Nope, I don't have any conditions on any folders.

Maybe someone could help me out. Here's my program. HallLightsTimer - [ID 0363][Parent 0048] If Control 'Hallway / HallwayBed4WayLights' is switched On Or Control 'Hallway / HallwayEntry4WayLights' is switched On Or Control 'Hallway / HallwayGarage4WayKeypad' is switched On Or Control 'Hallway / HallwayMaster4WayLights' is switched On Then Wait 15 minutes Set Scene 'Hallway / HallwayLights' Fade Down Wait 7 seconds Set Scene 'Hallway / HallwayLights' Fade Stop Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') These four switches are a part of one scene with the scene on level set at 50%. When I turn on the hallway lights using one of the switches it seems as if the program runs and then stops instantly. When I look at the summary tab in the programs it says "Status" True and "Last Run Time" 9:09:50pm and "Last Finish Time" 9:09:50pm. Here is the level 3 when I turned on the lights (if this helps). I have no idea what all this in the level 3 means. I decided to replace/return the one hidden door sensor that was triggering an open command twice each time the door was opened once in hopes that it was just a defective product. I got its replacement last night and I swapped it out in all my programs and this morning...sure enough...opened the door and got two open signals....again. Another defect or something else wrong with the new hidden door sensors firmware and the ISY? I have 5 hidden door sensors (2845-222). 2 of them are new (v.44) and were purchased last month. The other 3 are older (v.43). Only one of the newer ones seems to be producing the multiple signals (I'll need to look into this further to make sure that's correct, but I found one log entry for the other new device and it only produced one open signal). I'm not at home right now so I can't find out the hardware version. The newer one that is NOT sending multiple signals is 0615 V1.4 (I know this from one of my previous posts).

Does it matter? This program should still only send one alert when it is opened, shouldn't it? BackDoorOpened - [ID 020E][Parent 006A] If Control 'DoorSensors / BackDoor / BackDoorOpen' is switched On Then Send Notification to 'ISY Alert E-Mail' content 'BackDoorOpened' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') This sensor doesn't really need to use two nodes but it is in two node mode. My other sensors do need to use two nodes (turns lights on when door opens and leaves them on when it closes) and I have the same notify setup on those other sensors and I only get one notification.

