  1. It will in the future. I agree with the thoughts of getting the z-wave expansion card now and let your future desires to expand drive additional purchases.
  2. Thanks for doing this io_guy. I appreciate that Mono has been there in the past, but running on the actual MS stack will be better for me. Paul
  3. There is a lot written above... here are things to think about Use Momentary B in the iolinc configuration. Either on or off will trigger the door. Garage door openers with the iolinc will operate just like the manual opener unit.... one button for everything. In this case setting it on or off will be just like pressing the manual opener button Also, you may be trying to hard by checking the status at all. Have no if statement for the program. Simple say "set garage relay on" for both programs. That will have the same effect as your voice command having alexa press the manual garage door opener button Paul
  4. Nodelink working here as well, updated via the script. When it came up, config.xml hadn't been copied over, but probably due to me having my config.xml in a directory I had used since the xxxxlink days...it was easy to diagnose/fix. Paul
  5. cool. In a related question, I'd be curious how you feel about the service after you've used it a few weeks. I take it that its a mobile data to lan type of service? Paul
  6. I have a backup / dev b+ I can try it on.its already set up with existing nodelink.. It will be a.good test for the larger audience here Paul
  7. How was the ip set up on your ISY... dhcp or static? The ISY maintaining its previous locally NAT’d IP address might explain the behavior. Look at the system tab in the admin console. Also while you’re there, try to manually update NTP, does that run or error out? Paul
  8. You should reboot your ISY as the internet IP address changed, and potentially your local internal NAT address & subnet May have changed. Rebooting the ISY will force it to request a new internal address. You can use the restart from the admin console, or unplug it, wait 10 seconds and plug back in Paul
  9. Larry Its mounted on a punch out, connected to a double pole double throw breaker. Paul
  10. I've had the 20 year old version of this. Still works, leds for both leg still lit. Very few problems in a lightening strike rich environment. Paul
  11. paulbates replied to GQuack's topic in ISY994
You do not have to use the red wire on insteon switches. Cap 'em off and you're good to go. Paul
  12. FWIW.. if you use polyglot cloud via the portal, you don’t need a local server... and vice versa... portal isn’t needed to support a local polyglot server Paul
  13. I believe @Michel Kohanim would help you reset that for you so you could try the trial Paul
  14. @kwb007 Here's one more I forgot about till now. Read this whole thread (its not that long), it documents how to have the ISY test if the ezflora failed and send you an alert Paul
  15. @kwb007 Thanks for sharing your results and glad it worked out! Paul
  16. One thing that happened to me with my GDO in the random department. It took a long time to narrow down that it was happening with the attic dampers. Somehow, I had dragged the iolinc relay for the GDO into the scene for the keypad keys and the damper control iolinc. So the suggestion is to look at scenes that control lighting or anything else that runs after sunup and controls a scene that accidentally got the iolinc relay added Paul
  17. Hi SK As written, it will only execute once. The From/To construct is designed to be used with other logic in the if, example adding this: And Garage light is switched on. That would cause the program to only run in the time boundaries when the garage light is turned on Paul
  18. Yeh that's the downside... the guidance from the link is simple but rooting through programs can be problematic. Also, one last one... if multiple programs kick off from the same event (if .... then)... (or at the same time for other reasons), and those programs control insteon devices.. same effect. Its common for all roads to lead to wireless sensors,, open close and particularly motion sensors. Motions are problematic because, depending how they are configured, they continue to send commands as people/pets move around and motion is sensed in an area. If they are "control" in programs, and those programs control insteon lights, insteon commands and acknowledgements are sent again, and again. Paul
  19. You're welcome, I hope you get it figured out. FWIW its worth I do have programs using control in the IF, where the device referenced is a controller, but there is at least 5 seconds before any insteon comand is sent. Also, creating scenes and using them in programs to control multiple devices is generally preferred over back to back set device on/off commands in ISY programs... both aesthetically and operationally. Back to back insteon commands in ISY programs can also cause collisions Paul
  20. There is this guidance on preventative measures for this problem https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON_Random_All_On_Events Paul
  21. They would probably need to be nearby too. To the day job point, what happens if it breaks? Also, 4 and 5 are vaporous requirements. What really needs to get done there? Network resources are one-way, outbound... so specific capabilities of the related components and already having skills would be important... or would be some trial and error to get it to work... or maybe not possible after x hours of trying Paul
  22. A suggestion is to disable those programs and see if the problem goes away. Its more than coincidental that its happening at exactly the same time Paul
  23. Ok. If I'm reading the log right, the source for the ons is a program or programs.. log column second from the right. Are there other programs associated with that lamp? Paul
  24. Glad you're working! Ugh. My guess is whoever picked looked and thought, "that'll do". The branding messaging on these is confusing and frustrating Paul
  25. It’d be more like security cameras and ddos attacks a few years ago; a security model is not in the $5 product’s development budget. Some kind of OS is in there, what was involved in securing it?
