  1. A reboot and a restart sounds like the same thing. maybe a reboot is like a power cycle and a restart just stops all of the software and restarts it?
  2. in the following: what is TPM? I can't find it mentioned anywhere in this forum. what is the difference between "Reboot" and "Restart IoX"?
  3. @DennisC: yes, I used this "update" button and it worked. this is great. Thank you for the help! My initial reluctance to use this button is that it is in the "purchase" column. the above photo makes it look like it'll cost me $10 or that I'm updating payment for the nodeserver.
  4. what is the easiest way to upgrade my version of a single nodeserver? (I hope it isn't to click "upgrade packages" in the admin console.)
  5. I have a nodeserver (Rachio) that has one nodes and data in PG3x but none of the data is in ISY (Polisy). I’m on latest software, by the way. I tried deleting the nodes inside of the admin console but now I can’t get them to come back. I think I’ve been through this with other nodes and I think I know what to do but I’d like to ask here: 1) what do I need to do to get the notes back and working in ISY? 2) was there a better way to fix these blank data nodes than deleting the nodes in the admin console?
  6. I cannot find a way to "reboot" the PG3x, how do I do so?
  7. I would like to use my ISY to put my Ecobee thermostats in vacation mode. this appears like it should work with this program: I have also found that using this button to put the thermostat in vacation mode doesn't work, either (in the main tab of the Administrative Console). I've tried using this button with and without the "hold indefinite" and it still doesn't work. the unit will not change the mode to "vacation" no matter what I do. I was able to use the Ecobee app to put my units in "vacation" mode and this shows up in the admin console as "vacation" for two of my three thermostats.
  8. What is the "ISY Portal" nodeserver for? no, I do not have another PG3 running. I had this one installed in PG2 and now my PG2 is gone because I upgraded to PG3x.
  9. how could I remove these two nodeservers?
  10. I see all of these thread topics about IoX, 3.1.23, 5.6.2 etc. which PG3 am I on? also: on the different posts where the versions are announced, could you tell (remind) us how to update to that version? (as an example, in this thread: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/41545-pg3x-version-3135-3136-july-11-2023/ it tells me to upgrade to 3.1.36 but I am only on 3.1.23 and I can't figure out how to get to 36.)
  11. I got a little further after connecting my thermostat from the "mytotalconnect" account into my "resideo" account and then got this error: @dwengrovitzI'm using a visionpro 8000 wifi thermostat. anyone: where would anyone suggest that I try to get support from Honeywell or from the maker of the Nodeserver?
  12. I am following the instructions and I cannot get past this error (as noted above). when i get to the honeywell home part and click "allow", it says: Please use an account with one or more devices installed I have my thermostat installed. any suggestions?
  13. @DennisC: THANK YOU!!! I'm on 5.5.6 how do I upgrade? I don't see anything that looks familiar to upgrade my firmware.
  14. I figured it was the power supply going bad, so I bought a new one and it still reboots about once week or two. any suggestions? should I open a ticket? or do you think an error log could help me (us) figure out why it is rebooting?
  15. I left the car at the airport for 7 days and when I left the car, it had 178 miles on the battery. when I came back after 7 days, it had 55 miles on it. My cabin overheat protection setting is turned off. my settings on my polyglot are: short poll: 30 long poll: 86400 any suggestions?
  16. when i park my car at the airport, my battery seems to go down fairly quickly. I was thinking that it was because my Node Server is keeping the car "awake" often. is this the case? if so, what could I do to stop it from waking my car up (and wasting battery)? turn off the Node Server when I am parked at the airport? or tweak the settings of the Node Server?
  17. I did a search for qolsys and found a few hits but nothing conclusive. Does anyone have any experience with this alarm system? My alarm guy wants to replace my antiquated system with this qolsys iq4 system. Is the elk better? Isn’t it fully integrated with a Node Server? Should I ask him if he can do that? I appreciate any comments.
  18. @xgfreon on the advice of my ticket, I bought an adapter from Amazon and flash a new disc image. Then load up my backups onto it. don’t forget to click “upgrade packages”. And when you do, make sure you wait for the beeps until you do anything major or you’ll brick it (again).
  19. for what it's worth: I was wondering this same thing. after reading this, I went to the Admin Console "configuration" tab, under "Polisy System Settings" and clicked "reboot" and it definitely rebooted the ISY and it seemed to have rebooted the PG3, although I cannot confirm this for sure.
  20. @elvisimprsntr I agree that recurring subscription fees are to be avoided as much as possible. I'm trying to figure out a workaround for my garage door that doesn't require anything more than a one-time fee for the Node Server. anyone have any suggestions?
  21. it appears that some connectivity of MyQ requires a $10 per month subscription. this MyQ PG3 Node Server also requires a $12.95 per year subscription fee. does the PG3 Node Server require the Chamberlain MyQ subscription to work? https://decortweaks.com/does-chamberlain-myq-require-a-subscription/
  22. are there any other "limits" that I should know about? I have 256 nodes and 40 scenes and 151 insteon. are any of those concerning for my IoP?
  23. @bpwwer yes! thank you for the help. this was the solution!
