Hi, So I did a show PLM links & i saw I had 700. I had a number of devices that got swapped out so I ended up reading my old thread here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10037&hilit=triggerlinc I figured I could get rid of some old links, so I went to File, then Restore PLM. THen I did a link count & somehow I am getting 1137 links even through I thought 1000 (not quite) was the link limit. How do I fix this? Thanks, Rich

OK, now i got it, thats great. A question is, if I am going to take 4 bedrooms that have keypads & do the following: A - that rooms fan B - That rooms light at 75% C - That rooms light at 50% D - That rooms light at 25% Am I better off using 1 program, or am I better off make 4 scenes? With four rooms, it would be 4 programs, or 16 scenes.

Lee, Are you saying after the scene is made, I can go in to change the on levels & that would only be for the scene? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I am looking to make a scene so that the keypad buttons will dim my sons room to various percentages. I am also looking for a keypad to make the hallway light scene 15%. Can I do that or does it require a program vs a scene? I thought that ISY can do anything! Just like making a driveway alarm noise play! Either way its still one of my favorite purchases.

Yes, main basement control is part of the 3 way basement scene. If that light is on, then I am in the basement. It is part of the group going on & off. How would I fix that then?

I guess a scene doesnt show up as a status option but this should be fine because if Basement Control is on or off, so is the rest of the scene. Any ideas why it did not go on & off? Just off? BTW, when I tried it as is (with the one light), all it did was turn off. It didnt turn on & off. Any ideas why?

So I am working on this now. I am a little confused on the basement flashing part. I am using a scene called Scene: Basement This turns on a scene that has 4 insteon switches turning on. I dont see scenes listed in the program options. Is there a different way of doing this? Hrmm, so in this case it would run: The network resource Then Send an email Then run program (driveway alarm) Driveway alarm program checks the time, if its 6-6 then turn on lights How can I do a 'flash' of the downstairs 'basement' scene? Is there a way to leave it in the last state, so if the basement lights are off, they flash on/off/on/off / last state (off)? Or if I am in the basement with the lights on then it would do off/on/off/on last state (on)? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I have a driveway alarm & it is tied into a triggerlinc. It does the following things: If it is between 6pm & 6am it will turn on the outside lights for 20 minutes then shut them off. It will send me an email It will run a network resource (a beep from XBMC through outside speakers). I want the network resource to be first. I also want to add another item that will cause the basement lights to turn on & off a few times (since I cant hear the beep in the basement). How do I make the network resource first? Nice! That now works like a charm! I put one of the files into Itunes to tag it & it didnt work. What did you do that was different? That is really loud ! The only issue I now have is that my driveway alarm programming has 5 separate programs & I cant quite figure out how to give priority to the beep.

It wont even add the wav file from above. It will add other music MP3's. I am really confused why it doesnt work. Any ideas how to get it going? The rest of it all works fine, the network resource works perfectly (with another MP3). If i can get this silly 2 second MP3 working, we are golden! Thanks for all the help. Rich

So on the PC that has the music, I am using software which mimicks airplay since my wife is all Iphone/Ipad'ed (of course I prefer android to add to the confusion). The PC that is handling the audio is also running a xlite application for an IP Softphone. The idea is that if your in the house, then dial X202, it will do an intercom, that PC also handles the music. So if I install XBMC, then put the mp3 of the driveway alert into the XBMC 'directory', your saying I can have the ISY send a play request to play the alert when the triggerlinc is triggered? I really appreciate your help, if I could take you up on your offer for more help, that would be great. I think I understand a general idea on how to do it! Thanks, Rich

I have the network resources installed, I am a little confused on how to proceed. What is your suggestion on the best way to make a PC play the sound (wav or Mp3) through the PC speakers when the driveway alarm goes off with the triggerlinc?

The main problem I see is that I have the buzzer which is in sync with the person driving up the driveway, if the ISY gets a signal that the driveway alarm is active, then it sends an email to a PC, which processes the email in Outlook, then a rule goes, etc. It could be a minute delay which isnt the end of the world, but having a loud buzz in the house, then a minute later a loud buzz outside might not be ideal.

Hi, I have a driveway alarm that is hard wired to a pico speaker in my house, the speaker makes a buzzing noise when it has power, which it only gets when the driveway alarm goes off. I have a speaker that beeps when a car drives over the alarm. I also have an Insteon door sensor that is set to send an email through the ISY when someone drives into the driveway. I want to take the two wires from the speaker & daisy chain them 'somehow' to a computer so when the speaker for the driveway alarm goes off, the PC could detect the 12v dc signal then I could have it play a MP3 recording of the driveway alarm sound through the home audio system. Is there some sort of USB device (or serial) I could use to detect the voltage change (from none to something), then make it play a mp3 when it 'senses' the voltage? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I have a pool & two different 220v intermatic pool timers (one for the pool pump, one for the pool cleaner). My pool guy suggested getting a Jandy control system, Jandy valve actuators to change the heating from pool to spa, and it would also integrate into the heater itself to control the heat levels. I started to wonder if there was an ISY solution that might be better. On one hand, it works right now & I do have to manually open & close valves, and manually set the heat, its not exactly a chore. On the other hand, I do like gadgets. I did read a bit about a few solutions & something from autelis which does work with ISY. Any ideas would be great! Thanks, Rich