Huh, you know now that you mention it I just noticed this morning I had one of my other hidden door sensors do the same thing, send two messages, 3 seconds apart.
-
Not sure if it's worth mentioning but I have a program that sends me a notification twice as well. I have a program to send me a notification when my Insteon 2441TH thermostat calls for cooling. When it the does I get two notifications, one right after the other. Never been able to figure out why.
-
This what you were looking for? ISY Firmware 4.2.18 ISY UI 4.2.18 Hidden Door Sensor 2845-222 v.44 (I presume this is the firmware version) 0615 V1.4 (I presume this is the hardware version and the 0615 is 6/15, the date of manufacture as I bought it end of July) See attached. Edit to add - Oh, you were looking for Door Sensors, not Hidden Door Sensors. Oh well.
-
I just noticed the same thing with my 2441TH (receiving humidity updates every 20-40 seconds). Is there any more on this subject or is it a defective unit?
-
Did a search but WAY too much came up. How and what do you log form you Insteon system? Using email/notification I've set up some actions to be logged to a webpage using the web server on the ISY. I log when some programs run such as when the HVAC turns on or the hot water recirculation pump turns on, when certain doors open, etc. I do this by having each program I want to monitor having its own "notify" email (post to web server) made specifically for that action. Most of my logging is more for curiosity of when and how often things happen around the house. I’m sure the way I’m doing it isn’t the best way. What do you log and how? I read somewhere someone mention they have a log in excel. How do you do that automatically? Do you log every device in your house, when each light is turned on or off or only larger/big picture things like energy usage?
-
Mine looks very similar to yours. I too use a time range.
-
Nope. Factory reset it initially and haven't touched it since. Also, this problem occurs on different days and at different times and has never been on the same day or time. Edit to add: Sometimes I set the temps to 82 and 65 (essentially off) at other times during the day too, such as when the back door is left open (using door sensor). When the door is closed again it runs the program to set the temps back to where they were originally, 76 and 72. Sometimes I have this problem of the cooling reverting back to 82 then as well.
-
At night I have my thermostat cooling turn to 82 degrees and heating to 65 degrees (essentially, off) in one area of the house (I have two zones). In the morning it turns the cooling to 76 degrees and heating to 72 degrees. All of this is done using programs. It had been working flawlessly for a while but recently every few days, in the morning after it changes both the cooling and heating to 76 and 72 respectively, a few minutes later (usually about 3 minutes later) the cooling changes back to 82 degrees. The heating stays the same. There is only one program that changes the cooling to 82 degrees and in that same program it changes the heating to 65 so I know the program isn’t being triggered somehow as the heating value doesn’t change. What would cause the cooling set point to change randomly and why always back to 82 degrees? I haven’t added anything new in the house that would cause communication problems. I’m using an Insteon thermostat 2441TH.
-
What are the built-in substitution variables available in the ISY? I’ve read the wiki page on email substitution variables which show ELK, weather and device variable options but what about others that are available but not mentioned in the wiki? I know of ${alert.time12} and ${alert.date} but that’s it. Are there others? ${alert.date} gives the format YYYY/MM/DD. Is there another alert.date variable that will give just the month or just the day or the same info but in another format?
-
Did I understand correctly that there may be problems with powering up the ISY before the PLM?
-
I bought a small UPS thinking I would use it for my modem, router, switch and ISY (using a filter of course) then I started thinking....I've read people saying you want to power up the PLM before the ISY otherwise there usually are problems. If I put the ISY on the UPS then during a power failure the ISY would stay on but the PLM wouldn't as it's plugged directly into the outlet on the wall. When power returns the PLM would be powering up after the ISY. Should I put the ISY on the UPS or just leave it off to prevent the out of sequence powering up? Also, is it ok to plug the PLM into the non-filtered outlet on the filter or is there some signal loss doing it this way?

