When I try a PLM restore on PLM2, all I get is error after error (communication). Nothing gets restored. Now when I goto the PLM -show links it shows nothing at all, not a single link.

Hi, I have had some major problems with my system. I had to do a factory reset of my ISY & the PLM. I have several backups & they are all able to be imported into the ISY. I have two ISY 994 IR Pros (ISY1, ISY2). I only use one, the second one is from the upgrade program as a spare - not in use. I also have two PLMs (PLM1 active, PLM2 a spare). At this point, I am using my oringal items - ISY1 & PLM1. I restore my most recent backup & I get every device coming back with a communication error. If I am in the ISY admin platform, I am able to turn certain lights on & off primarily with the fast on / fast off commands. I am able to browse on my cell phone to the web interface & control devices from there as well. In my home, i notice serious lag on the physical buttons for devices in a scene. Also the lights on the switches themselves seem to pulsate a bit (some of them). So, I have tried many many factory resets of both ISY1 & PLM1 & loads of combonations of restore devices or restore PLM. Every one seems to result in all communication failures. However as I said above, if I log into the ISY I am able to get some lights on & off, so it is confusing to me. If i do the PLM links table I get one link & I should have about 600+. What is the best way to proceed? Do I use ISY2 & PLM2 & start over from scratch? I have about 100+ devices, loads of programs, and I am not anxious to do that as it will take a few days. Is there an way to figure out what is going wrong? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I noticed the ISY was not responding properly, so last night I logged into the admin platform & then rebooted it. It did not come back up. I went to bed & I unplugged the ISY in the morning, let it sit and now all I can do is ping it. No Http or telnet access. Any ideas what to do next? I am able to ping the device but that is all I can do. Help!! Thanks, Rich

So we had an expansion project & I added about 40 more switches and am well beyond the 1000 links. Is there anything I can do? The ISY or PLM seems to be non responsive. Do scenes use links? Are there things i can do to lessen the load?

Hi, So I have a scene called outside, which does all my outside lights. I have the "C" button of the KPL on, all my KPL's (about 10 or so) set so that the C toggles the outside scene on & off. So if I press "C", two devices (outside1, outside2) go on, but when I try to toggle them off, they dont go off (on a KPL). If I login to the ISY web or mobilinc (on my phone), and I turn off the outside scene, the two devices will go off. If I press the KPL, it doesnt work. I have a driveway alarm program which will turn my outside scene on for 20 minutes, then shut it off. In that situation, the two devices go off. Its weird to say the least. The end result, is if I log onto the ISY from a web browser, or phone, and turn off that scene, those devices go off. On the KPL, if I toggle the C button to turn the scene on & off, all devices (except outside 1 & 2) go on & off. I have about 12 devices in that scene. Thanks, Rich

Hi, I bought a few LED's at Costco & i was wondering if they generate more of the same noise than CFL lights, or standard incandescent lights? I might start putting them around the house & was curious if I will see a downside from a communication standpoint. Thanks, Rich

I ended up adding a second door with a second electromagnetic lock. This time I have an older appliancelinc that is linked to a trigger linc. I put the magnets together & it opens and a text message is sent. I have been having an issue with the appliancelinc 'hearing' the commands. I tend to open & close the trigger linc a few times, get a bunch of emails & only one open from the appliancelinc. I am debating buying a dual band lamplinc or a dual band outdoor on/off applaincelinc (not sure why the non-outdoor appliance linc is not dual band). I am wondering if i will get a better response with a dual band product.

Hi, I have a triggerlinc that I am looking to have send me emails when it is opened, and then when it is closed. I also have a motion sensor that currently sends emails, I added texts into the program, but it is not sending texts either. What am I doing wrong? The ISY Does send email & texts, so it is not an email issue but a programming issue on my part. Any help would be great! Lee, Using your control program, it waits each day for 25 then sends an on command? Do you get a heartbeat email each day or a light that goes on each day? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I want to test the heartbeat, really I want a program letting me know when it doesnt see a heartbeat but I made this: If Status 'Leak Brown Bath -Heartbeat' is On Or Status 'Leak Pink Bath-Heartbeat' is On Or Status 'Leak Main Boiler-Heartbeat' is On Or Status 'Leak Office Boiler-Heartbeat' is On Then Repeat Every 6 hours and 1 minute Send Notification to 'Entire House Email' content 'Water Sensor Battery' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I was expecting that when the heartbeat was heard by the ISY, i would get emails every 6 hours. I have not been sent an email. Ideally I will switch the heartbeat "ON" to "OFF" once I see the program works. Any idea why it doesnt work? Thanks, Rich

So what is the proper process? Remove old keypad, install new keypad, add to ISY & then what?

Is there a PLM that will do more than 992 links? I have added a number of scenes and other devices & seem to be back at 882 which doesnt leave me much room for expansion.

Hi, Over the years, i have swapped out a number of keypads. Each time I do, I have contacted UD about the process. I have never been able to swap it out without readding them to the scenes/programs. Is there a fool proof way of swapping out a keypad with another keypad & no loosing programs/scenes? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I would like my MBR keypad "A" to do the following: Set Scene Goodbye to off Turn the hallway scene on to 15% Turn on 3 switchlincs to on (fan's). The hallway scene is already part of the goodbye scene. Can I do this with scenes, or do I need to make a program? Thanks, Rich

Hi, So I did a show PLM links & i saw I had 700. I had a number of devices that got swapped out so I ended up reading my old thread here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10037&hilit=triggerlinc I figured I could get rid of some old links, so I went to File, then Restore PLM. THen I did a link count & somehow I am getting 1137 links even through I thought 1000 (not quite) was the link limit. How do I fix this? Thanks, Rich
