  1. Along with adjusting the 2420M Dusk/Dawn light level, programs such as offered in the UDI Wiki allow transient light level changes to be ignored. Please refer to this Wiki Article.
  2. Tim, Some weather stations may submit only limited weather data, depending on their capability. Also, for those of us submitting data to Weatherbug, they limit the data that they accept from certain Backyard stations, for example, they don't currently accept light levels (among other data) from my Davis weather station. (At the risk of raising Michel's blood pressure , I should probably avoid asking again for local network Davis weather station support in the ISY. But it sure would be a nice addition.)
  3. Michel, My results are similar to that of TJF1960 for my Earthlink email address, for example using emailaddy@earthlink.net From with just my email address works fine. Received email shows it was From emailaddy@earthlink.net From <:emailaddy@earthlink.net> works, but the received email From field is blank. From fails, or at least the stuff I have tried before the : has failed to delivery any email. Thanks.
  4. Thanks, Michel. I was indeed testing the Mobilinc portal and have returned SPU back to the default setting.
  5. Could someone please advise the default setting for the 'SPU - Set Portal' command in the ISY Shell? I have changed the URL for testing and would like to return to the default URL. Can't seem to find any documentation regarding the default SPU setting. Thanks. edit: Found 'DPU' will reset Portal URL to default setting.
  6. Upgraded from 3.1.10 to 3.1.12 and installed Elk module without any issues. ISY correctly sees Elk areas and zones. New ISY programs to monitor and report Elk zone changes seem to be working just fine. Thanks UDI! Santa came early this year.
  7. "Does your startup program call a series of programs to start watchdog timers desired each time the ISY is restarted?" For the case of the Motion 1 Detect program, an init program calls its ELSE at startup to kick off the 24 hour timer. Really shouldn't be necessary if the detector senses motion or Dawn/Dusk conditions each day.
  8. Here's one method to monitor your motion sensors: First setup a program that looks for any activity from your motion sensor. Program: Motion 1 Detect If Control 'Motion 1-Sensor' is switched On Or Control 'Motion 1-Sensor / Dark' is switched On Or Control 'Motion 1-Sensor / Dark' is switched Off Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Detects Motion Sensor, so we can monitor battery with Verify Motion Sensor pgm. Then setup another program to watch for that activity every day. This program will reset each time the motion sensor is activated, but if 24 hours elapse without any activity detected, it will send out a notification. This program is also called by an Init program at ISY startup so it is triggered to start monitoring. Program: Verify Motion 1 Sensor If Time is Last Run Time for 'Motion 1 Detect' + 24 hours Then Send Notification to 'wrj0 email' content 'Motion Sensor 1 Fail' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If no motion detected for 24 hours, then battery may be dead. Send notification. Set up similar programs for the rest of your motion sensors. Hope this helps.
  9. My first 2420M Motion Sensor, Rev 1.1, "4908" provided a single low battery report on the second battery installed (running ISY rev 2.7.12). I changed out the battery before finding out if multiple reports would have been received. The first (original) battery in the same MS (with ISY rev 2.7.0) did not provide a low battery report - I found the battery dead after noticing motion sensor enabled lights were not turning on. Programs now run once every day to notify when no MS activity has been received in the last 24 hours.
  10. jkraus, Check this post for more info on the "reversed" keys on the RL2. I found the same reversal when I registered an RL2 in 3.1.10. I just incorporated the reversal into my programs.
  11. 3.1.10 updated fine. Fixed the excessive communications from a Venstar T8000 Thermostat rf adapter Rev 2.2. Thanks UDI! RL2 support is a nice addition.
  12. Starmanj, You'll need to purchase the Irrigation Module. Once you do, it will show in your Climate Tab. From the ISY Admin Console: Help | Purchase Modules | Irrigation Module
  13. MWareman, Many thanks for posting this - it works great! Is there a way to embed other input into the Post message, such as an ISY Program status or variable?
