Mike, The other emails seem to be working fine. As per your request I have changed the email to turn on the office light that is next to the door. the light then turned on, what should I be looking for in the email/notification ?
-
All, Does the Jammed status work with the ISY ?. I currently have the following program.... If Status 'Door Lock' is Jammed Then Wait 30 seconds Repeat Every 5 minutes Send Notification to 'email" Else I have confirmed that the status is actually jammed but no emails from through Thanks
-
I am starting to look at POE camera's and have a few questions..... 1) I assume you will need a POE switch ? 2) Can non POE devices still be connected to a POE switch w/o damage ? Thanks
-
All, I noticed that when I log on remotely to the ISY that there is a section called camera's and if you select new there are some options to fill in, my question is if I have a camera what comes up in this window (I assume a live feed) ?. Thanks
-
Sorry for the delay, Last night I was doing some painting in the garage so at 8:44 pm I set the thermostat to turn on and warm the garage. I came back in at 9:50 pm and the main page did not update anything (temp, set point humidity) when I manually queried everything matched the local display of the TSTAT. Unfortunately I did not look at the comms log (I will do this tonight, same test). On a side note If I run a program to auto query at an interval of xxxx min that seems to work just fine (TSTAT gets updated when queried, only if there is data to update).
-
Techman, Thanks for the info, is there a disadvantage to doing this ?
-
I lost email notifications at 8:09 GMT, Is this from the server upgrades as mentioned above ?. Also upgraded to newest version and still no luck. I assume by this all notifications are run through UD, is there a way for local routing of notifications ?
-
Perfect, will give this a shot tonight. Thanks again
-
Mike, tried that and no the PLM has not been replaced. I have this discussion going on another thread (sorry different question but lead to talking about this issues). From what Xanthros is saying I think it may be that the only time the data will update from a query inside a program is when a variable actually changed, vs from the main menu it will always grab data ? http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/14100-2441th-two-wire-wo-power/page-2
-
Ok, makes sense thank you for doing this. I will let my program run over 24hrs and query every 10 min and see what I get for results. I am guessing it still will not work after that I am out of ideas on getting this thing to update back to the ISY
-
Sorry for being a newbie, is there something I should be trying based on your test ? (sorry again)

-
If queried through the main page, everything works fine. I just cannot query it through a program unless my programming is less than stellar. I did create a program with the "Then" as follows... Set 'Garage / address - Main' Query I assume if I "run then" than I should get an update and some events in the event log but I do not
-
So much for the program to query the device, I cannot query it through a program. The only way it will actually update is if I right click on query from the main device page, grrrrrr. The funny thing is that a program to sync the time works and so does my program to turn the thermostat off when the garage door opens. Is there a way to right directly to the device (other than a program or is this thing just not going to work ?)
-
I did not run a query (program or manually) so I assume this is a legit communication. I got back from work and looked at the event viewer and it did communicate twice since 7:00 am 12:47:06 am CLIMD 0 12:47:44 am, CLIMD 1 On a side note, do you know where I can get the meaning of these items (example CLIMD) ?, so from this I can assume it is not updating, is there are any detrimental effects from making a program to query, say every 10-15 min ?

All, Here are the steps and results 1. Deleted device in ISY 2. Reset Thermostat 3. Re-linked thermostat 4. Synced clock on thermostat with ISY 5. Queried Thermostat to have values show up on ISY 6. Started Log/event viewer (started approx 9:14 pm) The display/status on the ISY did change from the start of the log to end I only had two communications on the event viewer 9:48 pm, DOF 0, ST 0 (This may have been me turning down the thermostat locally) 3:00 am, CLISPH 110, CLIHUM 38, ST 122 Note: I have a clock sync program set to run at midnight and this did not show up, not sure if it would to begin with though.

Techman, I will check but I doubt it. Correct me if I am wrong but when I look in the event viewer I should see the updates/comms from the thermostat when it updates ?. I will try larryllix's suggestion tonight and report back. Thanks
-
Tehman, tried reset and no communucation seen on the event viewer (turned heat on to warm, opend gargae door to cool)
-
Reset and no updates come in on the event viewer for temp or humidty Mike, count is 22
-
I will check tonight as well as completing a factory reset as mentioned in the other post
-
Not yet, will try tonight and advise
-
Thanks, on a side note (posted on another thread) I am having issues with the temp updating unless queried, do you have any isnight in to what might be the problem ? http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/14242-2441th-cuurent-state-update/
-
Mike, Definitely not the wireless one, for the links please confirm I did this correct Tools > Diagnostics > Show Device Links Table > Chose the thermostat and left the check box unchecked. The response I got was.... 0: 1FF8:E2 EF 2A.A2.1E 01 00 EF 1: 1FF0:E2 01 2A.A2.1E 01 00 01 2: 1FE8:E2 02 2A.A2.1E 01 00 02 3: 1FE0:00 00 00.00.00 00 00 00 count = 4 Thanks

Techman, It seems that the current state temp only updates when the device is queried on the ISY, the temp on the thermostat updates in real time.

All, Finally got around to doing this, found the following on the control board C - R - Had external connection G - Had external connection W1 - Had external connection W2 - The C and W2 were not wired, so I added a pin to the plug to allow for a C wire and everything worked out. The unit does not have secondary heat (W2) so I am only using 4 wires and everything is working fine, thanks all for the help.
