I've got one main and two sub nodes now and they appear as program control for Ding and Motion. I''ll try out this weekend. Thanks for the assistance.

Okay I've got two Nodes and the device is a Ring Doorbell Pro name Front Door. The nodes are Front Door and Front Door Motion. Does that sound right? Don't have time to look at programs and see if they have support for ringing the bell and motion being detected but it sound reasonable they would. Thanks

I've done this twice and still no nodes. Should I delete and add to slot 4?

The node server added Ring in slot 3. There are no nodes in device listing. Do I add each desired node (doorbell, Doorbell Ding, Doorbell Motion) including giving them a node and primary node address? If so is there a naming convention for these nodes? Do you still need log

Okay it just worked. There were different boxes when I clicked on configuration and then the large blue band displayed with click here displayed. It never got to this point in multiple attempts before. Looks to be working

It’s says provisioning node and it may take several minutes. Nothing happens so I stop and start node and get the messages in the right hand corner about them being successful but the log has no entries.

I'm attempting to install the Ring Polyglot Cloud nodeserver. It installs in slot 3 in console and on ISY as expected but it never asks for the Ring credentials to make the connection. What simple step am I missing?

Yes, it is one of my favorite ISY features. You: Add the new keypad of same kind number of buttons and dimmer / switch Move broken one out of any folder Click on broken one and select replace Pick the one just added ISY will update itself and all scene member ships and programs internally with the new Insteon ID I have had to restore other devices in the scenes on occasion to get links back it sync.

Thanks I’ll use it. I was planning to move from 4.7.3 to 5.0.15 this weekend but see the only zwave devices I have (Schlage deadbolts) may have issues. Waiting to see if it’s sorted out.

Thanks. I’ve easy access from attic with ability to run wire for needed transformers. Do you like any specific brands of LED strips?

Fantastic. I would have gone the wrong way on the install think the tape would hold. Do you suggest any particular LED strip brands?

I’m looking to put a very thin LED tape above crown molding around theater room. Molding is not up so I can leave needed gap. Looking to do both side walks that are about 25 ft. Suggestions?

Just in case... Isn’t X10 an add on module to ISY? Is it enabled? Guessing yes if you can include it in a program.

If you’re inclined to add a RPi to your system, either ISYLink or NodeLink depending on version of ISY FW. They update variables for month and day.

I recall seeing a topic about getting climate value as in rain today into a variable. The method used the rest interface to loopback ip address 127.0.0.1 and a port (can' t remember it). Can't locate post now and think it may have even been in the wiki. Did I dream this? Don't want to waste bunch of time it others know this is not possible. Oh, I'm using 4.7.3 making my way to 5.0.1x. but want to do this now if possible.

The experts will need to confirm but I recall having issues with KPL buttons controlling the load in that same switch. I’ll look but I think I created a work around. Does the Chill scene work?

So for the All scene, all three A buttons are set as controllers for the scene?

6 or 8 button KPL? My real question is does A button control the load for that switch and act as controller for All scene? 8 button KPL Or does A control only the All scene which includes the on button for that switch. 6 button KPL.

Thanks. Not gonna much more time on it but what other components would you look at? Since it does exact same behavior before and after recap (plug in and short pulse at the led but no communications) I’m going to rule out damaged trace.

[mention=2200]Brian H[/mention] I’ve still got 4 from original install. Must have been bought at different times. V1.2 and V1.4 have larger standard looking transformer with a daughter board on top and they work fine. Put off a little heat as expected. 2 x V2.B both were dead so I recapped 5 positions on each. Completely different design with no transformer so Switching power supply right? Caps revived both. Did the tap work to make sure they saw each other and they did. Gonna likely buy 4 on off modules during next SH sale and get rid of them. Fixing them just gave me an electronic tinkering fix since I’ve got an ioLinc I can’t coax back to life. House full of dual band lamplincs and switches installed as replacements when the original wireline only versions failed so the APs probably not needed. Again, just needed to fix something. Lol