  14. Michel, Network Resource control of an ip camera and an ELK M1G seem to continue to work fine in 3.1.8. Please consider a quick release of 3.1.9 to support Logs - a feature too useful not to have. I tend to check my log every morning. Thanks.
  15. Thanks, Michel. Upgrade from 3.1.6 went smoothly and seems to be working OK so far, including Network Resource control of an ELK M1G and a Panasonic BB-HCM735 camera. Appreciate your getting the backup issue resolved - its good to once again have that capability!
  16. Tom C, Many thanks for your post above. I too spent some unsuccessful time trying to get a BB-HCM735 camera to work with the ISY99. Thanks to the details you provided above, it's now working great! The link to the CGI interface commands is also appreciated. With it, I've added some ISY network resource "features" to the camera, such as reducing the microphone sensitivity when the local wind conditions pick up, so the camera doesn't send sound reports due to wind noise. Func=AudioDetect&Kind=1&Data=10 Then returning it to normal once the Climate Average Wind value goes down. Similarly, the camera's motion sensitivity is made less responsive during windy conditions using commands from the CGI reference you provided. Thanks again for your post. The support one gets from this forum is just amazing.
  17. Excellent! Thanks, Michel. Looking forward to (yet another!) new release.
  18. Thanks, again Michel. Not trying to get under your skin, just wanted to report my observations. I do indeed have the Humidity Module installed in the T1800. And, the HUM/NOHUM jumper in the T1800 is set to the HUM position. Previously, when the rev 2.0 Insteon adapter was connected to the T1800, frequent humidity updates were received, as observed on the Thermostat page in the ISY Admin Console, and in the ISY log. With the Rev 2.0 adapter, anytime the humidity value changed, the ISY log recorded a Thermostat, Humidity, value, time stamp string. However, since installing the Rev 2.2 (build 1310) replacement adapter, it now appears that the only time Humidity reports are received is when a query is performed. Since an update to ISY rev 3.1.6 was performed about the same time as the new adapter was installed, my question really was if the Rev 2.2 adapter was causing the humidity reports not to be sent. It appears so. In looking into the ISY log from before the change of adapters, I find that with the rev 2.0 adapter, humidity reports were being received several times every hour throughout the day. But, after connecting the rev 2.2 (build 1310) adapter, humidity reports are now only received after a query. Please note: with a rev 2.2 (build 1310) Insteon adapter, I have not observed the double value humidity as Pgeengr reported above with his rev 2.2 (build 4010) adapter.
  19. Thanks, Michel. I was wondering about the rev 2.2 build 4010 version of the thermostat adapter reported above and if it may have included the humidity reports that used to be sent in rev 2.0. I'll look forward to testing your next release.
  20. Excellent. Glad you got it working as it's great to have (very!) local weather data.
  21. Looks like there's no current data being published from this Backyard station. Please see the status on the right side of this url: http://data.backyard2.weatherbug.com/da ... ?ID=p11114
  22. Michel, Since receiving a replacement T8000 Rev 2.2, build 1310 adapter a couple of weeks ago, the only time the Tstat reports humidity now is during the regular 3:00 AM Query. The Tstat with the previous rev 2.0 adapter frequently reported Humidity (often too frequently).
  23. SteveSBE, Yes. And it works like a champ. Just enter the p number of the desired WB Backyard Station into the LocationID field of the ISY Weatherbug Settings screen. Edit: Note Weatherbug does not (yet) publish light data from a Backyard station.
  24. I would also like to say thanks - especially to those who maintain the Wiki. The procedure for Replacing an SD Card is explicit, accurate, and easy to follow. I installed a new SanDisk 4GB SDHC (class 4) card and had it operational in about 10 minutes - it's been running fine now for a couple of days. Since others here have reported occasional problems with an ISY SD card, I thought it would be good to replace the card in my ISY which was almost 3 years old now. And, to have a spare on hand just in case. It's reassuring to know that I have a new SD card in operation, as well as two backups (the original 512MB card plus a spare 4GB SDHC).
  25. Thanks, Michel. Any SD card speed concerns?