I have almost the same exit task on my wifes phone and on hers it only has a 10 second delay and hers runs fine every time. I wonder if there is something with my HTC One M8 that makes a difference. I'll have to keep trying different delays to see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the help.
-
Hmm, I already have a 30 second delay before triggering the HTTP GET command. Then if it fails (returns -1) I wait another 30 seconds and try again. I tried it today and it still didn't work. When I run the task manually afterwards it seems to work. Maybe I need to wait even longer than the initial 30 seconds and then another 30 seconds? Although that seems like a long time (1 minute) for the phone to establish the cellular connection properly, doesn't it?
-
I'm having a problem with connecting to the ISY via REST as well. I'm running Tasker with as exit task when I disconnect from my home wifi connection. In this exit task is an HTTP GET. Every time it runs automatically it seems to give me an error, unknown host. What exactly does that mean? When I run it manually afterwards it runs fine. When I run it while I'm on my network it runs fine (using local IP address rather than dyndns.org address) Below is a portion of the TASKER log file showing unknown host error. I've tried to have it run a second time in the exit task but it gives me an error again. It runs the second time after a 30 second wait when the first response (%HTTPR) is not = 200 (e.g. is equal to -1). The first run is after a 30 wait as well. This is because I figured maybe the error was because it was running too soon after disconnecting from my home network. I thought the 30 second wait would give enough time to properly connect to the cellular network. I have a very similar exit task on my wife's phone and it seems to run ok each time. Here's a short hand of the exit task: wifi off change a variable wait 30 seconds change another variable clear a variable Run HTTP GET set variable %RESP to response from HTTP GET (%HTTPR) wait 30 seconds if %RESP = -1 Run HTTP GET again if %RESP = -1 run some other non-related stuff, change more variables turn on bluetooth, etc. Here's a portion of the run log (I've removed sensitive information below such as dyndns, port, username and password): 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: execute task: Insteon Away2 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: exe: Insteon Away2 / HTTP Get [ Server:Port:http://username:password@xxxxx.dyndns.org:port Path:/rest/programs/0023/run Attributes: Cookies: User Agent: Timeout:20 Mime Type: Output File: Trust Any Certificate:Off Continue Task After Error:On ] 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: prot: http:// serverport: xxxxx.dyndns.org:port contenttype: 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: method: GET url: http://xxxxx.dyndns.org:port/rest/programs/0023/run timout: 20000 dataisfile false save null 24-06-2015 WakeLockManager: 06.04.21#WakeLockManager: setClearAlarm: not setting, last set 223 ago 24-06-2015 WakeLockManager: 06.04.21#WakeLockManager: setClearAlarm: not setting, last set 236 ago 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: body isfile: false cont: null 24-06-2015 Variables: 06.04.21#Variables: doreplresult: |%LOCK| -> |%LOCK| 24-06-2015 Variables: 06.04.21#Variables: doreplresult: |%EMERG| -> |%EMERG| 24-06-2015 Variables: 06.04.21#Variables: doreplresult: |%APPLOCK| -> |Yes| 24-06-2015 State: 06.04.21#State: checkMatch: code 165: false -> true 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: sig context change: checkMatchStates: pid: 95 cType: 5 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: sig context change pid: 95 cType: 5 enabled: true active: true 24-06-2015 Variables: 06.04.21#Variables: doreplresult: |%ATWORK| -> |No| 24-06-2015 Variables: 06.04.21#Variables: doreplresult: |%VIBRATE| -> |Off| 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: checkMatchStates: have change set size 1 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: handleProfileChanges 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: Unknown Host in http://xxxxx.dyndns.org:port/rest/programs/0023/run. 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: result: stop task (error) 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: action doesn't want stop on error 24-06-2015 E: 06.04.21#E: result: ok (ignore wait) 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: handle monitor changes 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: update flags (handleMonitorChanges) 24-06-2015 M: 06.04.21#M: clear flags (updateFlags this is on my HTC One M8 running Lollipop 5.0.1 Tasker version 4.7u1m

The portion of text after "What this means..." is not my words. It's directly from the Wiki. All of that is in one big set of quotes.
-
I did not know that. Thanks!
-
From the ISY Wiki "A series of statements within a Then clause (or within an Else clause), up to the next Wait or Repeat statement, are atomic. In other words, all such statements are executed before the conditions of the program are retested. The program's conditions are reevaluated each time a Wait or Repeat statement is encountered, and at the end of each iteration of a Repeat loop. What this means is that if a program's Then clause changes a condition which causes the program's overall condition to become false (or if the program's Else clause changes a condition which causes the program's overall condition to become true), the current atomic statement group will complete, and at that point execution will transfer from the Then clause (or the Elseclause) to the Else clause (or the Then clause)." Maybe it's because your "Else" path wasn't what change the "If" condition. Maybe that's why it ran the entire thing? However be careful in the future because the "Then" path may stop after "wait" commands due to the following mentioned above.

Does all that matter? I thought after a wait command the "If" statement is re-evaluated. In this case the "Then" path starts at 6:00am as it should. After the 5 minute wait the "If" is re-evaluated and found to be false because it is no longer 6:00am and then "Else" path is then run (the "Then" path does not continue). To get around this you should put the "Then" path in it's own program with no "If" statement. In the original program's "then" path, call for a Run (Then Path) of the new program. If $Vacation is 1 And Time is 6:00:00AM Then Run New Program (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Wait 5 minutes (Random) Set 'Upstairs / Master Bath main' On Wait 2 minutes (Random) Set 'Upstairs / Guest bathroom' On Wait 2 minutes (Random) Set 'Upstairs / Master Bath main' Off Wait 20 seconds (Random) Set Scene '3-way main stairs' On Wait 30 seconds (Random) Run Program 'Morning lights' (Then Path) Wait 1 minute (Random) Set 'Upstairs / Guest bathroom' Off Wait 2 minutes (Random) Set Scene '3-way main stairs' Off Wait 1 minute (Random) Set Scene 'Dim downstairs' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
