every zone connected to my main board have a physical status of "EOL". are these zones with a "Physical status" of "unconfigured" a real problem?

any word on when this will be available and how to get it?

okay. I figured out one problem. I had the "access" box checked and this was blocking it... but with that fixed, I can use the isy to arm or disarm the system. I also cannot use it to change the chime mode. it is as though there is only information coming from the Elk to Polisy, but Polisy cannot tell Elk anything. yes, I'm using the non-secure port. yes, I believe my configuration is set up correctly in PG3(x)... because it does receive data from Elk. I will attach my error log, if I can. OKAY, I FIGURED IT OUT FULLY. FOR OTHERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS: -don't check the "access" box for the user code that PG3(x) uses. -you must have the RP2 software "disconnected" for PG3(s) to connect to it.

hello: although the "query" button in the admin console DOES work. the "away" button does not do anything. I have my ST-Nuheat nodeserver set up to control my new NuHeat Floor Thermostat when I access the thermostat from their app, there is no "away" mode so I suspect that this may be the reason why the "away" button doesn't work. I guess I'll just have to change the floor setpoint and put it on "permanent" for my "away" setting, so to speak.

I have everything all set up but I cannot get any of the buttons in the Admin Console to do anything to the elk. Any suggestions? I have the user code all set up.

@Panda88 are you going to be able to fix the Tesla Nodeserver sometime soon? I can of rely on it to some extent. 🤓

Okay, Thank you. I got my Elk M1 up and running. I will plan on using alarmrelay for monitoring. I appreciate the help @Scottmichaelj from Alpha Concepts.

@DennisC with your help, i figured it out. I'll post how i did it so it may help someone else in the future: I had to go into the "M1XEP Setup" button and click the "enable non-secure port" and then set the port settings to 2101 (as DennisC suggested):😃

I did as you asked. here is the debug info. I can't really see anything that jumps out at me, so I hope you (or someone) can make a suggestion for me. (I deleted the debug info because it was a waste of bandwidth. :))

I started up the trial version of the Elk PG3 Nodeserver and got it configured. it shows up in the UD in PolISY but there are no zones. I only have the "Elk Controller" node that provides this info: what do i need to do to get the zones and other information/options?

when I go to virtualalarm.com, it looks like it is only a service for dealers or other alarm monitoring companies. where do i look for service for 9.95 a month?

I’ve got my Elk M1 Gold system up and running, now I need help getting it connected to my phone and my PolISY. 1) phone app: I see four apps that seem like they will work. They all are called “ekeypad “. One even costs $140. (I’ve never seen a that costs more than $20.) are there other apps? What do you guys recommend for an app that doesn’t have recurring fees? also: to connect the Elk Nodeserver to the Elk, is it as simple as having a login to the Elk-RP2 system and using that to log in to the PG3? alright fellows!!! I have my new M1Gold system set up. I think i have it programmed, to some extent. i have a few questions for anyone that may wish to assist me: 1) what is my next step in getting it connected to the PolISY? do i just buy the nodeserver and set that up? 2) does anyone have suggestions for monitoring? 3) can an alarm system just be programmed to call 911 itself to bypass a monitoring system? (I think not, but I'd like to hear what you have to say about this.)

okay, based upon quite a bit of reading online and recommendations in this thread, i've decided to go with the Elk M1 system. I am going to try to use as much of my old system (wiring and sensors, etc). i'm going to install it myself. it should be fun. 1) Does anyone have a recommendation for a seller of Elk products who can be helpful when I get to a tough spot? 2) I've read that Elk owners can be helpful through a forum but couldn't find the forum. can anyone point me to that?

@elvisimprsntr I have a couple of comments and questions: Im wanting full integration with ISY and I understand (from you) that the M1 Gold will do that. I don't want to buy a system that will stop being supported soon if it has been around for 15 years but i absolutely don't want a recurring extortion fee. is there a way to get the E27 to work with ISY without a fee?

I have a GE alarm system and I'd like to try to hook it up to an envisalink System. what do I need to buy?

how can you use alexa to bridge between smartthings and polisy?

I have a few questions. what will the UD matter device do? And how soon are we hopeful to get it? id prefer to just use the motion sensor (and more importantly the wired glass break sensors and door opening sensors) from my old alarm. Will your solution allow me to do that?

are there some more rudimentary instructions available to help me set up this nodeserver? how does it work? do i have to have a Raspberry Pi running, and if so, what are the instructions for setting up that?

I use alexa to control my Polisy, but I am not familiar with how to get things connected from "Smartthings" to my Polisy. is this reliable?

I have an old GE Networx NX-8V2 alarm system that I'd like to have improved functionality. it works but in a 1990 level of function. here is what I want, in order of preference: -no monthly fee to run the system (although i suspect, i may need to consider a monthly fee to monitor it). -have ability for ISY to set and unset the alarm. -have ability to have ISY get data from the alarm system when (monitored) doors open and when motion sensors trigger. -connection to my phone via an app, if possible. I think i'd prefer to have a plug and play raspberry Pi option, if possible. I suspect that replacing the whole system will be a very expensive option, but I'd still consider it. I appreciate any comments.

For me: a once a month email that lists any new node servers, if any. Not new versions, just new node servers and some detail as to what they do for what device(s)?

that helps some, but clicking "modified" lists the most recently modifed nodeservers. I'd like to just have a list of the newest ones... or an email each time one goes into the production store, if possible.

As of now, i occasionally read through the nodeservers and see if any sound new. is there any way to get notified when new ones are released or to arrange them by date or release?
