Hi - Thank you for helping me. It is a Insteon Motion sensor - 2842-222 v.41 Interestingly enough - it is currently sitting in a dark room and the dusk/dawn sensor isnt showing anything. Would a dead battery in a motion sensor cause the issue?

Hi, I periodically backup my EISY using the 'file' - then 'backup iox'. It hasnt been an issue in the past but for some reason now it is. The error is: Could not retrieve file ./FILES/CONF/27EC8F.REC. Then the backup fails. I rebooted the EISY but it is still having the same error. My Firmware is 5.8.0 UI is: 5.8.0 Any ideas what to try to backup my data? Thanks, Rich

Hi - when you say saving it on the home screen - do you mean the home screen of the android 'desktop'? If so i am not sure how to save it to my desktop on android? That would work for me. Currently I have to open the app, click favorites, then scroll to the bottom of my scene. I have a fairly large and noisy system so i tend to hit the off/fast off multiple times to get it to communicate (i understand thats a different issue) but having a quick way to send multiple off's (or on's) would be great. The old Mobilinc Pro app which I bought but can no longer get activated, has/had a widget icon for android which worked great. Thanks, Rich

Sorry - I miss typed - I "was" having the same issue, followed all the steps - it wasnt working then: Deleted Kasa from Polyglot, went into Eisy admin menu, deleted the node from there, rebooted, installed kasa node, waited 10 minutes and it works perfectly - as expected. No issues beyond it wasnt working but following your steps made it work.

Im was having a similar issue - I updated everything as above. Deleted the node server from the polyglot web page, then deleted it from my eisy slot #9, rebooted EISY. Installed Kasa on polyglot web page - slot 7 this time. Waited 10 minutes - shows connected - all nodes back

Hi - i did go through all the programs and made sure everything is disabled. Some programs referenced things that arent in the system so i deleted those but i did update, disable, and save all the programs that werent in use. I also updated and saved the network resources. I will update the firmware also. Still not entirely sure how to get better / more consistent EISY responsiveness in HA similar to my old ISY994.

No - unfortunately i did not do that but that will be tonights project. Is there a way to save a program i dont want to use? I have some older programs from my last house which i have - not used but more for reference in replicating things - they reference nodes that dont exist - can i keep those without using them?

So I can confirm that removing the network resources fixed that issue - the lights now flash 3 seconds after the alarm goes off - works perfectly! Thank you! So one other question regarding HA and EISY - im not sure how to send a second off command to a scene. I have a toggle switch of off or on, sometimes 95% of the scene is off and i need another off command to get it all the way off. The UD app lets me send an off or fast off - not sure how to do that in HA.

Thank you - updated - now waiting for someone to come home - will let you know if that fixes the delay. I am happy to troubleshoot as the main difference from the ISY + HA vs Eisy + HA is the introduction of Lutron into my system. I can see where the doubling up might cause issues. The two things I am using the EISY Polyglot: Kasa node and Caseta/Lutron node. They are also added into HA with their own integration. So they are again added multiple times. I am not sure which is the best way to test - remove the lutron & kasa integration from HA and control those devices only through the EISY or the other way around. Do you have scenes in HA that have lights from Insteon/Zigbee/Matter/etc on your system and they turn on quickly or with a noticeable delay? I do have my EISY with a number of programs vs using HA for programs - again I can switch but I feel there is a better chance that the EISY stays functional vs a bad HA update knocking the whole system down. However - i dont really need the EISY programs showing up in HA as thats not where i would use them. Any feedback in helping me streamline the issues would be great - i am confident the issue is something I did or duplicated. Thanks I have an EISY scene - Outside - it has roughly 15 different Insteon (and now 5 lutron) devices. Sometimes i need an extra ON command. This doesnt work great in HA.

I am using a little of this & a little of that. I bought the lutron module for the Eisy - it works great for my needs to add lutron switches to insteon scenes. It reacts quickly. I tried making lutron/insteon scenes in HA but i found there was a big delay. Even a scene with insteon to insteon was a big delay using HA. Im using the Universal Devices ISY/IoX integration in HA - not sure if that makes a big difference. Also the Lutron integration in HA - though some devices do get doubled up - pulled into HA from the ISY/IoX plugin and also the lutron integration. Thanks for the help.

