board (I know there are physical relay's mounted on there it's just to find out what they do) ?
