I just installed the 2441TH and noticed the temp in "Current State" does not update unless I manually query it 1. Am I just impatient, is there a default refresh time ? 2. Is this device capable of auto updating ? Thanks

All, if it helps the heater is a Reznor UDAP http://www.rezspec.com/files/I-UDA%20%28Version%20B.8%29%20PN195673R23%20smallest.pdf Here is a link to the thermostat http://cache-m2.smarthome.com/manuals/2441TH.pdf

I assume I can use any ground point inside the heater (earth ground and/or the ground for the 120 VAC power that is used for the fan) ?
-
So I did a little investigation in the garage and found the following... The heater has the following connection points R G W1 W2 My current thermostat (2 wire) is connected to R and W1, I then measured the voltage across R and G and got approx 27 VAC, based on this do you have any further wiring suggestions ?

All, Just got my thermostat in the yesterday, my current thermostat only has two wire from the garage heater. I am not sure of the exact connections however basically open/closed connection from the existing thermostat (the heater came with an old mechanical one). In any case I see that I require 24 VAC to power the 2441TH, I assume I can get a power supply from an electrical place to provide power, however were do the other two wires go on the 2441TH ?. Thanks

The garage heater just has the two wires from the heater, no humidity req'd The home furnace (I will have to check) for the moment I just want to see what thermostats are available, I will use the garage heater as a test case. So what I understand is you need to use the 2441ZTH combined with another device (there is no direct connection to the 2441ZTH)

If used as an independant device, where do you hook up the wires from the heater ? or do you need an IoLinc ?
-
Larry, I am using this for a garage heater so accuracy is not that much of an issue, I was always under the assumption that you could not use the 2441ZTH as a stand alone unit, I thought it has to be paired with a 2441TH. So to clarify this can be used on its own as a thermostat ?.

I type in my IP that the ISY assingned (I believe it said https: I am not home to verify this). I do have it on the defualt port 443. To access I just type the IP in the browser and I gain access after entering the password

Teken, I currently am using port forwarding and everyhting seems to be working, can I assume this is secure enough ?
-
Oh and is there a cost for this

Teken, How would a newbie find this info on how to do this ? Thanks

All, Wha is the most secure way to access your ISY when you are away from your house ?. Thanks

Mike sorry to be a newbie, however I do not see a table of all the address's and what they mean on that link (example: door open, door jammed, user, etc)