Hi, So my driveway alarm program works as shown in the code below. It was fairly seamless with the ISY994 but seems to launch about 5 minutes after the triggerlinc turns on. In terms of the email, thats the lesser of the issue, the idea of the program is among other things, if i am in the basement, the driveway alarm goes off (cant hear it down there) the lights flash. It used to be fully in sync maybe a 5 second lag? This almost to me seems like it is triggering when the triggerlinc goes from on, stays open for a few minutes, then the triggerlinc goes off and that causes it to launch. Again this is a 'feeling' vs any real reason as it seems consistent. I have no Elk or Zwave. Hi, I migrated from my ISY994 to the Eisy about a month or two ago. Overall the experience went well but I am having a few lingering issues: Launcher: When I login I see two ISY’s with the same UUID – one is my local IP address (192.168.1.2) on my network (expected). The other is https://eisy.local:8443 – that is new and not something I use/setup. Not sure if that could be causing a communication issue. Driveway alarm program: When triggerlink is switched On i. Basement light blinks ii. Email is sent ISY994 Program worked fine / instantly Eisy Program works after about 5 minutes – almost as if it might be turning the program ‘on’ when it goes to the ‘off’ i. I have tested and confirm that ‘on’ works as expected – the program is just not doing what I want in a timely manner Programs post migration from ISY994 to Eisy Programs seem to have doubled in size – most programs are broken i. Incorrect if references from node name changes ii. Duplicate programs Is it possible that all these duplicates/incorrect devices/non-existent devices are slowing down response time? Home assistant integration While the Eisy works the device seems to be significantly delayed. Is there a way to test the ‘speed’ of my eisy? Any ideas on how to fix anything above? Thanks, Rich

Thanks for getting back to me. So my caseta is setup & working with the lutron app- i have a few devices in the app. i have a static IP reservation set. I goto the polyglot website, purchase the caseta trial, install it in slot 8. Reboot the EISY, click on node server, configure, slot 8. Node server info: Profile Name: Caseta User ID: Mac address? Password: blank but was set prior to reboot Base url: /ns/mac address_8 host name: 127.0.0.1 SSL/SNI checked Port 3000 timeout: 0 Isy User: 0 Is there somewhere I need to pair the smart bridge to the node server on the EISY? Not sure why I am lost.

Hi, I am trying to connect my Eisy to my Caseta smart hub pro. I added it to the Eisy, i think i configured it correctly but nothing happens. When I added the Kasa app to the Eisy it worked great. I connected the caseta hub to Home assistant and it asked me to press the link button on the lutron smart hub - the Eisy / Polyglot node didnt ask for any type of sync - just a password - i put the lutron password app login in. Am I missing a step? I didnt find any instructions. Thanks, Rich

So I think I have it squared away. I did a find/replace changing the URL from http://192.168.1.2 with my ISY to https://192.168.1.2:8443 this worked until the upgrade Today I upgraded again, it failed again but i swapped the URL to http://192.168.1.2:8080 This worked after the upgrade BUT I will have to see if it sticks after the NEXT home assistant upgrade.

Hrmm - i think i followed step 2 and am now wondering if I didnt stop home assistant when i did the find & replace. Assuming I didnt do that (because reading it now i am not sure how to stop home assistant to do that) - I did get it working/pointing to the new Eisy - it does survive a reboot/shutdown of home assistant - but breaks during an upgrade. Any chance i can fix it in this home assistant where it will work after an upgrade? My confusion is that everything works fine now just breaks after the upgrade.

Sorry - that was not specific - I edited the config to go from ISY994Pro to Eisy within home assistant. My 'Rich Lights" page works just fine before & after the edit. On the page, I can toggle lights on & off - works as expected. When I upgrade Home assistant, the upgrade works fine, all other integrations work as expected but the "Rich Lights" page which was working correctly with the blue tabs to turn lights on & off are grayed out with no option to move. The projector screen grab is a 'example' of the grayed out. I think the error is an integration failure after the Home Assistant upgrade? EDIT: I am wondering if my editing of the files to migrate from ISY to EISY is the issue? I used notepad ++ and it works on the current HA Version I am on 2023.4.6 Eisy version 5.5.9

Hi, I had an ISY setup with home assistant, buttons set as I like them. I have the Eisy, migrated from the ISY to EISY properly (I think). My old ISY had a non-https url: http://192.168.1.80 My new EISY (seems to have no web interface but thats a different issue: https://192.168.1.80:8443 Can I either change the EISY URL from the HTTPS://IP:8443 to http://ip:80 or How do I edit home assistant so it knows to look for the ISY settings at the new EISY URL? https://192.168.1.80:8443 Thanks, Rich

Hi - I added a lamplinc & I guess that caused the issue. When I removed it from the wall & deleted it, things are back to normal?
