Do you think we will ever see a double Switchlinc that would allow us to control two independent loads? A lot of bathrooms have a single gang box with a switch that controls the light and the ventilation fan independently. It would be nice to see a new Insteon product that would allow this. Currently you would need to use an 8 button keypadlinc (the first row would be ON for the light, second row would be OFF for the light, third row would be ON for the fan, 4th row would be OFF for the fan) and a micro on/off module that would be controlled by the 3rd and 4th row buttons on the keypad. Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

I have to agree with Teken on this. I work for a development company and there are times when we are doing integrations with other companies that there is inadequate documentation and support from the company we are integrating with. That doesn't stop us from implementing a solution and at times we are able to include features that are not even mentioned in the documentation. Yes, it would be easier if everything was documented and I can’t see any business value reason why Insteon would not want document every capability of all their products. When I spoke with Insteon support several months ago, they did mention that there has been a lot of changes going on and some turnover with their employees. I don’t know if this is true or not, but maybe they don’t have any staff members still around that were familiar with the features so that may be why the documentation is lacking. Regardless, the features are available and can be seen within HouseLinc, so I’m sure UDI has the capabilities of adding these missing options.

What about the TempurPedic adjustable base? This can be controlled via WiFi from their iOS/Android app.

Hi LeeG, I don't recall seeing those in the individual product's documentation. In the houselinc documentation all it states is "Both responder and controller settings can be set to Programming Lock which prevents manual changes from being made at the device. "

Device sometimes doesn't respond to program

Also, if I have two identical keypads on the same breaker, in the same 4-gang box, with the same hot, neutral, and ground, why would one switch always have 2-hops left when testing the communication from the PLM and another always have 1 or 0 hops left? -
I have several "2334-2 KeypadLinc DImmer 5 button switches" and I only see options for Button Grouping, Buttons Toggle Mode, and LED Brightness. Where is the other button for "options"? I want to be able to enable the beep on keypress without having to physically go to each switch. I also want to enable Program Lock, LED on TX, etc. Thanks! Firmware v4.2.18 UI v4.2.18

Would I check this by reading the LED on the PLM? I've ordered a filterlinc, but it is only 10-amp. Do you think the average 1/2HP garage opener is a 15a? -

Hi LeeG, After doing the 4 tap set button, the majority of my devices were blinking red (same phase) but all the devices in my master bathroom and my guest bedroom were blinking green (opposite phase). If I have the Insteon hardwire phase coupler, shouldn't all my devices be blinking red? When turning off the two 15a breakers for the phase coupler, it had no affect on the colors of the lights that were blinking on the devices. I also had two keypads not blink at all. They are Model #2486D. I'm guessing those are two keypads I forgot to swap out with dual band devices? -

Everything on the circuit is filtered except my garage door opener. LeeG, all my 100+ devices in the house are dual band. Wouldn't those function the same as the range extenders? -

Thanks oberkc, I do have an Insteon 2406H phase coupler installed , and several FilterLincs on all my UPS, televisions, and other electronics. On the same circuit of my PLM I have two UPS but both of those have a FilterLinc. Not sure what else could be causing communication problems. -

Thanks Guys. Erik, it is controlling a scene with 3 devices. LeeG, After turning the switch on/off several times, the Hops Left were sometimes 1, and sometimes 0 but I never had an issue with the command not going through. -

Thanks LeeG, I will change the event to a few minutes before. The event log that is shown above was for when I manually right clicked the program and selected "Run Then". I did this at 8:54PM and it happened to not work at that time either. -
Hi all, I have a program to turn off 3 Insteon devices at 3:00am. Sometimes one of the devices does not respond to the program and will stay on the entire night. 2 of the devices are the new Insteon Dual on/off outlet. and the other is a lamplinc. The device that does not respond sometimes is "33.3A.76". The lamplinc is "2E.4D.BA" and the other dual on/off outlet is "33.38.FA" This is all that I have in my event viewer at that time and I only see two events for the device that did not respond: Mon 12/22/2014 08:54:18 PM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [33 3A 76 1] [sT] [0] uom=0 prec=-1 Mon 12/22/2014 08:54:18 PM : [ 33 3A 76 1] ST 0 Any ideas on what to do to diagnose? Same error after restarting. In fact, I had this error last week and and to reformat my computer and after a fresh install of windows and then installing Eventghost with this plugin the same exact errors appeared. -

If I connect to the ISY via HTTPS, it takes about 10 seconds for a command to be sent, whereas on HTTP it is nearly instantaneous. I know SSL has some extra overhead because of the handshaking and encryption, but 10 seconds!? If that is the case and this is typical, I may have to setup my webserver to receive the commands over HTTPs then relay it to the ISY on the local network via HTTP.

You are missing a "amp;" in Google's TTS URL. The URL should be: translate.google.com/translate_tts?tl=en&q=%22andy%20has%20left%20interlocken%22

I tlooks like you are trying to play a file. You need to Change the SOAPACTION to the following: "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1#SetAVTransportURI" That will tell the sonos speaker to queue up that file. Then you need to run a separate command to tell it to play it. POST /MediaRenderer/AVTransport/Control HTTP/1.1 Host: 192.168.1.25:1400 Connection: Close Content-Type: text/xml; charset="utf-8" Content-Length: 267 SOAPACTION: "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1#Play" <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><u:Play xmlns:u="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1"><InstanceID>0</InstanceID><Speed>1</Speed></u:Play></s:Body></s:Envelope>

Is this something we can expect to not see in any future updates? Before switching to the ISY, I was a HUGE HouseLinc user. Every single switch/keypad in my house had an option in Houselinc to set a programming lock. It seems that the only two devices I can program lock are fanlincs and iolincs, which neither of these devices would even come close to the hands of little kids trying to push the buttons. This programming lock only locked the "set button" on the switch. It could still be programmed remotely. It was very easy to enable and disable this feature whenever you wanted. I never had any issues being locked out of a switch and unable to disable the program lock. There was also another option (complete separate) to "Disable Houselinc Control" so that even Houselinc couldn't change settings on the devices.

I never contacted Nest. I went on their forums and multiple people were complaining about the logout issue and Nest support said it was due to 3rd party apps. -

Has anybody noticed when using the ISY to control the NEST you are getting logged out of the official NEST application for iOS and Android? Nest support said that any 3rd party apps that are not official will cause this to happen. -

Would you be able to tell me how to get a H264 stream in iRule. I can't seem to get it to work. -
+1, you are absolutely correct.
