Can I use an on/off module plugged into an on/off outlet (and control them independently)? Does this work or does the signal become too degraded to operate the on/off module after it's gone through the on/off outlet? I want to have two devices plugged into the bottom of the outlet. I would use a splitter to get these two devices on the bottom outlet. I would then plug in the on/off module on one side of the split to be able to toggle that device on and off. The other side of the split I would plug in a device I want to be always on. I would leave the bottom outlet always on (via the on/off outlet). I then want the third device (plugged into the top outlet) to be controllable (on or off) via controlling the outlet itself. Would this work? Any other better ideas?

Yes, I understand that but how do you initiate this in the batch file? In Tasker I use the HTTP Get with the following: http://username:password@IP:port/rest/programs/programID/runThen I can't run this same thing from the command line/batch file, it doesn't work. Could someone provide example text for a batch file?
-
I know the program ID but how exactly is it done? Could someone provide an example?

Is it possible to run programs using the REST from a windows batch file? I've got Tasker working on my Android phone using REST to run several programs so I know the basic setup for it, but I don't know how to do it from a batch file on Windows 7 64-bit. If it's possible could someone point me in the right direction or is it pretty complicated?

Awesome thanks, and yes, this is my intent. Sorry if I wasn't more clear in my original post. Hmm, I don't really understand this. My KPL is white and the buttons are white (I think). Do you mean the text on the buttons or are you referring to something else (the light/transparency of the button)? Green!?! I don't see green on my current KPL, although I am a little red/green color blind so....maybe that's my problem. If I were to order these custom buttons I would order them in white which is the original KPL color.
-
So, I know these are crazy expensive now, but I was considering getting some anyway if my hopes are correct.... I have two 6-button KPL's that I want to replace all the small buttons (8 total) with custom buttons. I want to keep the large two buttons on each KPL standard, "On" and "Off". I'm hoping I can purchase one custom etched 8-button KPL set and use them on my two 6-button KPL's? Is this possible? If so then I could essentially get two KPL custom button sets for $25 each. Not TOOOO bad (still pretty extravagant). At least not $50 each.

I don't know. I've found this: http://developer.lgappstv.com/TV_HELP/index.jsp?topic=%2Flge.tvsdk.developing.book%2Fhtml%2FAPI%2FAPI%2FWeb+API+Overview.htm I'm not good enough to understand if that's even the right thing. I've been able to figure out basic things with the network module such as how to control my Sonos system with my ISY but I'm not advanced enough to figure it out myself. I need a working example I can tweak to for my uses. Any help would be great, thanks!

I’d like to be able to control a LG TV using my ISY. Turn on/off, open Netflix app on TV, etc. Is this possible? If so, I presume it’s done via REST commands? Could someone point me in the right direction to figuring this out/describing what can be done (if anything)? I’ve got a LG Smart TV model 55LB7200. I currently have it hardwired into my network and wireless turned off.

That's what I thought but wanted to check to make sure I didn't miss something. Thanks!

Trying to figure out if this can be done with scenes only and no programs. I have two separate lights and a keypad. I would like both the upper lights and the vanity lights to be connected to the “c” button on the keypad so when either light turns on, the “c” turns on. I also want only the upper lights to turn on if I turn on the lights from the “c” button. My problem is if both lights are on and I turn off the vanity lights I want “c” to stay on because the upper lights are still on (and vice versa). Is this possible only with scenes and no programs (or scene adjusts)? I can only think of the following: Scene 1 Upper lights (controller), Keypad C (responder) Scene 2 Vanity lights (controller), Keypad C (responder) Scene 3 Keypad C (controller), Upper light (responder set at 100% on level), Vanity light (responder set at 0% on level) Again the problem is when both lights are on, if you turn one light off, the “c” button goes off and the other light is still on. Is there a way around this I can’t think of?

So I think what you're looking for is something like this: GR Spots adjust scene - [ID 00D7][Parent 0028] If From 9:00:00PM To Sunrise + 9 seconds (next day) Then In Scene 'Great Room / Great Room Devices / GR Spots KPL (DB) - A Spots' Set 'Great Room / Great Room Devices / GR Spots' 31% (On Level) Else In Scene 'Great Room / Great Room Devices / GR Spots KPL (DB) - A Spots' Set 'Great Room / Great Room Devices / GR Spots' 100% (On Level)

How much time between scene and device actions? What about time between network resources call outs?
-
Trying to figure out how many of you use a "wait" time of any duration between actions in one program. For instance, a program that changes the values of several variables and changes the temperature of a thermostat and maybe turns on some lights all in one program. Do you just string the actions together or do you put a wait time of 1-2 seconds between each action or do you put a wait time only between certain types of actions such as after the temperature adjust but not after variable value changes or light changes. Thoughts?

On mine you can set a schedule record with audio. Foscam FI9821EP System Firmware Version: 1.5.2.11 Application Firmware Version: 2.21.1.143 Plug-In Version: 3.1.0.10

THANK YOU!!! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'd scoured the internet and just couldn't find that. Where did you get this from? Do you have a version of the CGI manual that I don't have? If so could you post a link to it? I've got Ver.1.0.4 and Ver.1.0.8, neither of which shows what you gave me.

I was able to figure out how to get the Schedule Recording to work by using /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=setScheduleRecordConfig&isEnable=1 But now I'm trying to figure out how to turn the audio on along with the schedule recording. I've tried, &audio=1 and &audiorecord=1 but neither of these worked. Anyone?
-
I didn't think it made much difference as I thought most of the commands were pretty universal but in case they're not I've got the following: Foscam FI9821EP (PoE - Power Over Ethernet)
-
Thanks, I found that as well but it doesn't actually have an answer. I had the same question as the original poster but it looks like the person responding didn't understand the question. I'll keep Googling.

Wasn't sure where to post this. I have the "Foscam IP Camera CGI User Guide" and have been using it along with the network module to accomplish certain things on my Foscam IP camera. I've pretty much figured out how to do it and it works. What I don't see though is anything in the IP camera user guide on how to start and/or stop recording (manually or not via an alarm) or set schedule recording. Am I missing something? Does anyone have any ideas or can point me in the right direction? My intent is to enable the schedule recording when I am away. Therefore I'd like to be able to send a command to enable the scheduled recording when I activate my Away program on my ISY and disable the scheduled recording when I come home and turn off my Away program.

Is there an open/close sensor that would work for outdoor use? I would like to install one on the side gate of our house so it would need to be somewhat weather resistant.

Haven't upgraded the firmware to 4.2.30 due to issues with mini remotes.
-
Seems starnge huh? I tried it several times and it didn't work. Firmware 4.2.18, UI 4.2.30. I've changed up the programming to make what I want to work so in the end this isn't a big problem. Thanks for the help.
