  1. Are you using scenes, programs or both? If both, then which for which?
  2. Yes, it will. You'll need a more sophisticated program that either won't run if the light is already on or will run only when the light is off.
  3. If the motion sensor is placed where it detects you leaving, then you can't enter without setting off the motion sensor. A motion sensor does not respond to lack motion. The sensor cannot predict when motion will occur.
  4. Set the motion sensor options to send an On only. Program If Control 'Motion Sensor' is switched On Then Set 'scene with light' On Wait x hours, y minutes, z seconds Set 'scene with light' Off
  5. A particular Motion Sensor won't know in advance when you're about to leave (or not), so you'd probably need a few around the house. And the door sensor is not aware of which direction you're going BTW, I used a KPL button near each entry.
  6. Using the properties of the MS results in a quicker response. A program makes it easy to change the on duration.
  7. And you could fade devices in your scene, as Michel suggested.
  8. A scene brightness level could be detrimental. For example. several of my scenes include turning some devices off. If I want to change the brightness of the on devices up, then the off devices would no longer be off.
  9. You're correct. It's single tapping on a secondary that's on, but not at 100% that doesn't bring the load full on as does single tapping on the primary device when the load is partially on.
  10. Info only: in any virtual multi-way configuration, double-tapping a slave device will not affect the load. Double-tapping has an effect on the local (wired) load only. The same is true for a second tap if the load is already on, but not at 100%, only the local load goes to full on.
  11. If Control 'KeypadA' is switched On Then Set '15-minute Scene with 2477S with ButtonA' On Wait 15 minutes Set '15-minute Scene with 2477S' with ButtonA' Off 15-minute scene has Button A as a controller and the 2477S as a responder. Repeat for a 45-minute scene.
  12. Power bar? Surge suppressor or power strip? The former will inhibit Insteon signaling.
  13. Try setting to connected load to Off.
  14. There are three toggle modes: Toggle is simply push-on:push-off. The other two modes, non-toggle On and non-toggle Off sends an On or sends an Off, respectively, with every push.
  15. The first program may not have a trigger. Control requires manually issuing the command. Status requires that something changes the state of the device. If Control 'Inside / Living_Room / Devices / LR_Keypad / LR_Keypad- D' is not switched Fast On And Status 'Inside / Living_Room / Devices / LR_Keypad / LR_Keypad- D' is not Off And (Status or Control, choose one) 'Inside / Living_Room / Devices / LR_Keypad / LR_Keypad- D' is On
  16. Great job, thanks. A suggested instruction: be careful removing the label to avoid scratching the plastic. You know how I know BTW, I'm a Word Perfect person, but keep a copy of Word for excellent work such as yours. Thanks, again.
  17. Program ABC Then Run 'ABC'
  18. Then Wait 20 seconds Set keypad button scene on
  19. Both the Venstar and Insteon thermostats work well with the ISY. The Venstar has a few more features, but we prefer the looks of the Insteon. The thermostats are controlled by Remotelincs allowing us to control zones from anywhere in the house. Some ceiling fans are controlled by the thermostats. I use both scenes and programs.
  20. A KPL button can be both a controller and a responder. Press and hold the button to dim or brighten. Press and hold again to reverse the direction.
  21. If you're starting new, then you can specify what you want. I chose a Carrier compressor and furnace, Honeywell zone panel and Totaline thermostats which were replaced with Venstar thermostats which were replaced with Insteon thermostats. Thirteen years and counting
  22. You don't need a Fan Off scene for the Mini remote. Pressing any off button will turn the scene, and thus the fan, off.
  23. If the Mini Remote button is a controller of the scene, then the corresponding KPL button will illuminate whenever you press a remote On button.
  24. Button A as a controller for the light scene Button B, C, and D as controllers of the fan, one button for each speed.
